US President Donald Trump has caused a splash on Twitter after he tweeted to say he had met the "Prince of Whales".
Mr Trump made the mistake, intending to refer to Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, in response to articles following an ABC news interview.
He said he would listen if a foreign government gave damaging information about a political rival without necessarily reporting it to the FBI.
In the tweet, he accused media reporting the statement of "fake news". (tweet) Mr Trump subsequently deleted his tweet and corrected his error.
Referring to his recent UK state visit, the president initially wrote on Twitter: "I meet and talk to 'foreign governments' every day.

Corpse-man for corpsman. But, the criticism of Trump is appropriate. "Your" forgetting that spellin' and grammar isn't important anymore in the U.S. education system.

I can easily chalk this up to auto-correct. I hate that software feature.

Trump meant what he tweeted. Climate change Prince Charles swims with the 'whales' he's married to one. That spell check can be a tricky thing.

EVERY one of Trump's Twitter "errors" are intentional. It's code.

Before condemning the President for alleged spelling errors, first verify whether Twitter's auto-correction feature did not play a part. I often struggle with my not-so-smart smart phone's inserting the wrong words texts. Otherwise, perhaps this was a case of the President' tweaking HRH Prince Charles for his environmentalist leanings.

I agree that auto-correct is likely the cause for that spelling. However, it's just another thing to make the left happy- another outrage of the day!

If he loses the election it will be said that he lived by the tweet and died by the tweet. At least 90% of the controversies he has stirred have resulted from something he has said. I would venture that otherwise he would be well ahead in the polls. Alas.

On one of President Reagan's birthdays, a member of the press congratulated him for looking so young. Reagan thanked him and attributed his apparent youth to his parents taking the wrong baby home from the hospital. Obviously, any baby taken home from the hospital would have been the same age.
Presidents make jokes, and they make gaffes. This doesn't worry me.

I would venture that President Trump IS well ahead in the polls. It just isn’t reported, for obvious reasons.

After the ridiculous lecture he had to endure from the wooden top Prince on globull warming, I have no doubt that this is how so many people see him anyway. The Prince was a terrible host that day, and really missed the boat. He could have talked about his favorite subject of architecture and had a grand time with Trump. But he had to give in to his global leftist sensibilities. Prince of Whales is about right. That one needs to stick.

Good grief, the hate and revenge leftists have for President Trump knows no bounds! Prince Charles is a known environmentalist, an eco-warrior so, in a sense, it is not inappropriate to suggest that Prince Charles is a prince of whales. Liberals/leftists have no sense of humor.

If you could call them controversies, #14. They're controversies only in the minds of the juvenile press corpse (yes, I meant to do that). Spelling and grammatical errors are legion nowadays in the product of professional "journalists."
I can't help but wonder if Trump does it deliberately. While his opponents and the media (but I repeat myself) are gnashing their teeth and wringing their hands over meaningless BS, Trump is busy over there implementing his agenda.
