Democrats are quietly airing concerns that battles with President Trump, including investigations of the president and his administration along with the noisy debate over impeachment, are overshadowing the party’s agenda, threatening its grip on the House in 2020.
That narrative has been fueled by Trump, who has used his Twitter feed and interviews to lambaste Democrats as the “Do Nothing Party,” when in fact they have spent the first five months of their House majority ticking through agenda items they highlighted in the midterm campaign, addressing matters including health-care prices, political corruption and background checks for gun buyers.
But voters aren’t paying much attention, party leaders are finding,

These absurd people are worried. Good. But this is from the Wa-Po, so the article steers hard to port before ending its lead.

Poor, sad dems. In US politics, it is OFTEN the case that the government is divided among the parties. To truly get something done, i.ie. make new laws, you must work with the other party. The dems have made it clear that they are unwilling to do that, that their desire to impeach Trump is their overriding concern. The day that they were supposed to meet with Trump over infrastructure issues, Pelousy deliberately made an inflammatory impeachment attack against Trump. That is NOT how you work together and Trump slammed the door in the dems face by stating the obvious, while the dems pursue impeachment, working together is impossible. Thus, the dems have CHOSEN to accomplish nothing.
The true aspect of this is that the dems are a party and function as a party. They are all a piece of AOC, Bernie, Liz, Max, Chuckie, Pelousy, and the continuing dem freakshow of characters. One Congressman trying to do something worthwhile cannot function apart from the whole. BECAUSE the dem party won the House, the idiocy is enabled and sustained by the majority of its members. The rest of the dems are absorbed into the blob. They whine that's not fair but if you are hanging out with a street gang that commits violent acts, YOU are judged to be violent, even if you, personally, didn't commit the violence. You are judged by the company you keep.
If, after Mueller finished his efforts, the dems declared it done and said "Let's get to work", they might have something to talk about . Instead, as a whole, they doubled down on failure.

What were they expecting? With a Republican led Senate in place none of their pandering giveaway schemes see the light of day. Americans are mainly thankful for that. In the meantime Nadler continues to make a spectacle of his Party with his ineffective bumbling efforts to find cable news rock stars to bad mouth Trump under oath. The nation is yawning and 100,000 people line up at Trump rallies.

I dont care what the house has passed because it has no chance of being signed into law. Thus, "do nothing congress" is accurate. The house isnt interested in doing the hard work of negotiating and compromising to get real legislation actually passed.

Thankful we were blessed with a man who knows strategy. When the prior election was thwarted by Pajama Boy, Paul Ryan, DJT put his energy into developing winning Senators in order to stop the flow of blood from the wounds to the nation.

When I think of democrats as 'do nothing party' I paint Jerry Nadler's be fat Humpty Dumpty body at the front of it and Nasty Nancy Pelosi trying to herd chickens in a barnyard. It won't happen.

In order to pass a new law, it must pass both houses of Congress and be signed by the President; passage in the House is NOT adequate. This author does not seem to understand this basic fact.
House Democrats and their leadership have FAILED to work cooperatively with the Senate and President to address a myriad of American issues such as the imigration crisis, China and Mexican trade, Iranian hostilities, Chinese military expansion, infrastructure improvement, federal debt reduction, etc.
The Washington Post and House Democrats need to quit spouting their propaganda and face reality; the Democrat House has FAILED to a complish anything of substance for the good of America!

While it is true that some Democrat agenda items have passed, they are luckily being stopped by a Republican majority Senate. Just because it passed (usually along party lines), doesn't mean that it is a good or "fair" piece of legislation. In many cases the legislation is so skewed to the left that it would be suicide for Republicans in the Senate to even consider it and Pres. Trump would NEVER sign it into law.
