William Barr Is Washington’s Worst Nightmare

Original Article

If you are bewildered by the weird antipathy with which Democrats and the media regard Attorney General William Barr, consider a passage from the Nobel Prize acceptance speech delivered by Polish dissident Czesław Miłosz in 1980: “In a room where people unanimously maintain a conspiracy of silence, one word of truth sounds like a pistol shot.” Our government hasn’t yet devolved into the kind of totalitarian regime under which Poland groaned at that time, but there is a conspiracy of silence surrounding the skullduggery that led to the Russia collusion fraud, and Barr fired that metaphorical pistol on April 10, 2019.

One can always hope that Barr is corrupt Washington's worst nightmare. This is yet to be seen. Except for several leaving their government jobs nothing has happened on the surface. Nobody except those that were spied upon have been fined or gone to jail. Meanwhile Brennan and Clapper have their pulpits in the media to attack anything they see as a threat to themselves and their fellow travelers. I'll bet Brennan and Clapper still have their security clearances and regularly access their sources in the government.

I see it as a very, very serious and outrageous move on the part of Mr. Trump, once again, trampling on the statutory authorities of the Director of National Intelligence and the heads of the independent intelligence agencies. Seriously? Trump? And the writer has no problems with Comey's overstepping his statutory authority by exonerating Hillary Clinton after listing all her crimes? He had no authority to do that. Where is Mr. Catron’s outrage? It looks misplaced to these eyes.

FTA: “There are few things that scare the denizens of D.C. more than an honest man. The only thing they fear more is an honest man who doesn’t give a damn what they think of him. William Barr is their worst nightmare.” I certainly hope and pray this to be truth because the Republic is hanging by a raveling thread and the democrats, some Republicans, most in the media, entertainment industry and academia are doing their best to deny any wrongdoing and stifle any investigation into what has been a full frontal attack on this President and his administration because he had the audacity to win an election they had rigged in favor of his opponent. Then, when that was unsuccessful, they have been engaged in a coup d'etat to remove a duly elected President. The criminal corruption that has already been exposed must be prosecuted and the seditionists know that AG Barr is their worst nightmare. This may be the hardest test the Republic has had to face since its founding which is can we hold everyone to the same legal standard regardless of their status or will we balk at applying equal justice under the law. God help us if we get this wrong. God speed, AG Barr. The Republic is in your hands.

Okay, let's just say Barr, "discovers" the coup and releases his findings and all facts, statements, etc regarding the illegal coup to remove a duly elected president and the illegal actions of utterly and totally destroying innocent people's lives in the process. So what? What has happened in the past to these deep state criminals, ALL of these same deep state criminals? Rewards and promotions for them and at best, innocent people's lives ruined with the hopes that one day a duly elected president might pardon the ones who were forced into process crimes (and they still will never be made whole. Just ask Scooter.) Nope, the only thing Barr will accomplish is two more years of pillow and sheet sales by four talk radio hosts and that's about it. Sorry, my turnip truck wounds healed decades ago.

The "System" will not overtly punish its own. I think as a long time insider, AG Barr knows this fully well. There will be scapegoats. Strzok, McCabe, the Ohr couple come to mind. But these are small potatoes. In my view Comey, Brennan and Clapper as well as Rice and Lynch will escape imprisonment. But we are on uncharted territory, so who knows. The big enchiladas Hillary, Hussein and Jarrett will go scot free. The real punishment is to be inflicted by the people. This will come in form keeping these people away from power. That is up to us the people. And our memories are notoriously short and faulty. Re-elect trump and give him back the House. That is the best we can do. Don't hanker for anything else, you will be disappointed.

This is a pivotal point in American history. Our country is under attack from several directions: Foreign enemies; illegal immigrant invasion; and deep state traitors. It is a time when great men emerge to change the course of history. I believe that President Donald J. Trump is such a man. Another such man may be AG Barr. We shall see.

My concern is that the first time someone does something outrageous, there is often no law in place to punish them appropriately. It wasn't envisioned that someone would actually DO that. However, the FISA head judge has stated that 85% of the queries from 2012 to 2016 were ILLEGAL. That seems pretty clear. They have been referred for investigation and prosecution. Someone initiated these queries that were mostly against BO's political opponents. Even if it was a contractor that actually did it, someone was supervising them. They didn't do this on a whim and there is NO good reason that justifies it. This seems like a solid piece of meat that Barr can sink his teeth into. Barr has also mentioned senior leadership so it looks like it's it's not just the worker bees that are in trouble. We suspect a lot and have good evidence to support our suspicions. But do those suspicions lead to crimes? Can the criminals be fully identified? We will have to see how it plays out. The tone of the reports soonest to come will tell us a lot but Durham will have a lot to say even if the IG doesn't.

Donald Trump (and at the time, Jeff Sessions) has known since before his inauguration (most likely way before) that Obama/Clinton people were engaged in a criminal conspiracy to prevent/derail his candidacy/presidency. Let that sink in. Is it possible that Donald Trump has, for 3 years now, been planning to let them get away with it? Likelihood of that: 0%.

On Sunday, CNN held town hall specials with a trio of presidential candidates -- Seth Moulton, Eric Swalwell and Tim Ryan. We watched it so you wouldn't have to. All three of them are Democratic members of Congress. None is in danger of becoming president anytime soon. So why do we pay attention to what they say? Well, because as they stammer and sweat and pander profusely, they give us a good idea of what the Democratic primary voters believe and what they care about. And of course, the thing they care about most -- a thing they can’t stop talking about ever – is race.

If you know the history of the 19th Amendment, you will notice a peculiar omission from the statements issued by various Democrats celebrating the 100th anniversary of its passage by Congress. Elizabeth Warren, for example, tweeted: “People always say that big change is impossible. That’s what they told the suffragettes (Snip) What Warren conveniently forgets is that the people who said it was “impossible” were Democrats. Her party blocked passage of the amendment from 1878, when it was introduced by the Republicans, until the latter won such huge majorities in the 1918 midterms that the Democrats were no longer able to deny women justice.

Attorney General William Barr’s nearly hour-long interview with CBS News’ Jan Crawford last week was full of fascinating details about the special counsel probe, the debunked Russia collusion theory that roiled Washington for years, and Barr’s investigation into how the FBI and Department of Justice used the “bogus” theory to investigate the Trump campaign. The interview was downplayed by the media, which is implicated in perpetuating the Russia hoax Barr is investigating, and which came in for criticism from Barr for its failure to care about violations of civil liberties. Here are the top 28 take-aways from the interview.

William Barr's interview Thursday with Jan Crawford is filled with fascinating details and surprisingly candid responses, but most interesting of all may be that he undertook this dialogue not with friendlies at Fox or the Wall Street Journal but with CBS — the very beating heart of the mainstream media from well before the days of the Dan Rather embarrassment. The network is the sine qua nonof Deep State establishmentarianism. You would think they would crucify him, but Barr is fearless — and justifiably so. He knows he is telling the truth and that, as the saying goes, will set you free.

The statement by special counsel Robert Mueller in a Wednesday press conference that “if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime we would have said that” is worse than the statement made by then FBI Director James Comey regarding Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. Comey declared in a July 2016 press conference that “although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive highly classified information.”

In a prior column, I addressed the public debate over Bill Barr’s authority to declassify intelligence regarding the Obama administration’s Trump-Russia investigation. Lurking behind this debate, we should understand, is that administration’s handling of the Steele dossier: a compilation of faux intelligence reports. The dossier was, of course, generated by the Fusion GPS firm — principally, by British spy–turned–hack-for-hire Christopher Steele and journalist-turned-fabulist Glenn Simpson. The dossier is a slipshod, unverified opposition-research screed, sponsored by the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Its sensational allegations of a Trump-Putin conspiracy to undermine the 2016 election (including by hacking and disseminating Democratic

Robert Mueller’s Wednesday morning press conference provided more evidence that President Trump has been right about him all along. After asserting that his final report to the attorney general on Russian interference in the 2016 election “speaks for itself,” and that nothing he or the special counsel’s office would say in future would go beyond that report, he deliberately threw additional fuel on the “obstruction of justice” dumpster fire. Knowing full well that he was providing the headline-of-the-day for the anti-Trump “news” media and a fresh talking point for the impeachment zealots in the House, he said: As set forth

When Nancy Pelosi decided to appease the impeachment hawks in her caucus by accusing President Trump of engaging in a cover-up, the media responded with undisguised glee. The New York Times, for example, ran a story that essentially congratulated the House Speaker for publicly goading the man. Trump responded by giving them transparency good and hard. He not only instructed the various intelligence agencies to assist Attorney General William Barr with his inquiry into the inception of the Russia investigation, but gave Barr authority to declassify related intelligence material. Oddly, the media have suddenly lost their enthusiasm for transparency.
