Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Joni Ernst (R-IA) split from members of their party Tuesday and requested more information on E. Jean Carroll’s claim that Donald Trump raped her 23 years ago.
While many of his Republican colleagues have remained silent on the issue, or come out in support of the president, Romney claimed the accusation placed by Jean Carroll, who previously said “most people think of rape as being sexy,” is a “serious” allegation, according to CNN.
“It’s a very serious allegation,” Romney said. “I hope that it is fully evaluated. The President said it didn’t happen and I certainly hope that’s the case.”

If Mittens is behind this you know he’s on a mission to damage Trump. I suggest we investigate Mittens dog in a cage on the top of his station wagon.

Let these posers "follow through" on this.
More information from who?
How does a Senator go about requesting more information?
Get answers from who?
Make Ernst and Romney ask the questions themselves.

In retrospect, considering that we survived the last 4 years of the Kenyan and PDJT is putting things right, I would have voted for Mickey Mouse instead of Mittens. I really regret that vote.

Did she claim to be abducted and drug into a UFO where the alleged assault occurred? People who make accusations that can't be verified should face consequent. Truth or Consequences.

Oh how very serious they are. What can they exaimne? They aren't prosecutors. They can't subpoena without approval from a committee or the full Senate. But the guilty until proven innocent philosophy sure is convenient for publicity. All they can do is grandstand. If Romney had opposed Obambi like he does Trump, he would have been proesident.

So Mittens and Joni choose to go where even the most Liberal politicians won't go. These 2 need to change parties.

Falsely accusing someone of rape is also a serious issue, Mr. Romney and Ms. Ernst. I hope you will be equally interested in looking into that.

Let me get on record: queen Joni is very tiresome and tedious. Not sure what game she is playing, but she’s not the “cute veteran” personna she’s making herself out to be.
I wouldn’t mind peeking at her (probably) growing checking account.

I suggest both question Anderson Cooper about his interview, which I'm sure CNN thought was going to be "big news" only to have her go off the rails with her wacky comments. So, wacky, CNN couldn't take a commercial break fast enough. She even hit on Cooper, who I believe is gay, right?

Maybe this should be looked at like the Smollett case? If this lady is investigated and found that she lied, could she then face charges similar to Smollett? If a decent judge and prosecuting attorney were found to take the case, then it might cut back on some of this false/fake accusations. This could be a positive.

Here's how Mitt became the Mormon Church's Senator.
He LOST but the Mormon Church changed the rules on the fly to allow anyone on the ballot IF he got "X" number of signatures.
Mitt got exactly 6 more than the minimum to qualify.
Then he won the primary as Mormon men do informal ballot harvesting by filling in his name when a fellow Mormon failed to vote in the primary.
Finally, Utah (as always) voted in the GOP over the Dem in the general election.
We despise Mitt
He was forced on us by a filthy lying religion based on the ravings of a sex cultist.

RE 17, Mitt's religion has relevance to the anti-Mormons who were Never a Mormon in 2012? Many evangelicals crossed that barrier and voted for Mitt but did 1/2 stay home? Obama did his damage in his second term. His "gotcha Charlie" second term?
So am glad the evangelical gave us Trump. I voted not Hillary in 2016 but will vote for President Trump in 2020 as will many others who can see right through the dem machinations no matter how apolitical they are or non-partisan.
The Romans and secular Jews of that time called the apostolic Christians cultists.

How I loathe Willard. I want my vote for him back. I have nothing but contempt.
And thanks so much, Utah.... you could have eliminated him in the primary election.

Per#17: Romney was forced on us by a filthy lying religion based on the ravings of a sex cultist.
Why do the administrators allow this person to continually attack the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in such a manner?

Good question, #25 -- I was surprised to see that comment. I've had to modify my language on this site before and my remarks were never so virulent as those of #17.

Regarding the above comments about the Mormon religion: To others, just about any religion has its hard-to-believe aspects. Please think that through. It's true about my religion, and I'm sure it is true about yours. It's true about sects and denominations within a religion. Just about any religion can be called a cult, depending on who's talking, so calling a group of believers a cult has little meaning. I am not a Mormon, but I have known a few on a daily basis, and I'd rather have a Mormon neighbor than many of the "non-cult" religions that one might name. We have LDS members on L-dot, and I hope we can rise above the unkind words. Besides, in this case Romney's problem stems from his association with the Bushes, who I believe are Episcopalians, Methodists (in the case of George W. and Lara), and Catholics (in the case of Jeb and his crew).
