Turns out, Robert Mueller is camera-shy.
Since being named special counsel in the Russia investigation two years ago, Mueller has out-Garboed Garbo in his ability to maintain a public silence. Mostly, this has been a good thing — it is easier to take a prosecutor seriously when he or she avoids grandstanding on cable news and instead sticks to the work of taking down the bad guys. Mueller's ability to keep his lips zipped was especially striking in contrast with President Trump, whose constant commentary on the investigation sometimes provided his critics with fresh ammunition.

Mueller was watching when the Worm Turned. He knows who the FBI director was when AG Holder kicked the whole political surveillance thing off.

He already said everything in 442 pages. What's left?

Mueller was FBI director until 2013. The massive, illegal misuse of the NSA database for political spying began
under his term as FBI director. Now that this is starting to be known, he is in great legal jeopardy himself
and is laying low.
I hope he gets nailed in the upcoming exposure of this huge, criminal cabal in FBI, DoJ, CIA and Dept
of State.

I would be silent too if I spent two years and $34 million on a crime that I knew did not exist and knew of another crime that I deliberately ignored. Like a mouse in daylight.
Every top official of the FBI had to know what was going on and eventually all will be fingered. The resulting finger pointing will be very informative and we will see Comey cry before it's all over.

Mueller isn't stupid. He has been given a role to play in a coup, and he knows its not working. He's not talking because he knows whatever he says can be used against him. He is covering his own rear end.

Herr Mueller and his Swamp Gestapo did their dirty work in private. The last thing they want is sunshine shown upon them. And guess what, those Democrat star chamber committees still have Republican members and they will be loaded for bear if and when Herr Mueller descends off his cloud and deigns to appear, probably in white, flowing robes, before Congress.

"An appearance before Congress would become a political spectacle."
No, it would be a circus. It already is. Muller said there was no collusion with Russian by ANY American. How difficult is that to parse?
As to obstruction, Trump gave Mueller's team unrestricted access to the people in the WH that they wanted to speak with and gave the orders to cooperate fully. There was NOTHING Mueller wanted from Trump's people that he didn't get except for speaking to Trump himself. By the time Mueller wanted to do that, it was CLEAR no crime had been committed so why should Trump speak with Mueller?
The whole possibility of obstruction seems to come from Trump's attitude that the investigation was a witch hunt and Trump's frustration with it. As it turns out, it WAS a witch hunt! Mueller and his staff were EXTREME partisans and were involved in illegal spying that lead up to the Russian collusion coup attempt. As noted, Mueller was head of the FBI when the spying started in 2012. He was horribly compromised and should have recused himself from the prosecutor job. Barr and Rosenstein reviewed and summarized Mueller's obstruction notes and found NO obstruction. The unredacted report does NOT dispute that. Mueller told Barr that his summary was NOT inaccurate, in essence, CORRECT.
Mueller may have wanted his report to create a bit of a stench for Trump, a foul, spoiled rotten nothingburger but Barr correctly cut him off. THAT is what the dems want; a vicious, nasty public spectacle that is ultimately empty of purpose except for the theatrical value.
My guess is that Mueller knows exactly how much trouble he is about to be in and Barr has made it clear that what goes around comes around. Make pissy trouble for Trump over nothing and Mueller may find himself paying an enormous price when his own misdeeds are brought to light.
Within a couple months, I suspect Mueller will be wishing that everyone would just forget all about him.

It has been made pretty clear that Andrew Weissman headed up the Special Counsel’s team, and that he and/or the team chose Mueller to be its “leader”. Sidney Powell has already publicly stated that, her having known Andrew Weissman and his style for years, the “Mueller Report” was written by Weissman.
Perhaps this is the reason Mueller is afraid to be interviewed publicly the the committee(s). If the work product was Weissman’s, he would not be able to adequately respond to questions about it.

#8, that is an excellent insight. We might be surprised how little Mueller actually participated in
and therefore, knows, about this investigation.

Lemme help you out here, Joel. Mueller is quiet because he is guilty and President Donald Trump is loudly denying his innocence . Got it?

How can this guy accuse Trump and Barr of spin, when they have released the full Mueller report with minimal redaction? READ THE REPORT!

This article is a load! Let Mueller appear in an open hearing so he can be grilled by Republicans. If he won't do that, then the creep should fade away and not be heard from again. Maybe he will be indicted by Barr. Wouldn't that be justice?

Thanks to the visibility of and interest around AG Barr, mueller has been publicly exposed as the corrupt stooge he has been for many years. I have read the only reason he is not in jail for the whitey bulger fiasco is another crooked AG pulled strings to get him a pass by limiting the scope of the investigation. Is this AG Barr's second chance? I am still waiting for all those white hatted fbi rank and file types hannity keeps imagining to come out of the woodwork.

Today's CTH shows that this actually started in 2010, so Mueller was neck deep in this mess,
and he needs to be fitted for an orange jumpsuit.

Mueller doesn't want to be publicly questioned by Republicans about when he knew there was no collusion, and why his staff was all rabid partisan democrats.
