"I am not the first President to take up this cause, but I am determined to be the last.”
That was how then-President Barack Obama pitched Obamacare to a joint session of Congress on Sept. 9, 2009. He described a health care system in crisis and promised that his reforms would “provide more security and stability to those who have health insurance. It will provide insurance for those who don’t. And it will slow the growth of health care costs for our families, our businesses, and our government.”
Nearly a decade after having his vision realized, how have his promises worked out?

Barry made up the part about improved health care for all. His goal was control and creation of a larger parasite class that would vote democrat forever. Treasury money was to him like water is to the rest of us, free and easily wasted. I sympathized with the working middle class people who were spending outrageous sums on zerocare and getting nothing in return but I managed to avoid giving the system a dime.

Health care is worse for all of us even those who have supplemental insurance. The doctors work for the hospitals who make deals with the insurance companies who determine who gets what kind of care and when. Meanwhile, Congress kept the best medical care in the world for themselves. They do not have to use Obamacare; never did. They want control over everything especially your health care and the climate and your money. They are hooked on OPM and power. It's a deadly combination.

I find myself spending my hard earned money on healthcare insurance instead of healthcare. Thank, Barry. This is all your fault.

Destruction and waste was the whole purpose of Barry’s time
with feet parked on the Resolute Desk. Cash for Clunkers,
Solyndra, Obamacare, nonstop vacations for Mooch and
entourage, war, open borders, Fast and Furious, ad infinitum.
I cannot think of a single positive thing the Kenyan bastage did
for America. Not one.

In order to get Obamacare, you had to be employed. If a person became unemployed because of circumstances, Obamacare was off limits. What kind of healthcare is that?

Like virtually ALL THINGS the government interferes with, Nobamacare has been a major disaster.
WE KNEW it would be, but in the effort to "hep" people, there were many 'unintended consequences'.... but on the contrary, this was really only a short stop on the way to TOTAL control of healthcare by the government to TAKE $$$ from those who have money INDEPENDENT of the government.
For those who had health insurance, it meant taking more from them while others who had no insurance got something. It also meant that employers CUT EMPLOYEES by ELIMINATING full-time jobs and cutting back hours of millions of people.
In effect, people had to pay MORE with less hours to make the money, or take extra work to make up the 10 hours of salary they no longer had. For those whose job hours were not cut back, it meant MUCH MORE collected from them in so-called 'out-of-pocket' expenses and having to pay MORE for the SAME or lesser coverage before it kicked in to pay expenses.
It cause not a ripple effect but a WAVE of people no longer being able to afford what they had, and instead of getting $2500 back on average as was promised, it cost two to three times MORE, so a pay check's actual purchasing power was hurt to support SOCIALISM, the intended result.
The government which governs LEAST governs BEST, but when the demonrat socialists and RINOcrats don't serve the interests of the citizens by ALLOWING the INVASION as the border, it means MORE socialism and economic ruin.
The citizenry needs to become ACTIVE and involved or things are going to get MUCH, MUCH WORSE due to no disagreement with what DC is doing to U.S.

When I have to pay for the consequences of your choices I am inclined to interject myself in the process of making those decisions. Nothing cries for control like government healthcare. They really can take your T bone steak away from you while encouraging drug abuse with the next breath, free needles etc.
The biggest mistake we can make regarding healthcare is to presume that undoing Obamasnare is all that it needed. Government and the AMA lobby destroyed the free market virtually guaranteeing a cry for a government solution. Insurance has become a private form of socialism with similar results.
This was a complete transformational shift from our unique constitutional protection of inalienable negative rights to a positive right. As soon as we accept that notion we are completely done. What do they have on Roberts. They have been spying a long time.

I watched a c span sub committee house meeting to discuss 'surprise'
medical bills after surgery. I'm certain that those who were complaining, republicans and democrats, had purchased the bronze level of obolacare, with a 6000 dollar deductible for each member of the family. But I didn't hear them say that.
Damned fools, the lot of them.

That should be thanks to Obama and the late vulgarian John McCain. It was his vote that prevented us from getting back some semblance of control over our healthcare costs. But hey, he had his gold star cadillac coverage thanks to his senate career. Earlier poster is also right. This is all about control of a huge chunk of the national budget, not about healthcare. Otherwise millions would be covered, and able to actually afford that coverage.
