Great Lakes Reveal a Fatal
Flaw in Climate Change ‘Science’

Lake Erie and Lake Superior — two of the five that make up the Great Lakes — broke records for water levels this May. Lakes Michigan and Huron could follow suit. Naturally, climate change is getting the blame. “We are undoubtedly observing the effects of a warming climate in the Great Lakes,” says Richard Rood, a University of Michigan climate scientist. But just a few years ago, climate scientists were insisting that a warming climate would cause water levels to decline. In 2008, Science Daily reported on a study that attributed the decline in Great Lakes water levels to global warming.

We boat on the Great Lakes, the levels right now are the highest we've seen, 5 years ago they were the lowest we've seen. This ebb and flow has remained constant for as long as I can remember. I don't think it has a thing to do with "climate change" but it does have to do with the weather. When it rains the lake levels rise, when it doesn't, they lower... Go figure. Ha!

The climate Alarmists have missed their window to grab the narrative and get what they are really after, global control, power, and money. The chance they had was to force panic and unthinking action. The longer we look at their "theory" the worse it holds up. This article is only one data point but it repeats a pattern. When they started, the Alarmists took a snapshot at the time and proposed that changes would happen extending "problems", i.e. weather events, that were happening at the time. They claimed their "theory" models confirmed it. The problem is, the weather, as it is guaranteed to do, changed. Droughts turned into floods. Hot turned into cold. Little snow turned into lots of snow. And every time, the Alarmists had to pivot and claim that their "theory" covered the new weather as well. But the longer this goes on the more Alarmists have to claim that "Climate Change" causes ALL TYPES of weather. If so, what is the predictable trend? When weather proceeds in every direction, how can you know how it will end up in 100 years? How do you really know what is driving it? TIme is the enemy of climate change theory. It's already well past its sell by date.

I love it when God shows them who's in charge by having a freak snow storm during a global warming conference. If fact that is one of the reasons they changed the narrative to climate change. The ones pushing the narrative know exactly what they are trying to do globally, but the useful idiots who follow along don't realize that the climate has been constantly changing since the flood, which resulted in an incredible ice build up.

Non-scientist or rather anti-science types have only a minimal clue that all measurements have intrinsic and inescapable variability whether beccause the measurement tool is itself slightly imprecise or the thing being measured has its own moment to moment or year to year ups and downs. We are taller in the morning - heart rates and blood pressure vary from minute to minute. We have dry years and wet years and while we think we have some clue as to why (El Nino vs La Nina ocean temps) the truth is our understanding is still a science in infancy and NO ONE truthfully knows why some years are El Nino and others aren't. No honest scientist believes that climate predictions are anything more than yet unproven hypotheses. Now for the sake of employment and academic funding some will with fingers crossed pretend they know why - but sadly others are enmeshed in political arguments using science as a pawn.

Lived on the beach in Rochester NY for a few years. As anyone who sees the lake every waking moment knows (a) lake level rises and falls (b) the rate of this rise and falls also varies - you can detect this by sight and comparing to major dates such as Memorial Day, 4th July etc.

FTA "Climate scientists can blame anything they want on global warming. The climate models are imprecise enough that no matter what is happening they can point to it as proof that man-made climate change is happening. Too much rain, too little rain, bitterly cold winters, mild winters, more snow, less snow, rising water levels, falling water levels — they can attribute “climate change” as a cause of it all." Exactly! The water level of the Great Lakes like our climate are not static, never have been never will be! There is climate change but man has absolutely no demonstrable effect on it. This is the biggest scam since the 1970's global cooling scam!

There is an old web site where somebody started collecting stories about all the predictions and such related to globull warming. The list is very extensive, and you can see where globull warming / climate change is listed as responsible for contradictory events, such as making the sea both more and less saline at the same time. It apparently has not been updated for some time. There is a note towards the bottom of the page where the original site creator admits that he is overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the fake news stories that are available.

The Great Lakes' mere existence refutes Globaloney Science. There was a massive Ice Age at one time in North America then, without a single human occupied city being in existence yet, the ice began to melt. An ice dam that had built-up over thousands of years was over 200 feet high, and when it gave way, a torrent of water flowed from Indiana to Oregon. Ripples in the land can be seen from the air stretching over North Dakota and Montana. Boulders as big as small houses originating from the Midwest can be found along the coast of Washington. If scientists can figure out what happened then they could solve a real riddle that could predict our future... but today the crap they pass off as "science" can't even predict the noonday temperature in Tierra del Fuego tomorrow.

Yup just one more data point. We need to keep a running list, trotting them out one at a time doesn't do much. It's the pattern that tells the story as well as the pattern of behavior on the part of the eco-fascists who don't behave consistent with the beliefs which they are selling.

The trouble with many believers is that they accept the results generated from models. Anyone familiar with statistics and models is aware that a desired result can be easily obtained. Manipulation of statistics is nothing new, and has been going on since recorded history began. People who want to believe in climate change will believe the fraudsters, without questioning their motives.

Indeed, #2, #3, and #4. There is more truth to the global control (new world order) idea than most people realize. The many articles listed that cite scientists in contradiction to each other prove that these people are talking through their sphincters and are attempting to shock us into giving them more grant money. The lakes were getting lower but the ocean was rising. Now, horrors, the lakes are rising again. The Antarctic ice is melting but a research vessel became embedded in the ice for an entire season. These predictions are further proof that the more one lies the harder it is to keep the lies consistent and believable. It's even harder when the temperature keeps going up and down - like it has been for centuries. Admit it climate scientists, you chose the wrong field and now must resort to trickery to make a living.

OP and #7, great article --- but don't be too quick in equating politically manipulated, Lysenko-level pseudoscience with "Faith" or "Religion." Real religion, like real science, begins with an honest reporting, called in religious literature "testimony": 1 John 1:1-3 What was from the beginning, What we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked upon and touched with our hands... We now proclaim to you..." Observation and the honest observer. What conforms diligently to this, is the basis of both Science and Religion, both of which have the same Author and both of which need an intelligent witness. What does not conform this is ideology, superstition, charlatanry--- current exhibit, Global Climate Crisis.

America’s tech giants have most certainly engaged in abusive practices. Demands that Washington break them up seem to grow by the day. Many of them are from brilliant people we respect and almost always agree with. That doesn’t make them right, though. Google, Facebook, Amazon, and others have just become too powerful, says the narrative. And it’s not just the political right, which is justified in being upset at Big Tech’s efforts to marginalize and silence it, that wants to use the nearly limitless power of the federal government to tame private businesses.

President Donald Trump’s latest win — using threats of escalating tariffs to stop the nation of Mexico from doubling as an express lane for illegal immigrants — takes me back to a political coup I participated in as a PR consultant in Austria. My client was the Alpine Republic’s environment minister, an up-and-coming member of the People’s (Conservative) Party, then junior partner to the Social Democrats in a grand coalition. The minister was in full-blown crisis when her implementation of a recycling mandate — requiring the separation of a stunning range of waste categories — produced overflowing bins in major cities.
