Interesting, albeit not surprising, report from the New York Times after they are debriefed by a group of U.S. tech industry executives about a compliance meeting in China.
The Beijing regime of Chairman Xi Jinping summoned leaders from the top of U.S. tech industry companies and informed them of consequences for complying with U.S. laws that relate to black-listed Chinese industry; ie. Hauwei. It will be interesting to see how this dynamic plays out.
Beijing is counting on the far-left anti-American ideology within Silicon Valley to create a communist economic alliance on U.S. soil that will work against the interests of the American people.

Well, techies, if you hate Trump, you have to do what China says. Sorry.

I can definitely see you Silicon Valley siding with China since they're all authoritarians want to control us.

The "tech leaders" better be VERY careful. They may find their companies chopped up under anti monopoly or other laws if they are not. If they act against US interests they may find far, far worse.

Can you say boycott, boys and girls? I thought you could.
The US tech companies have been siding with China for years by moving jobs overseas. Have many people have lost jobs? There are many people out there that do not view US tech companies favorably because of this. If our government moves against US tech companies breaking up monopolies and whatnot, there will be no backlash.
Go ahead and side with China. It will cost you bigtime.

Summoned by China to a "compliance meeting"? Perhaps they should be informed that they will have their passport revoked if they go to this meeting.

#1, there was never any actual change in China, only a mask, and stupid Americans cooperating.
They have always been the People's Republic of China, a brutal, Communist dictatorship.
China is the enemy. They have always been the enemy.

To Tech Exec's - Remember what Michael Corleone said to his brother Fredo. Don't ever take sides against the family again - ever.

Jinping is a bully just like any Communist politician. We have to be very, very wary of the influence that these bullies are having on Silicon Valley and the eager beavers within it who put money before anything else. These individuals see dollar signs owing to China's vast population and are willing to put their own country second.

You Tech 'Leaders' had better decide whether you're US companies or Chinese companies.

Might have worked if they hadn't thrown in against American citizens and started suppressing free speech of those they don't like. So I hope that DC drops a bunker buster on their heads if they make one single attempt to circumvent the Law.They aren't subject to Chinese law at the moment, but they are to American. Gonna be a hard fought battle, the Law and America, or fear of losing Chinese dollars.

This is a no-brainer. Those commies in silicon valley will fall right in line with China's dictates, faster than ice can melt in 900 degrees.
