Phoenix police have released surveillance footage of the alleged shoplifting incident that led to a dramatic on-camera confrontation between officers and a local black couple and their kids. The CCTV footage allegedly shows Dravon Ames swiping a package of underwear and his 4-year-old daughter taking a doll on May 27 at the Family Dollar Store. The alleged shoplifting incident is what prompted officers with the Phoenix Police Department to draw their guns on Ames and his fiancée, Iesha Harper, in front of the couple’s two young kids.

Comments:

Always two sides to every story. Apparently the whole family was shoplifting. It wasn't just the 4 year old accidentally lifting a doll.

The whole freakin' family was operating like an organized gang and obviously have done this before. They should have all been beaten, including the thieving kids who are already on the road to becoming ghetto thugs.

There were never really two sides to this story. Several days ago the Phoenix PD sergeant spoke out an cited the original incident report as refutation to the “story” and notice of complaint this corrupt family put out and that was lapped up by the anti-police media. Called to this store for another shoplifting, police were advised that this family had also shoplifted. The shoplifters fled in their vehicle; the police gave chase and finally got them in the parking area at an apartment house. The man was seen throwing the underwear out of their vehicle en route. The man resisted arrest. That is when the gun came out. That little girl is a real pro at age 4. Watching her lift that doll in that rather bulky package, it is easy to see that this conduct comes naturally to her. One more thing: The family’s vehicle was impounded as the man was driving with a license that had been suspended for a DUI. The family that crimes together….

Pretty obvious that the kid just walked out with the doll. The guy was a bit slicker with his shoplifting. Thieves deserve what they get.

From the early reports, I thought the child had taken a very small doll without the mother's knowledge. The theft of the doll was so very blatant on the part of the girl and the mother should disgust the Phoenix citizens. This woman had probably done this multiple times, and will continue to do so. Phoenix should hangs its head for not having body cams for their law officers.

A Syrian refugee who allegedly plotted to bomb a suburban church after pledging allegiance to Isis has been arrested. House Democrats passed an appropriations bill Wednesday that includes a measure that would block Donald Trump from using the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force to go to war with Iran as tensions with Tehran continue to rise. The 11-line measure, approved as part of a nearly $1 trillion appropriations bill that includes funding for the military, health programs and the Energy Department, will likely be struck down in the Republican-controlled Senate. It's reasonable to anticipate that Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, would not send the version of this bill to the president's desk – especially since it takes away power from the presidency.

This is what they did to us during slavery. They used to beat us and whip us.”

The media outrage is itself outrageous. President Trump’s renewed pledge to deport huge numbers of illegal immigrants is inspiring anger, but it's hardly righteous. If, as a Homeland Security adviser has explained, the targets of Trump’s deportation plans will be those illegal immigrants who have failed to show for their assigned court hearings, then Trump is morally, ethically, and legally justified in deporting them. The tut-tutting chorus might as well spare us their faux moral histrionics. The immigrants Trump is targeting are people who have broken American law not once but twice.

Because freshman Rep. It’s striking how quickly the culture can change. Just a short time ago, surely few would’ve believed that a common viewpoint — that it would be unfair to let guys take away athletic victories from girls by allowing them to compete in women’s sports — would be labeled the result of an irrational fear. Yet here we are: What was considered common sense and common goodness is now a symptom of mental illness. “Transphobia” has gotten so much traction, in fact, that Brazil just criminalized it — it’s punishable by a half decade in prison.

Democrats are plotting a new strategy to get witnesses before Congress in their investigation of President Donald Trump - they plan to call Trump associates who have never worked in the White House. Their move is designed to circumvent the president's claim of executive privilege, which offers a shield to current and former White House staffers, who can use that claim to decline to answer lawmakers' questions. The new witness could include former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Trump campaign Paul Manafort and his former deputy Rick Gates, according to Politico.

This slight doesn’t make any sense at all except to highlight the fact that there is no tolerance from the pro-abortion left for pro-life politicians. What does a pro-life position have to do with cybersecurity? The answer is absolutely nothing.

“What’s your pitch to the swing voter on the fence?” ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked President Trump on Sunday. Questions of this sort are gifts to politicians, but interviewers ask them for a couple of reasons. One, they’re civic-minded. Politicians deserve the opportunity to make their cases straightforwardly — and voters deserve to hear them. Second, they save time. (Snip) Trump’s initial answer started off following the standard script. He got four words off that must have had his political advisors cheering, “Safety, security, great economy.” Ideally, this is where Trump should have stopped talking.

‘Third World” is now an anachronistic geographical term of the old Cold War. But after 1989, “Third World” was reinvented from a political noun into an adjective to mean more than just Asian, African, and Latin American nations nonaligned with either the West or the Soviet bloc. Rather, the current modifier “Third World” has come to transcend geography, politics, and ethnicity. It simply denotes poor failed states all over the globe of all races and religions. Third World symptomologies are predictably corrupt government, unequal or nonexistent applicability of the law, two rather than three classes, and the return of medieval diseases

Why haven't efforts to impeach President Trump gained Watergate-style momentum? The lack of energy has created a sense of bafflement and disappointment among some of the president's most determined adversaries. But there are some simple reasons for it. Here are three: 1.) The facts are different. In Watergate, the underlying crime was a break-in at Democratic National Committee headquarters, perpetrated by burglars paid by President Richard Nixon's reelection campaign. The scandal proceeded from there. In Trump-Russia, the underlying crime was the hacking of the DNC's and John Podesta's emails — a crime committed by Russians in Russia. Special counsel Robert Mueller, who indicted a number of Russians and Russian entities
