The Green party in Germany said it will ban industrial farming to reduce global warming if it comes to power. The measure was proposed by Katrin Goering-Eckardt, the party’s leader in the Germany parliament, as part of a massive €100 billion project to finance climate initiatives. For several years, climate change doomsayers have turned their attention to cattle, as a series of reports demonstrated that “livestock emissions” are more dangerous for the environment than automobiles.A 2016 article at EcoWatch declared that greenhouse gas emissions from livestock account for a higher percentage of total global emissions than the world’s 1.2 billion automobiles.

Just to show how much this can influence our climate and comfort, all Green members should refrain personally from emitting greenhouse gasses for the rest of the year.

Let the clueless twits continue their campaign. They will starve themselves to death and we will be rid of them.

Without industrial farming, farmers would be unable to afford producing food, the amount of food produced would drop, prices would go up, people would starve. Evidently, all of that is okay in order to combat a problem for which there is zero real evidence. The Greens and socialists have gone so far now that they are impossible to tell apart from parody.

Hey kids we had a great plan for you back in the 40's. You might want to dust off the Morgenthau plan and give it a go. It's really green, including the people as their corpses experience the various stages of decay.

All this time I thought the asteroids or ice age killed the dinosaurs. It must have been the overpopulation of dinosaurs and all the dinosaurs' flatulence that caused a global warming that killed them off. Who knew???
We better start killing those cows off now before its too late..............idiots them all.

110 years ago, the German chemist Fritz Haber working with industrialist Karl Bosch developed a process to produce nitrogen based fertilizers that saved much of the world from starvation. Now the stupid German Green Party has invented a process to produce mass starvation, while reducing CO2 emissions by .0000000000046%. How.... progressive.

For starters, Green Party hypocrites should eat only the
food they themselves grow. No bartering peas for carrots
with other green goofballs. That would be just like buying
food from industrial farmers.
Don’t own any arable land? Rent some and figure out how
to irrigate it. Not too much land though. Just enough to feed
yourself. Too distant from where you work? That’s a problem,
alright, but you geniuses will work it out.
Eventually you rocket scientists will discover why remote African
villagers spend most of their time just trying to feed themselves.

Environmentalism along with abortion/euthanasia are two of the sacraments of the progressive religion. They have a similar goal, the destruction of the unwanted. Mass starvation in the lower and middle class would not bother them. The serfs are little more than farm animals whose breeding needs to be controlled by "our betters." Since the West abandoned Christianity, the morality of acceptable killing is no longer in question. The ends always justify the means.

At what point does a socialist commune become an ''industrial farm?''

To replace the high energy density "fuel" of beef with plants(?) the amount of land under cultivation would have to skyrocket because we would need to eat much more plant material than we are meat. Plus, I suspect that when eating more vegetables, WE will emit more gas.

Aha----one more export market for the American farmer, both in beef dairy products. One way or the other Germans will have their beef.
