Poker Rule #2 Luck counts

Poker Rule #1 You can´t win them all. If you could, nobody would ever play against you.

Poker Rule #3 PLAY!!!! You can´t win them all but you can win most of them.

What a shame the country has to endure the highest employment in 59 years, with about a trillion coming back into the country thanks to changes in business regulations. To have to suffer thru a businessman´s leadership when we could have the endless bloviating of mouthy punks who NEVER ran any kind of business or funded a payroll, that is so tragic.

The rat party so full of losers they have to go back 13 years to find a low point. Meanwhile no one ever asks how slobs who could not cut it in business or any real job, get SO rich on ´public servant´ salaries? No one EVER looks at how the rat families get so rich. From nancy´s husband to the last rat leader of the house and his family profiting on Nevada land deals he set up. NOT a story, but some business reversals 13 years ago, that were overcome and brought back to the black, that´s a story. Par for propagandists in the media.

I thank Rush for his timely explanation and bringing us back to reality. Tax laws at that time were different I belive. I heard words of wisdom from VDH that you don´t pay tax on losses or on money you never earned.

Bottom line, if I had a million dollars to invest, I would happily place it in the hands of Donald J. Trump. To give the democrat and most of the Republicans $1 would be a risk I would not want be willing to take. We all know the self-important politicians who want to run every aspect of our lives are nothing but crooks, liars and thieves. If you scratch the surface on many politicians, you will uncover criminality that would make Al Capone blush. Look into the finances of Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton and the rest of the democrat leaders and you’ll find more corruption than you can shake a stick at. They make the Mafia look like pikers.

Basically this highlights the fact that the Dems are always losers and they really like losers who agree to stay losers ... therefore they need the Dems help!

Trump was down ... and then he got back up. True American success story, IMO. In the meantime he´s back on top again and is still a billionaire, has a beautiful wife, great kids and owns hotels, golf courses and Mar-a-Largo!. The Dems cry over spilled milk for days.

NOTE to the NYSlimes and their fellow travelers: It´s not important how many times you get knocked down in the prize fight, what´s important is that you get off the canvas and keep punching. This is the main reason Trump´s support is so wide & deep!

Let´s just take one teensy-weensy example of brilliance of government´s ability to do ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING; In 1967, when Medicare was started, it was projected to cost 12 billion per year by 1990. In 1990, Medicare cost 98 billion, only EIGHT TIMES higher than the geniuses in our federal government predicted. Medicare cost taxpayers 500 billion in 2010. Pick ANY government program and you get exactly the same or worse. These are the same people who are making fun of Trump for what happened over a ten year period almost 25 years ago. Sadly, MOST voters are utterly clueless because they prefer it that way. Thought is so much more difficult for them when all they have to think is Orange Man Bad.

President Trump on Monday signed an executive grant of clemency, a full pardon, to a former Army first lieutenant convicted of murdering an Iraqi prisoner. The White House released a statement announcing Trump´s decision to pardon Michael Behenna, who was sentenced in 2009 to 15 years for shooting and killing Ali Mansur Mohamed. The move comes after repeated requests from Oklahoma´s attorney general for Trump to pardon Behenna. "Mr. Behenna’s case has attracted broad support from the military, Oklahoma elected officials, and the public," the White House said, noting that more than two dozen generals and admirals as well as

WASHINGTON — Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not believe President Trump can be removed through impeachment — the only way to do it, she said this week, is to defeat him in 2020 by a margin so “big” he cannot challenge the legitimacy of a Democratic victory. That is something she worries about.“We have to inoculate against that, we have to be prepared for that,” Ms. Pelosi said during an interview at the Capitol on Wednesday as she discussed her concern that Mr. Trump would not give up power voluntarily if he lost re-election by a slim margin next year.

I’ve covered the Justice Department for three decades, and seldom have I seen a story like the one published in the New York Times this week under the headline, “Some on Mueller´s Team Say Report Was More Damaging Than Barr Revealed.” What concerned me most is that the story’s anonymous allegations reflect a fundamental misunderstanding of the role prosecutors play, including special counsels such as Robert Mueller. The job of prosecutors is not, as the Times headline suggested, to pen “damaging” narratives about people they couldn’t indict.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Sunday that growing cauliflower in community gardens is part of the “colonial” attitudes that her Green New Deal will stamp out. The New York Democrat, who introduced the proposal to tackle climate change by radically transforming the economy, posted a series of Instagram videos filmed in her home state talking about community gardens as a “core component” of her proposal. “What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community. It’s so important,” she said as she filmed a community garden in the Bronx. “So that’s really how you do it right.

The Nevada Senate approved Tuesday a National Popular Vote bill on a party-line vote, sending the legislation aimed at upending the Electoral College to the governor. Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senate on a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote. If signed as expected by Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, Nevada would become the 16th jurisdiction to join the compact, along with 14 states and the District of Columbia.

While 51% of U.S. adults say socialism would be a bad thing for the country, 43% believe it would be a good thing. Those results contrast with a 1942 Roper/Fortune survey that found 40% describing socialism as a bad thing, 25% a good thing and 34% not having an opinion. The Roper/Fortune survey is one of the oldest trend questions measuring attitudes on socialism in the U.S. Gallup's update of the question in an April 17-30 survey finds

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
