It's the lavish London hotel favoured by oligarchs and a A-list celebrities where the most opulent suite costs £22,000 a night. So it is perhaps fitting that Donald Trump, known for his love of extravagant decor, has booked an entire floor of the Corinthia Hotel for his family and extended entourage for this week’s state visit to Britain. The US President will be accompanied by wife Melania and four of his five children for the visit, which begins tomorrow. The President and his wife are expected to stay at Winfield House, the US Ambassador’s official residence in Regent’s Park, but sources say other members of his family will

Presidents and their families typically book an entire floor of a hotel at the behest of the Secret Service. Can't have other guests intermingling. See Obama, Barack & Michelle at a 70 person extravaganza vacation in Madrid. Windows had to be replaced with bullet-proof glass. I don't even want to know the price of that boondoggle, not that anybody would reveal it.
Don't try to shock us with normal security procedures, it's immature.

Saudis not only book the entire floor, but they pay the hotel to replace all carpet, paint the walls, replace the mattresses, and install bigger TVs before they arrive. If the Secret Service did that, I'd be amazed.

I remember Clinton's Secretary of State staying at our hotel. The government booked the entire hotel room and had secret service and German shepherd guarding the entire perimeter. And I thought that was a normal government SOP.

I think the Obamas love extravagant decor even more and I’m sure they spent more tax dollars on lavish digs than Trump.

I believe Mr. Trump is paying all costs for his family. I don't know that for a fact. I do know for a fact that he is not a grifter. They left.
Mr. Trump has more, much more class.

Do the cheap Brits expect the President to stay in a youth hotel?? When the Arkansas and Chicago trash visited they did not seem to have a problem with anything, other than groveling around their ankles!

Knowing the Donald, he probably negotiated a big discount. Just because the top suite in that hotel costs £22,000 a night, does not mean that the Trump family members will be staying in that particular suite.
Reportedly President Trump has a 150 person Secret Service security detail accompanying him on the trip. Maybe the Daily Mail will investigate their lodging expenses while in London. It is routine for the Daily Mail to make a big issue about how much everything costs when reporting anything at all.

I'll bet the cost of the entire floor pales in comparison to the cost of lugging around Michael the line backer and its mother and 73 hangers on. So, yawn, not a big deal. AND, the protesters are much more vocal and violent against Pres Trump than folks were against zippy.

The Trump family are the best. Dad spent 100,000,000 of their money in winning the 2016 campaign. They deserve the best because President Donald Trump is fixing our country. In 6 years more there will be nothing left of the Obola-Biden Radical transformation. These are wonderful times to be alive.
