The Bud Light you know and love tastes the same but looks a little different. The beer company, in partnership with LGBTQ media organization GLAAD, launched its first-ever rainbow aluminum bottle to celebrate World Pride. “Bud Light has been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community since the 80s and we are excited to continue our long-standing partnership with GLAAD by collaborating with them on this new commemorative bottle that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and everything GLAAD does to support it,” said Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing for Bud Light. “The way we see it, our beer is

Fine. If I´m selling beer, I don´t mind if you´re gay or straight, black or white, male or female, conservative or liberal, etc., etc., etc.
I just want you to buy my beer. And if I think making a few rainbow pride bottles will sell me some more beer, well, get out the paint.

I doubt that having a rainbow on a Bud Light bottle will solve the world´s problems, including famine and pestilence. This is more about publicity and money wrapped up in a virtue signal.

If I am at a bar, trying to look cool, and impress the woman next to me...I don´t think, drinking out of a gay pride bottle is going to "impress me much"

My beer of choice is Bud Light Platinum. I guess I just bought my last 12 pack. Blast it. Why are so many companies making political statements and alienating their customers? I will not have a rainbow bottle in my bar.
I need a drink.

It´s epidemic and insidious. My company sent out a policy update from a Hindu-looking executive and spoke of the 5 pillars of our corporate strategy. Say what? My antennae went up immediately. Yes, I know, Hindu and Islam are different breeds, but in the confusion of today, what do we expect. In better news, Diversity Month was cut down to Diversity Week this year. Praying for Diversity Hour next year.

Budweiser has produced some really great ads in the past, featuring horses and dogs.
As to their beer, it tastes like it comes directly from the horse or dog.
Truth is, I took a drink of Bud Light years ago when it was introduced. One sip, one swallow, and the rest of it remained in the bottle. Bad tasting stuff.
