The decision to move Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman who was sentenced earlier this year to nearly seven years in prison in connection with two federal cases, from the decent federal prison to which he was sentenced to solitary confinement to the dangerous hell hole that is New York City’s Rikers Island seems abusive and possibly illegal.

How the good professor can call Vance jr. a decent man and then go on to explain why doing what Vance jr. is doing to Manafort is indefensible, to me, is indefensible.

He's there for punishment, not as punishment.

The Deep State thugs are terrified of Barr and desperate to try to flail about doing ANTHING
that they possibly can to try to distract from their huge criminal enterprise, leading back upstream
directly to Hellary and The Zero.

I expect the next move will be to that WV prison where Whitey Bulger assumed room temperature a couple hours after he arrived.

I'm frightened at how vicious democrats have become in their zeal to destroy Trump and his family.

I think Trump should pardon Manafort immediately. I don't think he should stand by and allow this man to suffer because he won't give up The President! Pardon him, then let the chips fall where they may. Keep Manafort out of Rikers Island. He might be a Scum Bag, but he doesn't deserve to go there!

No revelations here from the Dershster, everyone already knows what's going on. Putting his name on this piece doesn't make a fact truer.

#1, Dershowitz is on our side on this one. Who cares if he says Vance is a good man as long as he is criticizing what he is doing? I agree that Trump should pardon Manafort now. He would still face liability in New York but at least could get out on bail pending trial.

I'll take this one step further and on a slight tangent. They are squeezing him to inspire him to compose, of course. In this case that composition is politically motivated. Right now at this very moment some overmatched person is being squeezed just as hard even harder by trained professionals, for some prosecutor to earn his or her bones. The entire system is completely messed up, false confessions are purchased all the time, false accusations are purchased all the time. When it happens to common people, to the downtrodden who the hoi polloi pretend to care so much about, nobody notices or gives a crap.
When we accept huge flaws in the justice system because they don't affect us we shouldn't act all shocked and indignant when suddenly it does matter to us.

Because he worked a couple months on Trumps campaign and they want him to be severely injured or killed in Rikers. They want him to be Bubbahs girlfriend. They are imposing maximum punishment on him at all costs.

I know by the sound of the phrase, 'the hoi polloi' was mistakenly attributed to the elites by most people, but in fact, it refers to the masses, and usually used contemptuously. Who knew?!

The article demonstrates a case of the NY version of THUGS ARE US!! Since Vance, Jr. approved of this transfer of Manafort to Rikers' hellhole, he is now a bone fide member of the top echelon. Decent definitely does NOT describe Vance, Jr. I'm imploring all the powers that be, who're privileged to be close to Trump, in his inner circle, to plead Manafort's case, and have him pardoned BEFORE he dies suddenly of an "unexplained cause." To do nothing in the face of such EVIL, is to be complicit with that potentially heinous injustice. Manafort is neither a mafia gang member, drug kingpin, or murderous thug. There should be a HUGE outcry!! Silence is not an option!!! Prayers continue........

#4 touched on the truth, but didn't go all the way. Yes, they want him "Whitey Bulgerized" (and the same people in the DOJ / FBI / Mueller Special Prosecutor Team involved in both cases... Before Trump might pardon him and he be able to tell his story to the public...
But it is also , as the French term puts it: "pour encourager les autres"... To (continue to) intimidate other people who work / worked with Trump to come forward in the House 'star chambers' and testify against Trump.... Why do yo think that yesterday Hope Hicks changed from defying Schiff and Nadler etc. to going to testify ?

Could they still be trying to bait Pres. Trump into pardoning, so they can once again cry "Obstruction!"?
Poor Manafort. Serial killers don't get such treatment. His lawyers must stink.
