Human beings will die without oxygen. Yet breathing pure oxygen will kill you as certainly as taking strychnine or cyanide. Someone should remind Grand Rapids, Michigan’s Congressman Justin Amash of this – and maybe his voters. In a series of tweets on Saturday, Amash declared that “Contrary to Barr’s portrayal, Mueller’s report reveals that President Trump engaged in specific actions and a pattern of behavior that meet the threshold for impeachment.”

Justin Amash thinks this is what the people want. He's an idiot. Put it this way... He's McCain's long lost son and Romney is his Godfather.

I made it as far as " charisma-challenged " Mike Pence. The writer hasn't met or talked to Mike Pence. If ever there was a man who looks, sounds and acts presidential , it is our Vice President. I would suggest that anyone who agrees with Thomas McCardle ,needs to google the our vice president's speech on the constitution to the Hillsdale graduation a few years ago. Working quietly and loyally beside president Trump does not relegate this fine man to the rank of 'charisma-challenged". He has served in the U S House, two terms of governor on Indiana and hosted the most popular radio talk show in the state . But yeah, we know he's just TOO religious.

Nobody dared mention impeachment of the Kenyan Bookend although he crossed that line many times. The Constitution was nothing more than a doormat in the White House. How dare these morons who claim to represent the people of America cry to impeach Trump whose every legal and effective action has been criticized since before he took office. Russia Russia does not exist except in the minds of the FBI and the CIA because Hillary and Barack put it there. A President who has evil intentions does not work double time to make America great. Trump 2020!

When Republicans engage in behavior that aids and abets the Socialist Party(D) and the Enemies of the People(D), one can often assume that they are hopeless, NeverTrump fellow travellers. But - one can also reasonably suspect that Organized Crime(D), uh I mean well-intentioned Democrats, have used mafia-style tactics on said Republican and/or his family in order to "change his mind". And I do mean mafia-style.

Sundance exposed recently that Amash is beholden via his company to China and all that means. So Amash isn't liking the tariffs. Maybe Amash should walk his talk about his company selling products actually made in America. That would stop the problems with tariffs. But then again, his district borders Tlaib's, and we have seen how that is working out. Way to go Michigan.

Pure oxygen at normal pressures is not harmful in the slitghtest. Only at high pressures is oxygen toxic. When someone starts off with a toss off line like that, it hadn't ought to be an untruth if he wants me to read the rest of it. I stopped there. If he can't get that right, what else is BS?

In my dream world when someone accuses the President of the United States of high crimes and misdemeanors it is incumbent on them to state the crimes. Failure to do so has all the intellectual honesty of simply stating orange man bad. So what should Trump be impeached for, having been spied on, having been slandered and impeded by proven lie, having been investigated for a known lie foisted by his political opponent? Or for being boisterous, arrogant, dumping his wife for an upgrade? You ready for that criteria for impeachment?

Is the U.S. government under the control of a shadowy group of insiders, unseen by the public and unaccountable to voters? A newly published report suggests the answer is “yes.” But lay aside the elaborate conspiracy theories about Russian infiltration. This insidious threat is far more mundane, stemming from bureaucrats who have hijacked the regulatory process to evade accountability for their actions. It’s time for Congress and President Trump to push back against federal agency rule-makers who are overstepping their authority.

‘These are prosperous times in America.” If that sounds like pro-Trump propaganda, that’s because it’s rarely uttered by anyone who isn’t already a supporter of the current president. But that’s how National Public Radio, to its credit, began a story about the incredible jobs boom underway right now in a segment called “America Is In Full Employment, So Why Aren’t We Celebrating?” “Why doesn’t today’s full employment come with effervescence?” reporters Pallavi Gogoi and Scott Horsley ask.

The threat to the free world if we get seduced into fully equipping our infrastructures with cheap Chinese advanced communications technology is of the gravest nature. “Victorious warriors win first and then go to war,” Chinese general and military strategist Sun Tzu declared in The Art of War, some 500 years before Christ. Using 21st-century terminology last week in London, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo described much the same thing, warning that Beijing is seeking “to divide Western alliances through bits and bytes, not bullets and bombs.”

That year, in fact, Victor Keegan wrote a column in the Guardian newspaper with this headline “Will MySpace ever lose its monopoly?” In it, he says that “as the MySpace generation goes into employment, (it) could eventually extend (Rupert) Murdoch’s influence in ways that would make his grip on satellite television seem parochial.” Around the same time, John Barrett, writing in Tech News World, declared that “MySpace Is a Natural Monopoly. “

Is that a five-day Dow Jones chart — or a roller coaster? Investors are certainly getting bounced around as financial markets obsess over trade negotiations with China — which have now culminated in tariff hikes on $200 billion of goods. But the real issue is how China has taken America for a ride for four decades. And — it’s absolutely vital to recognize — on way more than just trade. Fear is clearly taking hold within the halls of power in Tehran, and one wonders if both the Ayatollah and the U.S. are thinking hard about the year 2019. It may not be a coincidence that Iran is planning attacks on U.S. forces, according to intelligence reports, and assuming an increasingly hostile posture – or that the U.S. is responding to these moves in most serious fashion, including sending a carrier strike force into the region. The Iranian military is apparently using boats to move short-range ballistic missiles in the Persian Gulf, with a possible eye toward assaults on

Three-fourths of us have told pollsters that “my lawn and garden (are) a reflection of my personality.” But the eco-lobby doesn’t want us to have nice things. “On balance, lawns are awful for the planet,” Eric Holthaus wrote last week in Grist, an environmentalist online magazine. “Our addiction to lawns means that grass is the single largest irrigated agricultural ‘crop’ in America, more than corn, wheat,

So Nancy Pelosi is telling Democrats to stay in the center. She’s quite a few decades too late. Oldtimers will have a hard time remembering when her party was anywhere near the middle of the political road. Speaker of the House Pelosi issued her cautionary word last week. The Nevada Senate approved Tuesday a National Popular Vote bill on a party-line vote, sending the legislation aimed at upending the Electoral College to the governor. Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senate on a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote. If signed as expected by Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, Nevada would become the 16th jurisdiction to join the compact, along with 14 states and the District of Columbia.

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
