After two rounds of debates, Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden still appears to be maintaining a solid lead in the primary — and it isn’t clear that any of the frontrunners have much of a shot at overtaking him. As I wrote last week just before the two nights of primary debates in Detroit, the former vice president hasn’t done much to earn his frontrunner status aside from being the most well-known politician in the race.
He’s also helped a great deal by the fact that he stands alone as the most viable candidate who can remotely claim the mantle of being a moderate.
A strong shove? He looks like an escaped client from Carlton Bros Funeral Home.

If Biden suffered another cerebral aneurysm (a real possibility, since he suffered two of them in 1988) and had to drop out of the race, would dimocrat voters automatically switch from Old Jo to the second, third or fourth on the list? I don't think so.
It might be that another 'moderate' would be dug up to replace him as the candidate who can beat DJT. Crazy Bernie? Pochahantas? Kamala Sutra? Peter the Homosexual? Booker the closeted one? No. No. No. No. No. Kooky Klobachar? Goofy Gillibrand? No. No.
Crazy Eyes Delaney? Maybe.
I continue to believe that the D convention will be deadlocked, and someone not running will be the nominee.

#4, you might be on to something. I don't think many think Biden will be the candidate. He just looks like a strong wind will blow him away. He talks tough, in a very weak voice. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Michele Obama jump in at the last minute.. Most Dems think she would be the only one who could beat Trump!

His appearances are carefully controlled and spaced far apart. Can anyone imagine Joe after 7 straight days on the stump and being questioned by voters? He will be exhausted while spouting jibberish.

Donald Trump will chew up either Biden, Warren or Sanders in a Presidential debate.
I remember the 2016 debates, President Trump did very well against professional debaters, imagine how well he’ll do with four years experience and confidence. Can’t wait to watch.
Biden doesn’t stand a chance, it’s going to be pitiful to watch.
Good times! Good times!

Truly I think the Demos will unite behind ANY candidate. They just plain HATE Trump, just as we hated Hillary.
Our real worries should be previous swing states, changing demographics, and the biggest worry of all--- if TX turns blue.

A good, stiff feather. Michelle may accept the draft since she is the most popular woman in the world but I don't thing Felonia von Pantsuit is finished yet. With her it's an obsession and the FBI has been forbidden from touching her.

What will it take to topple Biden? Any candidate at least ten years younger, is honest, and whose policies sound remotely sane. Should be easy, but not with this lot. Ultimately, Joe Biden's worst enemy will be Joe Biden.

Why bother to speculate. None of the announced candidates, including Biden, have a chance. Some spectacular new, or old candidate might, but none on the horizon. The democrat party is dead for the next five years, at minimum, baring some remarkable tragic event or act of God.

I still contend that Biden is ahead because everyone else is so outrageously leftist. But there is a LOT that is crooked re: our Joe (and since he is a sympathetic figure and way ahead nobody else in the Primary roster will sat anything for fear of a backlash) and I have to assume that will eventually come out.

Mark my words--Michelle Ma Belle is waiting in the wings for her coronation. Why else would we hear these improbable poll results naming her the Most Popular Woman in America? That was Hillary's claim before the terrible campaign she ran in 2016. Why do you think we haven't heard from her or Smidgen lately? She's busy practicing her moderate (forked) tongue so she can be swept up into her new role as the 2020 Presidential candidate. A two-fer: Female and black. THEN the racial healing can begin. /sarcasm

Advertise that Republicans vote on November 3 and Democrats vote on November 4th. Just to reduce overcrowding at the polls.

Former Vice-President Biden has been an elected liberal Democrat DC lawyer politician since the beginning of the modern political era in about 1972. Thinking that he would make any substantial changes in what has been going on in hyper political “UniParty” and “Deep State” DC is fool’s gold. Biden is now moving progressively forward by blaming President Trump who has been in DC for two and a half years for everything that Biden now says is bad throughout the USA including the current US economy. By doing that Biden is hoping that his audiences are mostly dopes.
If Biden does get the Democrat socialist nomination it will be fun watching him get annihilated by Trump during the presidential debates. Biden is a really old man, if elected, when inaugurated in January 2021 Biden would be older than President Reagan was when Reagan left office after fulfilling his two terms. The presidency is a hard and demanding job, so it will be almost impossible for Biden to successfully complete two four year terms as President.
The important thing to watch if Biden is nominated by the Democrat socialists, is who he selects as his Vice-Presidential running mate, as that will be the person who the Democrat socialists want to finish Biden’s term when he quits because of an almost certain advanced age related health situation. That person will most likely be a minority group Democrat socialist who has not yet emerged onto the national scene at least as far as this race is concerned. If that scenario were to occur, that yet unnamed person would automatically become President without being elected, and then be qualified to run for President in his or her own right for two additional terms with the potential of being President until 2032.

Think of what this really means. 32% of dems want "Not-a-Crazy-Communist" of which they have exactly ONE to choose from. The other 68% of dems want "A-Crazy-Communist" and their votes are distributed among all the other smurfs. As the smurfs drop out, the voters will shift to other crazy communists, not Joe Biden. The only question is how quickly the others get winnowed out. The nature of the dem primary is proportional voting. That means that that Joe would get about a third of the votes in each state. If this goes on for a long time. All the others will be kept in low numbers. If most drop out, the remaining candidates would benefit from the consolidation. They could end up with higher percentages in the last races but still lose because Boden gets more in the earlier primaries. If a lot of them hang on until mid March, Sleepy Joe could build quite a lead. If Warren and Sanders keep sluggin it out until the end and split the "Crazy Communist" vote, it could keep either from beating Biden.
The only solid chance is if all but one other besides Biden drops out and that other gets 68% of the vote for the last 40% of the delegates.
It's a numbers game.
