The House Judiciary Committee is voting to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress and to secure a vote of the entire House of Representatives in order to send the matter to federal court. The problem is that the contempt action against Barr is long on action and short on contempt. Indeed, with a superficial charge, the House could seriously undermine its credibility in the ongoing conflicts with the White House. Congress is right on a number of complaints against the White House, including possible cases of contempt, but this is not one of them.

I stopped reading at "the House could seriously undermine its credibility."

What, I suspect, we were witnessing is PDT´s brilliant tactic of allowing the Dims to drop the masks and fully expose themselves. It is no longer a question of whether their deranged cesspool of a party is criminally corrupt or not (the evidence they so willingly provide us every day now is conclusive) but rather, do you the American voter side with the criminally corrupt - or not?
We can´t wait to see PDT´s next tactical move.

Watching the Democrats daily make their pretend contempt citations and Jabberwocky claims of constitutional crisis is like being transported into the Mad Hatter´s tea party in Alice in Wonderland. It´s surreal.
Do they really think anyone outside their insane "party" actually believes any of their nonsense?

NOBODY is watching what the other hand of the Marxists is doing.
Hillary got 3 million more voters, all illegal aliens from California, to win the popular vote. We know that.
There are a MINIMUM of one thousand illegal aliens per day coming into the country RIGHT NOW and it is NOT stopping. That is a fact.
In 2016, the Marxists could not get the illegals to the critical purple and red districts, get them registered and get their absentee ballot votes in; they were "stuck" in California but notice, they all voted, all 3 million.
The Marxists have to either, work out the logistics to get illegal aliens into critical districts to vote and/or try to get rid the electoral college. Colorado essentially got rid of the electoral college in their state (and guess which color districts the Marxists are sending illegals to in Colorado to change everybody from red to blue? DUUUHHHH)
Since it is being nothing but rewarded for its current crimes and ongoing coup, do you think the deep state is not going to try to steal the election...again? And with the GOP considering Sass to run as an independent, hoping to get rid of Trump in 2020, does my theory sound black helicopter to you, or more like it´s happening under our noses with the help of the GOP? I´m going with door number two.

Nadler tried pounding the facts and the witness and it didn´t work. Now he is trying to pound the table.

This is not governing. They should not be in Washington. All the left is doing is pandering to people that are ruled by hatred rather than their brain. What is scary is how much they have bought into their own meme. Its pathetic. They aren´t leaders.

The democrats are trying to protect the bad people, making themselves bad too, and co-conspirators, imo.

Maybe Barr can supply the unredacted documents from "Fast and Furious" along with all the unredacted documents from the Bengazi fiasco, possibly even throw in interacted documents from when the IRS targeted political foes.
Surely there wouldn´t be any complaints in Congress over that - after all, they are all about transparency.

It is clear that this is political theatre, stage dressing for what is to come after Labor Day, when the 2020 election season begins.
Assuming it passes, this allows Nadler, SChiff, Cummings, Pelosi and the rest to shout about cover-up and "lack of transparency" and all that. Mueller testifies in a few weeks, which the compliant media will spin into more of the same going into the summer recess. Then there will be rumblings of impeachment articles being prepared...
The simple object is to run Trump out of the re-election race, to run off any campaign staff talent, to raise the legal defense ante, involve PDT´s family and associates, and his businesses. The cost of all this will be great...and that´s the point. It will be HIS money, not government funds, expended for his defense.

Are there no decent people left in government/politics? Are they all corrupted by their lust for power, prestige and money? This is a "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" moment if there ever was one.
