A shooting with multiple fatalities and several people wounded has occurred near Ned Peppers Bar on East Fifth Street in the city of Dayton’s Oregon District. Here’s the latest:The shooter, who has not been identified, used a .223-caliber high-capacity magazine rifle and was wearing a mask or covering over his face. “If the Dayton police had not gotten to the shooter in under a minute, hundreds of people in the Oregon District would be dead today,” Whaley said. “This is the 250th mass shooting in America,” she said. “It’s sad that it’s in the city of Dayton.” She called the shooting “a terrible day for Dayton.”

OMG What a tragedy. Our poor little city of Dayton! First the Tornadoes in May - 10,000 people affected. Now this tragedy - which seems manufactured - a copycat play? And then we have the idiot Leftist Nan Whaley - who has presided over Dayton while vacant houses rot and corrupt city workers get arrested by the FBI. They say the guy was wearing body armor. So I'm not sure how the cops took him down.

America's mental health crisis rears its ugly head, twice in the same weekend. Thankfully, this time, the Dayton police killed the gunman before he could take any more lives than he did. A copy cat. Doesn't anybody carry?

Not sure what is really happening here. We have three mass shootings in a very close period of time. They need to look at all three and see if there is any connection. Just saying, young males, motive?, shooting in firearm free areas, want to make a real impact with the number that they take out.......

Particularly with two shootings (so far, at least) in such a short time, we have to consider the possibility of a false-flag operation.

Fast and Furious failed, so apparently they have tried an alternate strategy. Are there handlers out there egging these deranged people on, much like the sickos who urge mentally unstable people to commit suicide? I would put nothing past the evil Soros leftists, nothing. They can't enslave us without getting our guns away from us, so that is a primary mission, more important than anything else. Privately owned firearms are the only thing preventing the wholesale elimination of our other rights.

It's been reported that in both the Dayton and El Paso shootings the deranged, cowardly shooters both wore body armor. An observation: Wouldn't it be easier to track the purchase of body armor than to infringe on the 2nd amendment rights of all Americans? All manner of rifles are used for hunting but last I heard deer never shoot back so the purchase of body armor, outside of law enforcement, etc. , to also include Brinks money transportation types, should raise a red flag. Generally I'm not in favor of more regulation and this wouldn't eliminate the problem of mass shootings because you can't regulate insanity but it might make a dent by identifying people with issues before they act.. I've said it before....maybe we should reinstate the draft, Israeli style, where all young people have to serve. Get them out of the basement, playing video games where they shoot at people who don't shoot back. That's my rant of the day.

Beyond the horror here, do you not see a pattern developing? I'm a writer by nature, and back a few short years ago, I started (and still have) a manuscript about a series of men who had been mentally programmed to turn from normal human to raging mass killer by a series of phrases used by a radio personality. Yes, it's far-fetched. It's fiction... isn't it? I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I'm really not, but you don't need to be a conspiracy nut to see that these things come in cycles, and before the blood even coagulates, every single leftist socialist out there runs to a microphone to demand that the government confiscate all guns. Further, you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to realize where we would be without a way to hold off a government run by those who don't think that YOU can own a gun... but they have a militia of programmed 'soldiers' who will be carrying. I'm not 'urging' anyone to do anything rash, stupid, or 'leftist-like.' Killing those who don't believe the same 'truths' as do you is wrong in every manner or shape of the word. I am telling you to watch what is happening around us and begin to question if it isn't being done on a higher level. Maybe I need to dig that manuscript out and finish it.

Agree with #8 - this could very well be a false flag. #12 is not that far off base concerning mental programming. The CIA started working on that years ago (MK Ultra). So it is quite possible that someone or some organization is involved in mind control. I would not be surprised to find out that corrupt government entities were practicing it; I would like to know how they find and select their victims. Are there people acting as agents in schools and colleges grooming kids for nefarious purposes?? Yeah..... I know this sounds CRAZY and I hope I'm wrong. But in the past year I've learned how criminal past administrations have been so at this point even something like mind control doesn't seem to be so "out there" any more.

I honestly believe that these things are happening more and more because, as a society, we no longer are mindful about God or even the concept of God. In generations past, those who were outside of the church were still brought up with the concept of a God who would judge our actions. There was a sense of justice that would eventually sort all of life out. The world was full of sinners who still had some 'fear' of God. Starting in the early 60's, with the O'Hare decision, God was excluded from public education and more and from public discourse. Apart from God, nobody can build a case that these shooters did anything WRONG. If we really are just a profoundly fortuitous reconstitution of dirt and water, and nothing more, there is no such thing as right and wrong because in the final analysis there is no justice. We just cease to exist. These shooters are knowingly, or unknowingly extrapolating their line of moral (behavioral) trajectory that has been put hopelessly off course with the absence of God in society. That line leads to countless acts of evil acts that, in the current state of thought, are not even considered as MORAL issues, but public policy failures. Horse5h1t. This is evil, coming home to roost, not because the United States has not fully reached a state of enlightenment from leftist dogma, but rather, because that dogma has elevated man to the final arbiter of right and wrong, leaving morality up to debate as opposed to being in the hands of God.

The Trump administration said on Tuesday said it will begin treating five major Chinese state-run media entities with U.S. operations the same as foreign embassies, requiring them to register their employees and U.S. properties with the State Department. Two senior state department officials said the decision was made because China has been tightening state control over its media, and Chinese President Xi Jinping has made more aggressive use of them to spread pro-Beijing propaganda. "The control over both the content and editorial control have only strengthened over the course of Xi Jinping's term in power," said one official. Changes to an academic curriculum normally do not arouse public controversy, but we do not live in normal times. Yale University’s decision to abolish its venerable “Introduction to Art History: Renaissance to the Present” has drawn considerable publicity and outrage, surely to the surprise of its instructors. For Tim Barringer, chairman of the art-history department, it was a straightforward act of modernizing. “No one survey course taught in the space of a semester could ever be comprehensive,” he told the Yale Daily News, nor could any single course “be taken as the definitive survey of our discipline.” Instead of that course’s heroic journey from Michelangelo to Jackson Pollock ...

Statistics drawn from the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Program show that the violent crime rate in 2018 hit its lowest level since 1971. FBI crime stats show the “estimated rate of violent crime was 368.9 offenses per 100,000 inhabitants.” That is a 3.9 percent reduction in the rate when compared with 2017 stats, but the real lesson emerges when we look long term. For example, Bearing Arms reports that the 2018 rate of violent crime was barely above the 1971 rate of 396 offenses per 100,000 inhabitants. Ironically, one of the greatest differences between 1971 and 2018 is that there are exponentially more privately-owned firearms

Divorced, excommunicated, 25 years old with three children, my mom never felt sorry for herself. She told me time and again during my boyhood that we should appreciate everything we had. Take nothing for granted. Three weeks of Air Force survival training in the rainy mountains of Colorado taught me how easily I had taken the simple comfort of a dry, warm bed for granted. Watching my infant son turn blue, with nary a breath or a heartbeat, taught me how quickly I had taken him for granted (he survived). We take things for granted all the time, don’t we?

Engineers at Purdue have built a flying robot to mimic one of the most expert flyers in the natural world: the hummingbird. Drones wish they could fly with the agility and grace of the biological family Trochilidae, which includes all 357 types of hummingbirds. Boasting the flying capabilities of birds and the hovering abilities of insects, they represent an intersection of flying philosophies that scientists are eager to unlock. Hummingbirds could lead to leaps forward for search-and-rescue drones, commercial filming robots, military use, and any other flying venture that is punctuated by quick, unexpected stops and starts.

I’d be willing to bet that most students thoroughly enjoy this. It’s kind of like having ‘snow days.’ However, what might be in store for these students could be far more important than a snow day, as it’s possible that the virus may herald a revolutionary shift in education. Throughout the years, American homeschooling and online K-12 education has become far more popular and realistic than ‘brick and mortar’ public schools want to admit.

Durham reportedly opened criminal investigations last fall. And unlike the narrow Justice Department Inspector General’s review of the abuse of the FISA process, Durham is looking into the questionable activities of other government agencies, in particular the CIA and its former director John Brennan.
