When the Orlando Sentinel editorial board heard that President Donald Trump officially would announce his 2020 reelection campaign in Orlando, its members started to discuss what to do.“The idea came up to just go ahead and do a partial endorsement,” Opinion Editor Mike Lafferty said Tuesday morning. “We settled on it as a way to make a statement.” (Snip) Reaction is still pouring in from readers. It ranges from plans to cancel subscriptions to statements calling us “crazy” and “un-American.” There are supportive emails and tweets as well. Here’s a few thoughts from readers:

How nice for the Orlando Sentinel to report they are doing so well financially they don't need us.

They won’t think that it was the wise thing to do if they end up losing a good percentage of their readers. By not endorsing the sure Republican Candidate, President Trump, they are in effect endorsing whoever the future Democrat Candidate turns out to be. In other words they were endorsing what is currently a “Crapshoot”.

What, ummm, makes an editorial board think that running a piece like this is a good decision?
Navel gazing? Narcicism? Total conceit?

The editorial was pure Trump Derangement Syndrome, just an angry, illogical, hateful, disrespectful rant.
What are the chances a rag like this is fair in their day-to-day coverage of politics and our President?

It's time to call a boycott of all companies that buy advertising space in the Orlando Sentinel until the hate-mongering "editorial staff" is replaced.

Extremely bad taste to do this on the day he decided to honor Orlando by announcing his reelection campaign in their city. Jerks.

I emailed them around 5pm today. This is what I wrote...
I guess that your editorial board thinks that they are smarter than most... that their opinions are far superior than others, that their reputation is grander than President Trump's and that journalist don't lie. But then again, 80% + of the nation thinks that journalists are nothing but partisan hacks, who are all liberals even though they never admit it.
President Trump doesn't need your endorsement. Believe me!
I can't wait until the people who are at the rally in Orlando see your self-important non-endorsement and they cancel their subscription to your rag. But then again they may need kitty litter liner...

Here's my email to the esteemed editorial board:
Dear editorial board,
You are like toddlers who have discovered their own feces, and, like the toddlers you are, have proceeded to smear your filth all over yourselves, each other, and whatever readers you have left.
And you wonder why people are so sick of your mess...
Sincerely

Americans have mostly become inured to a "Saboteur Media" by now. Trump was among the first to call out Fake News ... now we all "get it."

The Orlando Sentinel only survives from big ads by competing hospitals. They beg you to buy a subscription and will give you give cards to sign up. Horrible paper and always slanted.

It’s pretty stupid for a ‘newspaper’ to say that ‘the worst democrat (not knowing who that will be) will be better than Donald Trump.’

Why would this newspaper give a giant middle finger to all its readers, just before he makes his reelection announcement?? Talk about corporate suicide!

"News"paper editors obviously have a very high opinion of themselves.
Paper endorsements are useful to me in the very rare instances that I don't have a solid opinion on something. In that case, for whatever the local rag endorses, I take the opposite tack.

Poor little bedwetting libs just had to get their premature "thoughts" out early. Liberals wonder why we find them so disgusting and stupid. We might be Deplorables but we have functioning brains and don't go along with their groupthink to fit in with a pack.

For me, this paper makes two things out of Orlando to be avoided forever. The Not-So-Magic Kingdom is the other. Actually I don't have a reason to ever pass through that city again.

In other words, the Orlando Sentinel wants more unemployment, higher medical costs, more illegal immigration, more identity politics, more weaponization of our intelligence agencies, higher taxes, corrupt officials, loss of respect from foreign countries- including Iran , China, NOKO, Russia, and the other enemies, more abortions, higher energy costs, more radical environmentalism... I could go on, but there are just too many bad things to mention.

I watched Lafferty on a local Orlando news show last night. He claimed that DJT has already told 10,000 lies.
10,000 lies !
Is this man insane, or couldn't he keep his doctor and health insurance plan?

Just looked at the original editorial, and a popup came up offering 16 weeks for $.99....yep, 99 cents...bwahahahah

Let me see if I understand their thinking: "We published an editorial which caused many of our subscribers to threaten to cancel their subscription. I guess we need to write another one just like it so that they carry through."
Actually, this is probably what they were thinking, "We published an article explaining to our readers why we were smarter than they are and that they should do as we say. Many of our readers took offense at this, which must mean that we failed to make it clear to them how stupid they are. We should write another editorial which makes it clear that we think they are too stupid to tie their own shoelaces. That should improve our bottom line."
