Why did Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resign?
His supposed “offense” was declining to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein in return for the billionaire sex predator’s guilty plea in state court (and concomitant jail sentence) when he was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. That is hardly an offense or even scandalous. It’s a professional decision that prosecutors across the country make every day. You can agree or disagree with it, but it is hardly grounds to lose your next job over.
So what is going on here?
The least likely possibility is that there really was something scandalous about Acosta’s decision.
If prosecutors across the country are offering deals like this every day to the rich and powerful, that explains why no one worries about getting caught. A little bit of night time jail time, freedom during the day, no one bothering you when you don't report in during your parol, move to an island where you cannot be monitored, and continue to openly party with underage girls.
The one thing Acosta should have done was name the person who instructed him to offer that deal.

I'm sure there is a lot more to this than we know about. There always is.
One thing is certain. If I worked for Trump I would not buy a house or concern myself with a retirement plan.

It's not unreasonable to suspect that this sudden popping up of the Epstein case has more than a little to do with the ongoing Spygate investigations, which certainly include the ultra-corrupt Free Pass Comey handed (in exchange for...?) the felonious Miss Clinton. Our gut tells us the degree and extent of criminality uncovered among top Democrats is still at the "not scratched the surface" point...

Have any democrats associated with Epstein resigned? They're never guilty of anything even when they're brazenly guilty of everything. Bill Clinton just lies and keeps it moving. People talk about it for a minute, but he suffers no consequences.

The love of money is the root of all evil. Money allows many rich and powerful people to do whatever they want. There are always those who will look the other way for the promise of hard cold cash or political power. What we see here is the total depravity of man enabled by individuals whose love of money ignores the suffering of others. Sex with underage teens is the least of the crimes committed. If the truth is revealed, it can only be described as unimaginable debauchery.

Another reason that Trump didn't stand up for Acosta may be that Acosta was not carrying out Trump's agenda as Labor Secretary. Deregulation is a key part of Trump's economic growth plan and Acosta dragged his feet. The new acting secretary worked with Elaine Chao when she was GW Bush's labor secretary. Chao was probably Bush's most effective cabinet member. She took on organized labor in a big way. I wouldn't mind seeing her back in that position; I don't know if she's Never Trump or not. But as McConnell's wife she would never get confirmed.

Senatah Chuk Schooma was all over the big scandal of Acosta going
easy on filthy-nasty Epstein. He demanded an immediate resignation
and got it. Now what, Chuk? You resign for taking Epstein's money?

Now that Acosta's gone and Trump's not involved, expect the whole Epstein thing to be out of the news by Monday. Never mind that there won't be any follow up on Clinton.

Rember, this Acosta-Epstein deal was consummated in 2008- during the campaign season. Epstein was heavily involved in trading sex with little girls to big-money people and "connected" people, like "Horndog" Bill Clinton, for money management deals and special political favors. Yes, part of that sentence is speculation on my part- but, it is speculation based on how the big money and big politics works. Epstein did not build Lolita island and stock with prime stock for a hobby. This turned into very big (as far as he was concerned) deals. Did he video his "clients" in compromising situations? Most likely- who wouldn't? The deep state had to know this was going on, of course. Nothing big gets by them, right?
Now, imagine you are Epstein brought up on charges by some "little fish" in the Fla Att Gen office. Who do you call? Of course, your buddies who "Owe you one", right? I would guess one call to Bill Clinton or someone else well connect5ed (Schumer?) was all it took. Presto, machinery swings into action, an important, but then rather obscure Acosta comes flying in to the rescue. They had to stop the prosecution at all costs. The 53-page indictment brought against Epstein by the Fla prosecutors is very telling- This was big and they really wanted Epstein and all the dirt he had on folks. Acosta come in, interviews Epsteins attorneys, "How much damage so far?" Then Acosta garners the deal he did. And it is not as Acosta says, "The best he could get." As soon as the Fla AG spouted off with the 53 page, dated indictment, Acosta knew the jig was up becasue his intervention was post facto! He had to quickly resign. He lied, got caught, now the S**t will hit the fan. You have to know Trump was behind all this. Perfect timing!

Slick invited the pimp he secured under age girls from to his daughter’s wedding?? If we assume that Hillary and Chelsea knew about Epstein, how sick is that?

I support the smokescreen theory. You can bet that some well known members of the democrat hierarchy have been involved in Epstein's adventures. NJ senator Menendez comes to mind and of course Bill Clinton as well but they're probably just the tip of the iceberg. The left took a shot at Acosta to obscure the facts of this case but Trump didn't bite, being one step ahead of them as usual.
Bottom line: Epstein has flight logs, stills and videos of the pedophiles involved and won't hesitate to throw his buddies under the bus for a lighter sentence. On the other hand...If Epstein actually gets bail and flees to a country without an extradition treaty then we'll know the fix is in because his revelations would reach too far into the halls of congress and the DC swamp in general.

One more time. Acosta’s “decision” re Epstein is fully documented and explained in two articles by Ann Coulter that were posted here within the last week. Ann makes it easy to understand what happened. The #NeverTrump media never will. Use site Search to find her articles and read them.

Heard yesterday that Trump had unloaded Acosta because he was no longer listening to him for advice, and he was no longer effective in his job. Trump hires these people to do a job. When they no longer can, for whatever reason, he no longer has a use for them. Its nothing personal. He is just jettisoning some deadwood. As for removing a Democrat smokescreen, maybe, but the Democrats will create another one. They will protect the Clintons (and the Obamas) at all costs.

A shame for Acosta, but now, replace him with someone much less friendly to the leftists.
Teach them that they do NOT gain when the scream for a Trump person to resign, the LOSE because the replacement will be someone they hate even more.

#13 has great advice about reading Ann Coulter's article. She explains that the Democrats in Palm Beach County prosecutor's office were going to do NOTHING to Epstein. This ticked off the local police who brought in the Feds. Acosta pressured the local Dem prosecutor to give him jail time. The locals must have been bribed and they went soft on Epstein. Keep in mind that Hillary was gearing up to run for president the first time and that she needed to keep Billy Jeff's sins out of the news. Also keep in mind that GWB#43 did not fire all of the Clinton people in DOJ (like he should have done), so there were plenty of people at DOJ to work with the Dems in Palm Beach to protect the Clinton's. At that point, she almost had a lock on the Dem nomination. Then Obama came along and upset her game (just barely). You have to wonder if the Saudis, the Brits (protecting Prince Andrew),
or the Russians(?) used some of the knowledge to blackmail people into supporting Obama. We know a President Hillary would have blackmail to assert power against any foreign leaders. (Remember all those FBI files she stole to use against American?)

What is Comey´s daughter doing as an Attorney of the Department of Injustice in a prosecution aimed at harming our champion President Trump? This gal was in the original Pussy Hat demonstration even while James Comey was still Director of the deep state machine called FBI.

I suspect it could be more about Acosta slow walking the Trump agenda then it is about Epstein. From what I have read about Acosta and Epstein, he stood his ground and got something other than a total walk away that Epstein wanted. I hope we find out exactly who pressured Acosta into that Florida deal several years ago. Krischer and ??? I also hope Barr does not recuse himself like Sleazy Sessions did. We do not need another session of being left flapping in the wind.

The entire Epstein thing was re-opened for the express purpose of throwing dirt on the President. Who on earth cared about Epstein even a little bit before we got wind of his pedophilia?
People who live their entire lives working for any government develop that entitlement mentality and come to believe they are DUE.
