I don’t think it is a coincidence that just as President Trump is in the UK we suddenly learn that “dossier” author Christopher Steele has agreed to be questioned by US authorities. (snip) I have all along believed that part of President Trump’s mission in the UK was winning over British support for fully outing the role of its intelligence services in the Russia Hoax. He would have to guarantee that the overall relationship would remain sound even if highly embarrassing facts come to light.

I am really tired of hearing about who is going to do this and this is going to happen. It is past time to give the American people their pound of flesh. We deserve closure on the destruction of our American way of life. And those that would destroy our country deserve execution.

I'm torn between skepticism and the question; if the real culprits Hillary, Obama and so on, are ever to be held accountable what would that look like? To pass off steps that are consistent with how real justice would come down wouldn't be right but nor is blind faith.

He's only discussing 'interactions with the FBI' according to Lifson---that's not going to cut it, Arvinder...!

I guess I am getting a bit tired and fatigued about the "this is really going to do it to the treasonous culprits this time", and nothing seems to be happening.

FTA: ''He's only discussing 'interactions with the FBI' according to Lifson-''
We shall see. Saying and doing are two different things. He can still be threatened with extradition and prosecution if the trail leads investigators to that necessity. I would bet that, if he was going to spill the beans about Hillary and Obama, that he would never announce that. As it is, I would go into seclusion until after I was interviewed/testified. There are some very high-level, rich people with the means to see that he is no longer available!

Thank you, OP, for posting this particular article because it allowed me to drop focus of all the filth and dirt brought to us by Clinton's use of Steele (who is not innocent by any means). I clicked on the cropped photo and got to enjoy the entire Fox News video of the State Dinner and the toasts of the evening. I had forgotten until she was pictured standing beside President Trump, how tiny is the Queen in height but how mighty she is in dignity.

We've got the right guy on the job, AG Barr. I fear he is starting too late and has so much inertia/corruption to overcome. There are encouraging signs.

This could turn out to be, as Alfred Hitchcock called it, the McGuffin that breaks the entire coup attempt, along with Hillary's involvement, wide open. Trump probably negotiated some deal with the Brits that would get Steele extradited if he refused to comply.
Trump: Brilliant!

This ordeal was widespread. The President understood this and many of his obstruction charges are based on him not cooperating in what he knew to be fabrication. You are not required to help anyone wishing to prefer false charges.
The one thing he did was let the investigation move to its completion without, despite our clamor, interfering or making what would be considered an arbitrary stop to it. By letting it go to fruition with no evidence, the President has clean hands.
Now there needs to be an investigation, which has begun. This will be handled meticulously and the results will be without reproach. Only then can punishments be handed out
This case was so large and of such importance that, while we "know" who is guilty, each little piece has to be assembled carefully and completely.
Patience. The right man is on the job because he fights.

The Queen doesn't have a lot of power, but she has access and influence.
Steele didn't stand a chance.
She, the Queen, is beholden to The Donald for not having come up with any pictures of Prince Andrew dining at any of his clubs with 12 year old girls or little boys. Maybe there aren't any, but Epstein certainly did show up in similar pictures at Donald's club in Florida!
Count the Donald as one of America's still secret under cover intelligence assets ~ not exactly a "007" but honest and forthright, and willing to bend for valuable long standing national relationships.
A note on the charges Weissman laid on him for "obstruction", the Donald knew in every single case what the truth was, even if Weissman and Mueller didn't, and he had absolutely NO legal obligation to participate in lies and unlawful practices just because Weissman and Mueller wanted him to.
Good show. He had good lawyers.

"A source close to Steele told the newspaper he plans to meet with American authorities within the next several weeks, but only about his interactions with the FBI and only with the approval of the British government." That is a pretty big qualification. The most important information is not his interactions with the FBI, but his interactions with Hillary Clinton's campaign, Hillary's other minions, and the various deep state operatives before selling it to the FBI.

Also "he plans to meet with American authorities" is pretty damned vague. Who are these "American authorities"? Is he talking about Justice Department investigators acting under Attorney General Barr or Democrat Congressional investigators helping the Democrats keep the bodies buried?

The liberal press grasped at any thin reed to continue the false narrative that the Trump family and a range of campaign associates were headed to prison. Our side should restrain the cheering until indictments are issued. I believe Barr will nail Steel and others, but I am not going to get excited over stories that rely on speculation.

It is interesting to me to note that these secretive arrangements usually are entered into with the understanding that the parties will honor their commitment not to finger the others if things go south. There is usually a penalty involved...and the price for silence is a high dollar amount. The promise for spilling the beans is steeper than needs to be discussed. They simply rely on the honor of the parties not to divulge and to keep the secret--or else. Permit me, but what honor are they thinking of? They pledge to keep the secret--and swear by their everlasting maker to keep that secret. The everlasting maker has no part in this type of behavior. They deal in lies, murder, intrigue and corruption and when it unravels, their souls are lost. Shame on all of these people. I hope this guy turns against them and they all go to jail. We need no more corruption in our beleaguered world. We need truth!

I would finger Obama before I fingered Hillary but there isn't enough soap in the world.
Locking up high level people like them is unprecedented but so is treason and sedition in America. The wheels of Justice are extremely slow but it will be worth the wait.

I agree with all of the post but ever since President Trump called it treason and stated they need to be severely punished I put my trust in his word. I still don't see how they will be able to bring Obama down. There is no way the evidence will convince half the country he's guilty and to proceed against such a large section of the country is risky. The segment of society that would be the most upset by it are the ones least able to control their impulses.

There are recent media reports that the British intelligence Service told the CIA/FBI a couple of years ago that the Steele “dossier” was completely bogus.
There are also media reports that years ago Donald Trump banned Jeffery Epstein from Mar Largo after determining that Epstein was bringing underage girls into the resort.
