Trump slams conservative columnist

President Trump ripped conservative columnist Peggy Noonan in a tweet Sunday for suggesting that Congress censure him for attempting to obstruct special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation instead of trying to impeach him. ”Peggy Noonan, the simplistic writer for Trump Haters all, is stuck in the past glory of Reagan and has no idea what is happening with the Radical Left Democrats, or how vicious and desperate they are,” Trump wrote in a posting. “Mueller had to correct his ridiculous statement, Peggy never understood it!”

Peggy Noonan has traded on her not that great Reagan connection for an eon. And it is an eon, but Peggy hasn't been there for it. Her writing is awful, and her ideas are pickled in NYC wine. And "simplistic" is a perfect critique.

Noonan jumped the shark with George Will and Billy Kristol, in close formation with Max Boot some time ago. I saw a brief clip of Will apparently being interviewed on CBS. Apparently, from a 20 second clip, Will is still suffering from a severe case of TDS and being a pompous horse's hind end. Noonan is WAY past her last "use by" date.

Noonan is another example of the Rino infestation that dwells in the sludge, mire, and muck that ferments in the Washington Swamp. Infrequently (thankfully), she emerges to remind us of the stench that exists in that sordid city. Thank god the newly appointed Sanitation Engineer, AG Barr is on the job. It won't be long before we drain the likes of Noonan, Crystal, Will, and other creatures from the lagoon.

What's ironic, not to mention amazing, is that Donald Trump has done more for flyover Country Class conservatives and conservative policies in 2+ years than the Noonan's, Will's, Charen's, Kristol's and the rest of the "well, I never" crowd have in their careers.

Noonan - of the Upper East Side in NYC, is trying to keep up invitations dinner & hampton parties with all her hedge fund billionaire neighbors. Her repertoire is like Malcolm Forbes' coverart a few years ago - getting a little threadbare on the cuffs and collars, given that most of her neighbors aren't old enough to remember the flowery phrases she cribber for the Gipper's speeches....

Noonan's speech-writing specialty was memorializing events like the Challenger explosion and the Normandy invasion for Ronald Reagan. She's not a deep thinker and absorbs the ideas of people around her. Since she now lives in the Upper East Side, she's absorbed her neighbors' contempt for Trump "the vulgarian." I haven't considered her a conservative or even a Republican since she went all drooly over Barack Obama.

I was going to try to read her article- depending on how stinky it is- too see for WHAT SPECIFIC ACTS she would have him censured. But alas, no subscription to wsj for me. This article states she proffered the following reasons: “There’s plenty of suppressed resentment there [in the senate] at how he’s mortified them and lowered things.” “she said Trump would have liked to “subvert the investigation but wasn’t good at it” and was foiled by his staff. “There are seemingly dangled pardons and threatened firings. There’s a hapless small-timeness to it, a kind of brute dumbness, and towering over it all is a grubby business deal in Moscow,” wrote Noonan, who has been a persistent critic of Trump since he entered office. Ah yes, all strictly infra dig, Pegminister Fullwater. What a clown she is. Or paid fool to mislead whatever fools give her credence.

Preposterous to call Piggy Noonan a "conservative". FIrst off, she is a nincompoop that no one should ever take seriously. Second, she is bereft of even a basic understanding of Constitutional principles - the salient characteristic of conservatives. Third, she has no visible means of support for any conservative positions - she is incapable of articulating guiding principles.

With a national approval rating of 20%, Congresd does not have the credibility to impeach or censure anyone or anything. Until they can do the national business in a timely and efficient manor.. they will never have credibility! A simple thing like a budget and appropriations bill signed into law by October 1, 2019. If not they should be impeached and censured by the American public. Their failure is malfeasance and misfeasance of fiduciary responsibility, and couple that with upholding the actual laws of the nation.. immigration for one!

Too bad President Trump can’t run for prime minister of Britain. He arrived in London for his long-awaited state visit just as Britons showed themselves to be a lot Trumpier than the elites have been suggesting. Oh, sure, the Leftist louts in London hauled out their 20-foot “baby Trump” balloon, showing the president in diapers. Another, showing Mr. Trump tweeting while on a gold toilet, was reportedly being readied. Protesters are out in force. The far more meaningful “demonstration,” though, took place May 23. That’s when Britons elected a new delegation to the European Parliament. In a stunning turnout, Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party just trounced the establishment.

Mayor de Blasio is the city’s debtor-in-chief. Last year, City Hall’s resident presidential hopeful owed banks and other creditors between $1.35 million and $1.75 million, and maybe more, according to financial disclosures released by the Conflicts of Interest Board on Monday. Twenty-eight of the city’s elected officials collectively owed between $2.3 million and $5.4 million in 2018, a News analysis of the disclosures shows. Hizzoner was by far the biggest debtor. Again, the upper range is unclear due to the way the debt is reported. De Blasio had two mortgages worth more than $500,000 each, his 2018 disclosure shows.

Last November, the American people overwhelmingly elected a new majority in the House of Representatives, giving Democrats the power to impeach President Donald J. Trump — if it was warranted. But Wednesday, special counsel Robert Mueller publicly reiterated what his report already made clear: that “if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that.” Put another way, Mueller noted that despite what Trump might think or tweet, he was not an exonerated man. Democrats have a version of the report, and they have Mueller’s clear interpretation of the facts in it. And what ha
