Attorney General William Barr’s nearly hour-long interview with CBS News’ Jan Crawford last week was full of fascinating details about the special counsel probe, the debunked Russia collusion theory that roiled Washington for years, and Barr’s investigation into how the FBI and Department of Justice used the “bogus” theory to investigate the Trump campaign. The interview was downplayed by the media, which is implicated in perpetuating the Russia hoax Barr is investigating, and which came in for criticism from Barr for its failure to care about violations of civil liberties. Here are the top 28 take-aways from the interview.

I love his matter of fact delivery. I also prefer his word "bogus" to the use of "hoax." There's nothing playfull about an attempt to overthrow a government. Perhaps most importantly he has roped the media into the discussion. We have laws against collusion between corporations for price fixing and unfair labor practices because of the interference with free and fair markets. The media can all come out with the exact same talking points using the exact same words at the exact same time with each other and the democrat party propagandists but somehow that's ok?

The leftists' narrative morphed and they themselves appear to be totally unaware of it, as they were with Nixon and Watergate. They went from one thing (Russian 'collusion'/Watergate break-in) to another (Obstruction of Justice/""), all in one fell swoop without the CNN crazies skipping a beat. They are just like the judges at the Salem Witch Trial shocked by the accused claiming their innocence amidst scant evidence is again proof of the crime. The one who should be brought into our courts are Hillary Clinton, the Podesta brothers, Brennan, Comey, Lynch, Susan Rice, Samantha Powers, and Clapper. Let their squeals be heard by loyal Americans across our great land.

Slam dunk on the "Resistance" Deep State...Comey, Mueller, Brennan, Hildebeast, Stinky, Jarrett, Powers, Rice, Podesta brothers, et al. and their propaganda accomplices in the drive-by media: Quoting AG Barr: “[R]epublics have fallen because of Praetorian Guard mentality, where government officials get very arrogant, they identify the national interest with their own political preferences and they feel that anyone who has a different opinion, you know, is somehow an enemy of the state. And you know, there is that tendency that they know better and that, you know, they’re there to protect as guardians of the people. That can easily translate into essentially supervening the will of the majority and getting your own way as a government official.”

We are here and AG Barr is here for one reason and one reason only: Billary, Obie, Soros, the dims, the msm, and the deep state still can't come to grips with the results of the 2016 Presidential election. Their colluding with Russia to build the dossier for destroying Trump failed and they have now run for cover like cockroaches now that Muellie's report was a bust. All they had to do was lay low after November 2016 and prepare for November 2020. But, they didn't. Billary wanted to destroy the country as punishment for her self-inflicted loss. AG Barr is a man of steel. His Perry Mason schtick is refreshing and absolutely welcome. Cleaning the swamp of those who helped collude against the President will take time but must be done. What a shame it was that two years were wasted with Sessions who didn't have the stones to investigate and himself ran for cover while Muellie ran his political circus.

Also, FTA: "Well it’s hard to read some of the texts with and not feel that there was gross bias at work and they’re appalling…. Those were appalling." On Sunday, CNN held town hall specials with a trio of presidential candidates -- Seth Moulton, Eric Swalwell and Tim Ryan. We watched it so you wouldn't have to. All three of them are Democratic members of Congress. None is in danger of becoming president anytime soon. So why do we pay attention to what they say? Well, because as they stammer and sweat and pander profusely, they give us a good idea of what the Democratic primary voters believe and what they care about. And of course, the thing they care about most -- a thing they can’t stop talking about ever – is race.

If you know the history of the 19th Amendment, you will notice a peculiar omission from the statements issued by various Democrats celebrating the 100th anniversary of its passage by Congress. Elizabeth Warren, for example, tweeted: “People always say that big change is impossible. That’s what they told the suffragettes (Snip) What Warren conveniently forgets is that the people who said it was “impossible” were Democrats. Her party blocked passage of the amendment from 1878, when it was introduced by the Republicans, until the latter won such huge majorities in the 1918 midterms that the Democrats were no longer able to deny women justice.

Presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is once again proving that it’s easy to be a democratic socialist. If you are bewildered by the weird antipathy with which Democrats and the media regard Attorney General William Barr, consider a passage from the Nobel Prize acceptance speech delivered by Polish dissident Czesław Miłosz in 1980: “In a room where people unanimously maintain a conspiracy of silence, one word of truth sounds like a pistol shot.” Our government hasn’t yet devolved into the kind of totalitarian regime under which Poland groaned at that time, but there is a conspiracy of silence surrounding the skullduggery that led to the Russia collusion fraud, and Barr fired that metaphorical pistol on April 10, 2019.

William Barr's interview Thursday with Jan Crawford is filled with fascinating details and surprisingly candid responses, but most interesting of all may be that he undertook this dialogue not with friendlies at Fox or the Wall Street Journal but with CBS — the very beating heart of the mainstream media from well before the days of the Dan Rather embarrassment. The network is the sine qua nonof Deep State establishmentarianism. You would think they would crucify him, but Barr is fearless — and justifiably so. He knows he is telling the truth and that, as the saying goes, will set you free.

The statement by special counsel Robert Mueller in a Wednesday press conference that “if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime we would have said that” is worse than the statement made by then FBI Director James Comey regarding Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. Comey declared in a July 2016 press conference that “although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive highly classified information.”

In a prior column, I addressed the public debate over Bill Barr’s authority to declassify intelligence regarding the Obama administration’s Trump-Russia investigation. Lurking behind this debate, we should understand, is that administration’s handling of the Steele dossier: a compilation of faux intelligence reports. The dossier was, of course, generated by the Fusion GPS firm — principally, by British spy–turned–hack-for-hire Christopher Steele and journalist-turned-fabulist Glenn Simpson. The dossier is a slipshod, unverified opposition-research screed, sponsored by the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Its sensational allegations of a Trump-Putin conspiracy to undermine the 2016 election (including by hacking and disseminating Democratic

Robert Mueller’s Wednesday morning press conference provided more evidence that President Trump has been right about him all along. After asserting that his final report to the attorney general on Russian interference in the 2016 election “speaks for itself,” and that nothing he or the special counsel’s office would say in future would go beyond that report, he deliberately threw additional fuel on the “obstruction of justice” dumpster fire. Knowing full well that he was providing the headline-of-the-day for the anti-Trump “news” media and a fresh talking point for the impeachment zealots in the House, he said: As set forth

When Nancy Pelosi decided to appease the impeachment hawks in her caucus by accusing President Trump of engaging in a cover-up, the media responded with undisguised glee. The New York Times, for example, ran a story that essentially congratulated the House Speaker for publicly goading the man. Trump responded by giving them transparency good and hard. He not only instructed the various intelligence agencies to assist Attorney General William Barr with his inquiry into the inception of the Russia investigation, but gave Barr authority to declassify related intelligence material. Oddly, the media have suddenly lost their enthusiasm for transparency.

His point basically was (without rehashing the whole thing) that every bit of everything we know or think we know--every news item, every little bit of information that fed this narrative the past two years or three now, that Trump colluded with Russia--came not from American intelligence, not from British intelligence.
