William Barr Is Washington’s Worst Nightmare

Original Article

If you are bewildered by the weird antipathy with which Democrats and the media regard Attorney General William Barr, consider a passage from the Nobel Prize acceptance speech delivered by Polish dissident Czesław Miłosz in 1980: “In a room where people unanimously maintain a conspiracy of silence, one word of truth sounds like a pistol shot.” Our government hasn’t yet devolved into the kind of totalitarian regime under which Poland groaned at that time, but there is a conspiracy of silence surrounding the skullduggery that led to the Russia collusion fraud, and Barr fired that metaphorical pistol on April 10, 2019.

One can always hope that Barr is corrupt Washington's worst nightmare. This is yet to be seen. Except for several leaving their government jobs nothing has happened on the surface. Nobody except those that were spied upon have been fined or gone to jail. Meanwhile Brennan and Clapper have their pulpits in the media to attack anything they see as a threat to themselves and their fellow travelers. I'll bet Brennan and Clapper still have their security clearances and regularly access their sources in the government.

I see it as a very, very serious and outrageous move on the part of Mr. Trump, once again, trampling on the statutory authorities of the Director of National Intelligence and the heads of the independent intelligence agencies. Seriously? Trump? And the writer has no problems with Comey's overstepping his statutory authority by exonerating Hillary Clinton after listing all her crimes? He had no authority to do that. Where is Mr. Catron’s outrage? It looks misplaced to these eyes.

FTA: “There are few things that scare the denizens of D.C. more than an honest man. The only thing they fear more is an honest man who doesn’t give a damn what they think of him. William Barr is their worst nightmare.” I certainly hope and pray this to be truth because the Republic is hanging by a raveling thread and the democrats, some Republicans, most in the media, entertainment industry and academia are doing their best to deny any wrongdoing and stifle any investigation into what has been a full frontal attack on this President and his administration because he had the audacity to win an election they had rigged in favor of his opponent. Then, when that was unsuccessful, they have been engaged in a coup d'etat to remove a duly elected President. The criminal corruption that has already been exposed must be prosecuted and the seditionists know that AG Barr is their worst nightmare. This may be the hardest test the Republic has had to face since its founding which is can we hold everyone to the same legal standard regardless of their status or will we balk at applying equal justice under the law. God help us if we get this wrong. God speed, AG Barr. The Republic is in your hands.

Okay, let's just say Barr, "discovers" the coup and releases his findings and all facts, statements, etc regarding the illegal coup to remove a duly elected president and the illegal actions of utterly and totally destroying innocent people's lives in the process. So what? What has happened in the past to these deep state criminals, ALL of these same deep state criminals? Rewards and promotions for them and at best, innocent people's lives ruined with the hopes that one day a duly elected president might pardon the ones who were forced into process crimes (and they still will never be made whole. Just ask Scooter.) Nope, the only thing Barr will accomplish is two more years of pillow and sheet sales by four talk radio hosts and that's about it. Sorry, my turnip truck wounds healed decades ago.

The "System" will not overtly punish its own. I think as a long time insider, AG Barr knows this fully well. There will be scapegoats. Strzok, McCabe, the Ohr couple come to mind. But these are small potatoes. In my view Comey, Brennan and Clapper as well as Rice and Lynch will escape imprisonment. But we are on uncharted territory, so who knows. The big enchiladas Hillary, Hussein and Jarrett will go scot free. The real punishment is to be inflicted by the people. This will come in form keeping these people away from power. That is up to us the people. And our memories are notoriously short and faulty. Re-elect trump and give him back the House. That is the best we can do. Don't hanker for anything else, you will be disappointed.

This is a pivotal point in American history. Our country is under attack from several directions: Foreign enemies; illegal immigrant invasion; and deep state traitors. It is a time when great men emerge to change the course of history. I believe that President Donald J. Trump is such a man. Another such man may be AG Barr. We shall see.

My concern is that the first time someone does something outrageous, there is often no law in place to punish them appropriately. It wasn't envisioned that someone would actually DO that. However, the FISA head judge has stated that 85% of the queries from 2012 to 2016 were ILLEGAL. That seems pretty clear. They have been referred for investigation and prosecution. Someone initiated these queries that were mostly against BO's political opponents. Even if it was a contractor that actually did it, someone was supervising them. They didn't do this on a whim and there is NO good reason that justifies it. This seems like a solid piece of meat that Barr can sink his teeth into. Barr has also mentioned senior leadership so it looks like it's it's not just the worker bees that are in trouble. We suspect a lot and have good evidence to support our suspicions. But do those suspicions lead to crimes? Can the criminals be fully identified? We will have to see how it plays out. The tone of the reports soonest to come will tell us a lot but Durham will have a lot to say even if the IG doesn't.

Donald Trump (and at the time, Jeff Sessions) has known since before his inauguration (most likely way before) that Obama/Clinton people were engaged in a criminal conspiracy to prevent/derail his candidacy/presidency. Let that sink in. Is it possible that Donald Trump has, for 3 years now, been planning to let them get away with it? Likelihood of that: 0%.

I am keenly aware of how fortunate I was to be born the son of one of the wealthiest and most well known businessmen in America. I am also the first to admit that things are different when you grow up as a Trump. Anyone who has paid attention to the news, especially since my father announced his run for the White House, knows the media has attacked every member of my family viciously and given us anything but kind treatment. The adult “children” in our family are certainly not off limits. We did after all fight alongside our father in his quest to win the presidency.

It is hard not to feel some sympathy for Joe Biden, up to a point. He is said by almost everyone who knows him to be personally likeable. As a simple member of the public, I have never forgiven him for his treatment, as Senate Judiciary Committee chairman, of President Reagan’s nominee for the Supreme Court in 1987, Robert Bork. Biden implicitly endorsed Senator Edward Kennedy’s statement on the Senate floor that “Robert Bork’s America is a land where women are forced into back-alley abortions,” a land of segregation, lawless rogue police, government censorship

If you’ve ever had your picture taken with President Donald Trump, anyone named Trump, or walked past a Trump property, there’s a better than even chance House Democrats will demand answers and documents from you in the coming weeks. They’re only missing any evidence to justify the foregone conclusion they’re gearing everything toward.

I want to talk about the importance of words and the context they create. And I want to urge everybody who's fair to never use the word "impeachment" for the current political process, because it has nothing to do with an impeachment.his is a legislative coup d'etat. It is an effort by the hard left, the news media, and the deep state to destroy the president chosen by the American people. This is a project they've been involved in since election night 2016. Why do otherwise smart people say that impeachment has nothing to do with crimes but is rather a brute political calculation? As one example out of many, Kimberley Strassel of the Wall Street Journal said Wednesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that Congress “could impeach the president for laughing the wrong way. They can impeach for anything they want.”Well, actually, no they can’t. Not unless they pass a law first that says “laughing the wrong way” is either a high crime or a misdemeanor. Assuming that “high” is not an early constitutional reference to cannabis, then laughing is unlikely to be a crime of any sort, yet our pesky Constitution

Mitch McConnell told NPR last Friday that, if the House impeaches President Trump, “the Senate immediately goes into a trial.” This is music to Democratic ears, despite the infinitesimal chance of conviction, because they desperately need the sordid spectacle into which impeachment trials inevitably devolve. The Senate, however, isn’t required to try the President. That chamber possesses the “sole power to try all impeachments,” but is under no constitutional obligation to do so. The Democrats ignored House precedent and longstanding tradition to launch their “impeachment inquiry.” Why should Senate Republicans consider themselves bound by precedent and procedural rules where the trial is concerned?

Kids are different today – in troubling ways. Studies and polls reveal they are far more prone to anxiety and depression than previous generations and more of them embrace nanny-state socialism. Multiple factors are driving these broad behaviors – including the rise of social media, infantilizing helicopter parents and the low-grade panic caused by the Great Recession. But a key driver that has received little attention is the left’s false and calculated hysteria around climate change. Apocalyptic fears may be a feature rather than a bug of human psychology, but Americans under 25 have grown up under a singular cloud of doom.

The Democrats increasingly resemble those wannabe jihadis who blow themselves to rags by mishandling homemade explosives. Their animus for President Trump is such that they consistently underestimate the danger to themselves presented by “bombshell” revelations when managed with insufficient care. The already questionable credibility of Elizabeth Warren was recently damaged when, based on a now-debunked New York Times story, she precipitously demanded the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. A similarly impulsive Democratic response to the “explosive” claims made by an anonymous intelligence official about a telephone conversation between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will inevitably explode in their faces.

The Democrats’ media narrative of impeachment portrays President Trump and his administration as serial law-breakers who, true to form, obstruct all congressional investigations of wrongdoing. This then becomes the analytical framework for every new controversy. There are at least two fundamental problems with this. First, our constitutional system is based on friction between competing branches vested with separate but closely related powers. The Framers understood that the two political branches would periodically try to usurp each other’s authorities. Congress often does this by enactments that seek to subject executive power to congressional (or judicial) supervision. Presidential pushback on such laws is not criminal obstruction
