A new study from Georgetown University reveals that if the student bodies of the 200 most selective American colleges were enrolled solely on objective SAT or ACT aptitude test scores, their student bodies would increase from 66 percent white under the current subjective system to 75 percent white.
Ironically, this study was supposed to prove, in the wake of the entertaining and immensely popular Varsity Blues scandal in which TV actresses bribed their lowbrow kids into USC instead of Arizona State, that affluent white people have unfair advantages in college admissions.
Smart white kids with either ethical parents or middle to lower income parents are screwed.

Read the article. Some interesting information that I suspect many of us do not know… You won’t get it in the intro.

Think of the horrible message this sends to non whites. "Don't worry about doing well in school because you can go to college anyway." Kids that don't work hard in school, almost never learn the life skills needed to be successful. You don't all of a sudden become a good student just because you are admitted to a college. The colleges are under enormous pressure to graduate non whites so they dumb down their education and continue to give them breaks. Even if you manage to graduate, which many "affirmative action" kids do NOT, you probably will not do well. That means you may not have great references as you go job hunting. When you start working, it will be obvious that you don't have a complete skill set or a good work ethic.
In short, giving kids a pass in K - 12 haunts them all their lives. You could send them all to college and it would make little difference.
Sure, there will be the exception, but those kids usually manage to get engaged on their own initiative and there are always those looking for kids that SHOW that initiative.
There is nothing surprising about all this. It is human nature and it is nothing new. The liberals think they are helping non whites with all their programs and giveaways. Instead, they are destroying them.

Re #4, it is heartening to know that someone reads the entire article. I try to post carefully articles that I think would be of interest. Too often I find that I am just attracting drivebys who have to put something on every thread whether they have read what was posted or not. Their replies reveal them. Discouraging, especially in times like these when information is power…so important.

Absolutely nothing in this surprises me in the least. White males are intentionally screwed over
by the current system, and blacks are boosted up artificially all along the way. Sadly, we have lots of
unqualified blacks in jobs that they are incompetent for. Most of us have seen this in our lives
many times. Lots of them in prominent public positions. The good news is that there are also a lot
of very smart blue collar white men who are really superb at their blue collar jobs, and if you hire them you will benefit from that.
A close family member was heavily involved in military screening testing many years ago. If the
candidate had a few specific markers (HS grad/not HS grad, ethnic group, etc) and a certain range
of test scores there were extremely high probabilities of failure in the "bad indicators" groups and
success in the 'good indicators groups'. The reality is, that these tests plus a few of the now
forbidden, or worse, reverse discriminated, information bits are an extremely accurate indicator of
success or failure. So accurate in fact, that in trying to locate the 'secret sauce' of some recruiters
in Chicago who had outstanding success attracting (apparent) high scoring recruits, in hopes of replicating there methods elsewhere, instead, discovered recruiters cheating and giving the answers to unskilled losers. But their results were two standard deviations off of the norm, so stuck out to a
statistician like a flashing strobe light. While hoping to find a magic wand, all that was found was another dirty diaper of corruption.
As much as sterotypes gets continuous bad things said about it, the reality is that there is a LOT of
truth there in stereotypes. That is how they get to be stereotypes.

And OP, I did read it all, and mostly do read the ones from sources likely to provide real insight.
This site is almost always really good stuff.
There are lots where the intro or first five paras is MORE than enough, too.

FTA: "More surprisingly, the Asian percentage would drop from 11 percent to 10 percent, even though Asian test scores have been climbing throughout this century." The author must have forgotten that during the Obama administration years, the left began referring to middle eastern muslim immigrants as Asian, a departure from the historical reference of of orientals as being Asian.

My white male son was recently accepted as a transfer student at an elite public university. If our state did not require this university to accept all students who meet the transfer qualifications and residency requirements, the odds are that he would not have been accepted and his space would have been given to an out-of-state student willing to pay three times the tuition and fees.
We weren't too worried about affirmative action transfer students because they would have to meet the same requirements my son met. Incoming first year students are another story altogether. There are definite advantages to being Black or Hispanic, and disadvantages to being White or Asian.
Going the transfer route makes the most sense for White and Asian students. There are plenty of spaces available as juniors since so many affirmative action and other students drop out, it's less expensive, (in our case 9K verses 25K in tuition alone), the student can work and live at home, and they're more mature when they go off to college.
If your state offers a transfer degree you should look into it before applying to four year universities. No one cares where your child started, they only care where they finished. We figured we saved a total of 50K on housing and tuition costs, and our son was able to save enough money from working that he won't have to work when he's at college.

Excellent points, #10. A friend got his engineering degree over about 8 years, night school, Jr. colleges
in several states as he worked to support a family with wife and two kids. Finally took off and went full time the last year at University of Kansas. And his diploma is just like all the other ones who graduated from KU that year, and a whole lot less $$. He graduated debt free, too.
