As impeachment noise reaches ever-louder crescendos among Democrats, with the real danger they will overplay their hand and end up investigating and subpoenaing themselves into defeat in 2020, there now emerges another threat: a little-noticed Democrat running for President who is reminding his party of the saner policies some of their most prominent leaders embraced not that long ago. Democratic luminaries like Bobby Kennedy, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, John F. Kennedy, and Henry “Scoop” Jackson – all of whom in their time represented dark blue states.

Doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance. There are no rational people left in the democrat party. I believe Sam Nunn may have been the last one.

Out of the 23 or 24 loons running, this one sounds like he may be somewhat sane, but the crazies will slice and dice him if he gets any attention. That's a good thing, keep the crazies front and center.

He almost sounds good, except that he's a baby killer--within the confines of Roe, let's be clear about that. I can't trust anyone who thinks the democrats party needs saving. The dems are the party of KKK, slavery, Jim Crow, they built the ghettos in the inner city, they're the party of baby killers, they're anti-capitalist, anti-American, anti-God, anti-law, anti-Constitution... What's there to save?

Not to mention, the current Democrat Party has NO respect for the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, or Christianity. There's no "saving" the "Orcs" of politics.

So, who will he vote for in 2020, if he isn't the democrat candidate for President? Will his true principles guide his vote? Or will the only thing that matters to him be a D next to the name--Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Joe or Bernie? This is what the Democrat party is doing to its faithful. I'd never vote for a D after their stances this season. Even this poor guy will be pulled to the left. They can't help themselves. MAGA!!! KAG!!! Trump 2020!

Were Horowitz really "terrifying" the Democrats, she'd switch parties. She knows her Party will never gain sanity. She just wants the attention. I am very skeptical of partisans who claim they're somehow different from their fellow partisans.

Whatever. He's a Trojan Horse. If elected he'd fall right in line with the Socialists. His positions have very little support amongst Democrats, and he's just trying to appeal to Independents.

Earlier this month, San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to order every store in the city to accept cash. It seems that some innovative companies were experimenting with cashless stores as a way to cut costs, improve efficiency and keep prices down. But in progressive San Francisco, that kind of progress cannot be tolerated. Democrat-controlled Philadelphia imposed a similar ban on cashless stores in March. That same month, New Jersey’s Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law banning cashless stores throughout the Garden State.

When I was a little girl around the age of 7 in the late 1960s, the most exciting thing in the world was to persuade my parents to take me and my sisters to Sharp Hospital, up the road from where I lived in San Diego, to go see the newborn babies through the hospital window. In my little-kid mind, two things were must-sees - the giant statue of the stork carrying a baby at the entrance, and from the baby window with all the newborn babies, finding the babies in the incubators, marveling at how tiny they were in their oversized diapers

Need any more evidence that Democrats are nuts? With 24 candidates running for president against President Trump, Democratic Party chairman Tom Perez has moved to cut the size of the clown car so voters can at least see the candidates on a single screen at the upcoming first debate, come June. Fringe candidates can go to the children's table. According to the Associated Press: The parameters, announced Wednesday, are likely to help cull a crop of 24 candidates and, in the process, intensify scrutiny on Democratic Chairman Tom Perez and his pledge to give all candidates a chance to be heard .

CUCUTA, Colombia (Reuters) - Wearing camouflage shirts and combat boots, a Venezuelan militia group stands in formation in the Colombian city of Cucuta as their commander, a former Venezuelan army sergeant, outlines plans to seize towns across the border before heading to Caracas to help oust President Nicolas Maduro. Eight men, who said they were defectors from Venezuelan police, army and intelligence services, had gathered near the two nations’ tense frontier, from where they said they will lead an attack aimed at overthrowing Maduro and handing the reins of power to opposition leader Juan Guaido.

In a story that got no attention because it fit no established 'narrative,' two reporters from the Los Angeles Times exposed a revolting scandal: The foul, inhuman conditions of a vaunted L.A. child migrant center called Casa Libre led by a top open-borders advocate billed as a "champion of immigrant rights." In their report, Cindy Carcamo and Paloma Esquivel begin: Los Angeles lawyer Peter Schey has long been a trailblazing courtroom defender of immigrant youth. He helped argue the Supreme Court case that ensured the right of children without legal status to attend public schools.

Three modelers are predicting President Trump will win reelection in 2020 based on a combination of economic data and incumbent advantages, according to a column in The New York Times. Steven Rattner wrote that Ray Fair of Yale favors Trump to win based on a model that combines incumbency and gross domestic product growth rates. The model predicted Barack Obama's 2008 popular vote margin within a fraction of a percentage point and got within two-tenths of a point for his 2012 vote share, Rattner, who served as a counselor to the Treasury secretary during the Obama administration, added.

Tsipras has shown himself to be the ultimate political survivor but he will have a hard time staying in the game after such a beating.

Markets thrive on competition. Unfortunately, this doesn’t just apply to real economic markets. It also applies to markets for bad ideas and political pandering. With approximately 200 Democrats now running for president (we lost count a few weeks ago), the bidding to bribe Iowa caucusgoers is becoming intense. This is unfortunate not just because it is unseemly but also because the offers are coming at the expense of the nation’s well-being and the environment’s health. The worst pander so far comes from Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. When she is not privately belittling her staff in ALL CAPS 4 a.m. emails, Klobuchar is attempting to gain

“Bombshell” best describes David Garrow’s lengthy piece “The Troubling Legacy of Martin Luther King.” The article not only obliterates what we think we know about one of the most beloved figures in American history, it, like a bombshell, hurts people. This includes the many admirers of Martin Luther King but also the various figures, including alleged paramours still alive, named in the article. The manner in which the government assembled the derogatory information on King — gathered with the approval of Democratic officials, including Attorney General Robert Kennedy, all feigning support for the civil rights leader — sickens in a literal sense. Using King’s association with various figures involved
