Does she think "all men are created equal" means only males. She sounds dumb enough to. However, how is that statement sexist, racist or prejudicial. I guess she expected Jefferson to enumerate different types of "men." What a loser.

I recall 1776 perfectly. Nations around the world had abolished slavery and given full rights to women. But for some reason, the racist scum founding fathers were so blinded by their hatred that they refused to grant equal rights to slaves, women, Native Americans, and the transgender community. - Official Democrat Party talking point.

This person is sexist, racist and stupid. Judging 18th century people by the standards of "liberal" political correctness is the height of ignorance. Judge them rather by the standards of the day and they were sublimely liberal and produced documents and a political philosophy that however many the shortcomings of the individuals produced an ongoing striving for individual freedom of choice and liberty for all peoples and nationalities. It was white folks who paid in blood and money to free the enslaved first in our own country and then throughout the world over the two hundred forty some years since. It is the party that this woman freely associates with that fought for the enslavement of her race, who pushed Jim Crow laws that kept the black citizens of the nation in political bondage for another hundred years, it is the party she is a willing part of that produced the KKK as a wing of white terrorist activities that kept political power in the hands of the whites in the south. I would point out that the Republicans were the party that pushed successfully for the voting rights bills of the late fifties and mid sixties.

The little idiots who listen to this crap fancy themselves heroes; they fancy themselves as such because nobody is setting them straight. Nobody is setting them straight because in many cases the parents and g-parents are equally ridiculous. I live in California and I know what I'm talking about I assure you. We have tolerated this war on America and this is the fruit. Rather bitter isn't it? They ridiculed the claims of enemies within bas the communists filled the ranks. They desecrated our flag and our high court said that was okay. Then their progeny got a pass by enrolling in college funded by student loans by going to college when our best and brightest served. That gave then a big leg up over those who served. Those who served came back years behind in seniority and schooling - tough to play catch-up. Then they turned on the veterans. They we allowed public employee unions and guaranteed civil servants job security. That was important because is who has the real power today. Like spoiled children whose mommies and daddies gave them everything they ever wanted we have created a mess. Those children hated the veteran and America and were taught all about the universities and college about the wonders of communism. Our primary and secondary schools are now nurseries for the communists. Our system has been corrupted. It happened in steps and it happened because the steps were small enough that it was not worth fighting over. And it still is. Look at this shining example of how blatant it has become. Now there is talk of civil war. President Trump is trying to gets us back on track. Pray for him.

In one of the original drafts of the Declaration of Independence Jefferson explicitly calls for the abolition of slavery and the immediate deportation of all former slaves back to their country of origin. He objected to freeing any one of his own slaves and only supported the complete dissolution of the practice. This draft was on display at the New York Library over the 4th. Too bad he got overruled by the Declaration committee and dropped the clause in the final version. It would have avoided the Civil War and much other suffering.

I would recommend the last 20 minutes of "1776." The first step was independence, then the setting up of a system to allow unlimited improvements in the future--if enough people wanted them. Our founders did what no one had ever done before: separated from their mother country. To ding them now because they didn't fix EVERYthing future generations might want is a ridiculous standard to hold them to. Only idiots would think that's o.k.

Looking back at history through the lens of today is the height of ignorance. It ignores the fact of growth that societies all experience. What was condemned now, was commonplace in history. It is a fact of life. We learn and grow and that is why civilization evolved. This is just pandering on steroids. History is there as a warning and as a lesson to be learned. We learn from our mistakes, change behavior and move on. Constantly beating ourselves up over the past does nothing, but when you learn from your mistakes and correct them that is when progress is made. These virtue signaling nitwits believe continual self-flagellation will right all wrongs which is nonsense. Admitting a mistake or wrong doing and turning away from such behavior is the mark of progress. Perpetual penance is foolish and harmful.

Two simple words, and yet, last week, they seemed to cause an ever-widening philosophical separation in these United States of America. For the progressive, socialist left, our 243rd Independence Day was relegated to yet another opportunity to criticize President Trump. Sadly, the left in America, enabled by the media pundits, lost sight of those two words, “American independence.” Instead, they focused all their emotion and angst against one person. And in doing so, they have effectively transferred their hatred of that one person into a perceived hatred of America … and we know that perceptions lend themselves to reality.

The U.S. women are World Cup champions. Millions of fans across America are celebrating. In parks, on downtown streets, in living rooms, and elsewhere. So are the tens of thousands who travelled to France for the occasion. Fox News figured it would send a reporter and camera crew across the Atlantic to capture the scene in Lyon. And ... uh ... they found quite a scene! (Tweet) Then, during the World Cup, a video of Rapinoe saying she wouldn’t go to the “f***ing” White House incited a miniature feud between the USWNT co-captain and the President. A majority of the

Former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele reportedly says in a new book that President Donald Trump is a “motherf*cker” who is “defiling the White House.” The Guardian on Sunday obtained a copy of American Carnage: On the Front Lines of the Republican Civil War before next week’s publication and reported on Steele’s “startling” remarks that were reminiscent of Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s (D-MI) vow to “impeach the motherf*cker” in the White House. Steele has called Trump a racist on numerous occasions and has emerged as one of MSNBC’s go-to pundits on the Trump administration.

Christine Pelosi, a Democratic National Committee official and daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, warned conspicuously on Saturday evening that it is "quite likely that some of our faves are implicated" in the "horrific" sex-trafficking case against politically connected financier Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein is due in court following his sudden arrest Saturday in New York on new sex-trafficking charges involving allegations dating to the early 2000s, according to law enforcement officials. He has been accused of paying underage girls for massages and sexually abusing them at his mansion in Palm Beach, Fla., and in New York City. His 72-acre private estate on the Virgin Islands, a home said to be nicknamed

The young Texas woman seen in a viral video licking a tub of ice cream in a grocery aisle was found by police but will reportedly not be facing charges as an adult. Despite earlier reports that she could face up to 20 years in prison for the “malicious act of food tampering,” East Texas police said the San Antonio juvenile who was identified as the “licker” in the video would not be charged as she is a minor. [Tweet] The Lufkin Police Department announced “Case Closed” in a Facebook post on Friday after the video with nearly 13 million views and a Walmart surveillance image sparked an investigation

Nike has withdrawn a new Independence Day-themed shoe featuring the Revolutionary War-era flag after former NFL quarterback and Nike-endorser Colin Kaepernick complained that the flag was a symbol of the slave era, according to the Wall Street Journal. Nike offered a lame excuse that it had removed the shoe from retailers because “it featured an old version of the American flag.” In fact, it featured the American flag that was actually in use in 1776 on the original Fourth of July, and it is named for the pioneering Founding Mother to whom its design is commonly attributed, Betsy Ross. As it happens, a version of that very flag

There are some things that are just not up for debate. These aren’t political issues. What happened in Florida didn’t center on MAGA hats, flag burning, or the merits of tax cuts. We actually had a high school principal question whether the Holocaust was a “historical, factual” event. The Palm Beach Post has the story. A mother of a student tried for a year to reason with the school administration to, you know, actually teach kids about this terrible period in human history without the nonsense. She wondered how this was being taught at the school. The emails between the parent and Spanish River High School Principal William Latson were
