A federal judge upheld a congressional subpoena seeking President Donald Trump’s financial records from an accounting firm, dealing a blow to the president’s efforts to resist Democratic investigations. U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta’s ruling means that Mazars USA must comply with the House Oversight and Reform Committee’s subpoena for eight years of Trump’s financial records, though the president is certain to appeal the ruling. The president filed suit last month to block the subpoena, arguing that it amounted to an abuse of congressional authority.
How many of these type of decisions have been overturned by higher courts over the last 2 1/2 years? MANY. Dream on demon-craps. Y'all are toast. Our valiant President has already won this battle; it just hasn't been announced by the appeals court yet. WWG1WGA! MAGA!

Why can't Trump just seal all of his records like Obama did?

So, will every other presidents’ past business records be available for public consumption and congressional scrutiny? Seems fair.
Even before he was elected? Ridiculous!
Legislate, don’t investigate. IOW, do your jobs!

I'm not worried and I doubt Trump is either. It will either be overturned eventually, or they'll get the records and NOT FIND ANYTHING they can use. Trump has proven himself to be a man who thinks of all possible possibilities before he does something. He and Melania didn't ride down that golden escalator three years ago with unfinished business. Trust Trump. MAGA!

PDT should simply keep appealing until 01/31/25. Or until it reaches the SCOTUS after he has replaced RBG.

As one might expect, Politico makes a number of false claims in this article. DJT is protecting personal records, not resisting investigations of campaign violations or investigations of criminal conduct. This is part of the Dem continuing effort to create the impression that the President is stonewalling. It is a counter to investigations of the coup attempt made by Comey, Brennan, et al.

We need to demand that every member of Congress must submit his/her financial records (and not the hazy records they get away with because of the legislation they've passed to protect themselves), just like they're demanding of President Trump.

So president Trump can cough up 8 of his 163 financial records? OK. he'll pick some good ones no doubt. If he wants to borrow a couple of mine, I'll join the #metoo thingy.

We shall see. He seems to think impeachment is an unlimited process but traditionaly it is limited to actions committed in office. The Dems should be very careful as this could unleasch Rebublicans to start subpoenas on House Dem leaders. Which I think they should do befroe the week is out.

The obama appointed liberal judge has not dealt a blow to anyone. The ruling will be appealed and overturned like all liberal politically driven decisions.

How many foreign origin liberal lawyers did Obama nominate for federal judgeships? If those people are constitutionally ineligible to be elected President, how can they issue Court orders telling an elected President what he must do?

Let Gulliani ask for Schiffs, Nadlers, Cummings, Pelosis, Schumers, Waters and all of the current democrat presidential campaigners past 10 years of tax returns. This judge has set precedence, so there should be no complaints from the left side of the aisle.

It is quite the clever strategy the President is employing to keep the dims and msm focused on him. He has already done a pretty good job of playing them each and every day for the last two and a half years.

The Court of Appeals can issue a stay and probably will. The breathless tone of the article overstates the importance of a District Court opinion.
