The two counts for which I have just received a presidential pardon, and of which I was “convicted” in 2011, after the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously vacated them, only to have a self-serving appellate judge reinstate them, were for wire fraud and obstruction of justice. The alleged fraud was reception of $285,000 in my office in Toronto while I was in England, from our American company, which was approved by independent directors, referred to in public filings of the corporation, but which the company secretary had not completely formalized, in what the trial judge correctly regarded,

Judges (not the state) should be PERSONALLY libel for egregious errors. He and the thousands of others who were financially ruined should be able to force monetary compensation from this woman.

Long overdue. Good for President Trump to have fully pardoned Conrad Black. Black’s main offense was a combination of clear thinking and good writing which collectively took dead aim at the bloat, the shallowness, and the greed of the DC establishment. In short, he was a living breathing journalist. As such, he was a threat to the hacks, toadies, and propagandists who like to think of themselves as journalists. Black never stopped thinking and writing...some of his best stuff was penned in prison. Long live Conrad Black!

Wow - what an incredible exercise in corrupt justice. A worthy and long overdue pardon.

At the risk of sounding like Archie Bunker: if they want ya, they´re gonna get ya. Evidence, due process etc. are worthless if the system is rigged.
Trump´s act is justified but remains the notable exception here ie how many others have been railroaded into guilty pleas or had their defense rendered moot by dodgy judges?
It also brings into relief (again) the outrageous attempt by the Deep State to smear and remove Trump himself. No doubt he sees many parallels.

That my friends is the injustice that President Trump endures every day. This is how jealous enemies deal good people misery for their own incompetence.
A moving story but it´s no fiction it´s fact. We should all learn a lesson from Black and ever be aware of tawdry people that surround us.

Conrad Black´s story is our story- our nation´s story of evil winning. And look at the names of the actors who did this to him. Look how they are the same people who attacked Scooter Libby. Anyone reading a casual paper reporting those events of the day could see the insidious nature of the actors using our justice system to gain their evil goals. They terrified Bush...and so his weakness to not immediately pardon Libby, which would have been the sign they had failed miserably to negatively affect the President. Bush lost all credibility with me whe4n he did nothing. He felt like he was protecting what few friends he had left. But, what he really had done was shied away - the evil actors had won. They are doing it again with this President...and notice it is still the same names using exactly the same tactics..subverting and using our own justice system. I wanted to vomit when I hard Barr say he thought Mueller was a fine and honest man. He had to have said that for the benefit of the lying hypocrites in our congress.
This nation is suffering a critical ailment. The only fix is a purgative. If Comey, Mueller, Strzok, Brennan and all the rest, including Hillary Clinton do not get to suffer the consequences fo their actions in a big way, we may be experiencing a death watch for this nation. I firmly believe that. Evil like this can not be allowed to prevail!

Two things from the article - - - -
1. Sir Conrad got the American slang wrong when he wrote "it´s a bad wrap." Of course - - it´s a bad "rap."
2. White House counsel Pat Cipollone - - his last name means "Big Onions."
Just thought it may be helpful - - - - - - -

Now it´s time to pardon the respectable and respectful General Flynn. Mr. President, seal that pardon, too!
Thank you, Mr. Black for remaining a gentleman. May the grace and pardon given suffice for now. Thank you for your service to our country.
MAGA!!! KAG!!! We have a great President!!! Trump 2020!

Conrad Black is a mensch. President Trump is a mensch. I want Black´s words as my epitaph: ´´For my friends, no explanation was ever necessary; for my enemies, none would ever have sufficed.´´

I suspect #14 owes a number of us new keyboards and monitors. LOL
Time to heal the life of General Flynn. He has been through the wringer long enough. IMO, it isn´t the American judicial system Steyn has been fighting so hard in, it is his former home country Canada. They have put in some committees that would make Stalin envious.

Congratulations for Mr. Black. I had never believed that he was a criminal, even though I did not follow the case closely.
It would appear that judge Posner is another just another crooked judge.
Note that some of the same crooked personalities were involved in the hideous coup attempt against President Trump.
Mueller is a thug, and a criminal, and has LONG been one. That he has kept a reputation for honesty is a serious black mark against those who support him.
In my mind, he will be always the leader of Mueller´s Gestapo, a gang of legalized thugs as vicious and lawless as their namesake.

Lord Black is a wonderful intellectual. A gentleman of integrity and dignity. Always read hin and VDH at American Greatness. Also enjoyed his book on Trump with preface by VDH.
The Lord Black case illustrates once again why the FBI must be dispersed. They are corrupt from top to bottom.

Proud of President Trump for his courage to do the right thing by Lord Black; Illinois corruption and envy were what brought Black down. He is witty, smart and prepared to state his mind; something THEY just can´t stand.

#15, I greatly sympathize with your comment, but it appears as if Judge Sullivan is unwinding the Mueller
Gestapo's evil scheme against Gen. Flynn, all by himself, and it would be entirely premature to pardon the General. I believe that it is likely that Judge Sullivan will be able to get all of the charges against Flynn erased. A pardon would leave the (IMO) spurious guilty plea in place, a permanent smear on the General. Judge Sullivan can erase that entirely, and I think he may well do it, once the facts are clear to him, not just Weissmann's lies.
Unfortunately, Flynn has irrevocably lost several years of his life, we have lost his valuable services against the evil cabal in the Deep State and our international enemies, and he has lost his life's savings.
I hope that Gen. Flynn can be put into a position to start cleaning out this hideous infection in our system, advising President Trump on matters foreign and domestic, and earn back the money that was stolen from him.
I hope that someday, the evil thug that is Weissmann will get a total comeuppance.
