President Donald Trump says he is delaying a nationwide sweep to deport people living in the U.S. illegally.
He said in a tweet Saturday he would delay for two weeks to give lawmakers time to discuss border solutions.
Three administration officials told The Associated Press the operation had been canceled because details had leaked in the media and officer safety could be jeopardized. The officials were not authorized to speak publicly on the operation and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The operation was expected to begin Sunday and would have targeted people with final orders of removal, including families

FTA:
At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border. If not, Deportations start!

Back in the Democrats and Republicans congresspersons' laps… For two weeks.

Now he should proceed with the raids per original plan. Their guard will be down.

Dream on Trump. Dems will not agree on anything. It’s a joke.

Trump will announce that he’s appointed Prosecutor Huber to lead this effort. Huber selected because he knows where to hide in Utah yet still receive his paychecks.
Trump risks becoming George H W Read My Lips Bush. Trump is releasing 1,000+ illegals a day but wants us to believe that deporting 120 will make a difference.

The cities have no authority to interfere with federal law enforcement officers when the are serving federal arrest warrants relating to final orders of deportation issued by federal judges. Any local officials who obstruct those federal officers could be arrested by US Marshals with their cases heard in the federal district courts charged with assaulting or obstructing federal officers and federal law enforcement operations. Very few local police officers, most of who actually support ICE, would want to risk their careers and freedom by attaining such federal convictions.

I agree Trump should go ahead with the Deportation plan tomorrow. Just do it in different cities than were announced! I don't blame Homan for being so upset about the Leaks. He seems to be the only person at DHS who knows what the heck he's doing! He stated he knew who the Leaker is, so I hope the person is fired. Time to get tough with people who are supposed to be on our side and wind up Leaking!

Here's the ILLEGAL aliens' chance to choose to go back home. Those not in compliance with current Immigration Law should take it. There probably won't be anymore opportunities.

2nd Post, so please excuse bad form.
What Trump is saying is that if he reaches a weak to nonexistent deal with Dems, then those that the courts ordered deported can stay. Sad.

Ugh. Very frustrating. If they've been told to go, they've got to go. Throwing them out is justice, not something evil.

I find it very odd all states were required to comply with Obamacare because it was federal law, yet the states are refusing to comply with federal immigration laws. I think it’s time for Trump to get the JD involved . Quit waiting!

Looks like the Dems rolled the pubbies again. They need 2 more weeks when they’ve had 10 years to do something. Nothing good can come out of waiting 2 more weeks . They don’t call the repubs the stupid party for nothing.

So, now fire the acting head of DHS and get someone who will actually WANT TO get rid of all the illegals.

Poster #13, it's because dems are bolder at disobeying laws that they disagree with than Pubs are at disobeying illegal declarations by dem presidents. Dems issue illegal edicts, and Pubs comply. Anyone bold enough not to comply, gets prosecuted or otherwise punished. Pubs pass Constitutional laws, and dems simply disobey. And, nobody ever gets prosecuted on their side.

Agree with #2 ... the designated deportees have already had their day in court ... just do it without any notice or fanfare.

Are you really surprised? I agree to not taking on Iran but I disagree with this decision. My guess is he never intended to round them up. By not dealing with the illegals he will lose the election, not to mention the Country.

Classic Trump, brilliant move. 10 days is meaningless, throw this mess right back at the Rats. Challenge these Rats to come up with a solution.

OP comment was in error. Should have said “so those leaks were not authorized”. That weaselly guy who is acting head of DHS gets my vote. Lou Dobbs pegged him weeks ago when all he could do was whine about not having enough money….

Shhhhh... Here's a tip. Shut up and just do it. No deals, no talks; just action, please. It can take some time to process millions back to their native lands, and we need to get started. Bigly!
