President Donald Trump said Saturday evening that Fox News Channel senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano asked to be appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court and for a pardon for a friend of the former superior court judge in New Jersey. The president tweeted after his rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, that Napolitano turned “very hostile” once his request to be nominated to the highest court in the land was rejected.“Thank you to brilliant and highly respected attorney Alan Dershowitz for destroying the very dumb legal argument of “Judge” Andrew Napolitano,” wrote President Trump. On other threads over time, as it was obvious that Nap bore antipathy toward anything Trump, others mentioned that he had wanted a Supreme Court appointment.
Now, in addition to being delusional and full of fake news on almost any subject (the man’s in over his head), he shows overt anti-Trumpism. Unwatchable. The remote fixes him… gone….

Why did Trump have to point this out publicly. Damn! But I wish he knew how to take the high road.

Can´t believe this hack thinks he is qualified to be on the Supreme Court. He was nothing but a county judge in Hackensack, NJ.

a poster asks why potus made this public. Judge Nap told the world that there was clear evidence potus was guilty of obstruction of justice in the recent report. Mr Trump always fights back.

If you have a Fox show and want your viewers to turn the tv off, then invite Napolitano on.

THAT would be a SCOTUS disaster. The Judge, who I used to pay attention to, is so full of beans so many times that I no longer even bother to listen to his blather.

Why should he #4. Let the truth be known. I was wondering why Napolitano was going after trump as he was usually pretty conservative some time back. Now I know.

Oh, hell no. Years ago, I had a lot of respect for Naploitano, but, he lost me in the last few years. Don´t put him on the Supreme Court.

This explains so much. The “libertarian” judge has become the new Geraldo - insisting on having conservative principles without displaying any.

The only gig he has now is showing up on the idiot box. The best way to ensure the occasional 5-10 minutes is to speak out of both sides of his can, thereby doubling his chances. Irrelevant, like every other professional teevee law doofus.

I, too, had a lot of respect for Judge N before he started grinding this political axe. Now I view him as little more than another CNN Lebanese. It appears the prez made the right decision.

Always had a lot of respect for the Judge, but when he dyed his hair a few years back, his true colors began to come out. He is not watched any more in this household.

Did we really need to know this? Sometimes I wish Trump would do what my grandmother suggested to me long ago. Teed off? Write it all down, read it, tear it up and throw it away. Not every slight we perceive needs to be made public. Most of us here are smart enough to judge the judge on what he says and does.

Never thought much of him and his leftist slant opinions on the law. He´s been a lifelong liberal and he now wears it proudly. Fox should let him go. Adios!

#´s 11, 12 & 18 spoke for me. I went along with him being a Constitutionalist until he disappointed me a few too many times with his version of the Constitution. He later declared himself to be a Libertarian. It was the new weight loss & hair color change that convinced me he was neither. The only thing that hasn´t changed is his laugh, even that doesn´t sound genuine now - too bad, I used to really like him.

He was one of many that thought they would get good jobs in the administration. Mitt Romney, the big fat guy that was the governor of NJ, Napolitano and so forth.
I thought he was more of a TV judge than anything.

No wonder this ´judge´ came out for some time with the strangest anti Trump interpretations. Every time his mug showed up Fox was switched off.
What the heck did little Napolitano ever do for Trump to expect such a plum appointment!?

Unless you are the President´s younger brother, the surest way not to be appointed a Supreme Court justice is to personally request it. These things always move through third parties. Those conversations are presumptively highly confidential. Neither party should ever discuss it publicly. There is nothing to be gained by embarrassing any candidate for a presidential appointment. Doing it moreover creates a chilling effect on the pool of potential nominees.

For a long time Napolitano has been making it personal against President Trump. When the courts or Mueller ruled in Trumps favor he never admitted he was wrong. I quit watching him , he has not been correct for a while. Comey, Romney ...now the Judge are all sore revengeful losers . If Trump picked anyone it would be Judge Jenine over Andrew N. Fox Nation actually has Judge N on a legal show???

When someone impugns your character on national television, with the voice of some authority (not all who watch Fox are as savvy as we are), you do whatever it takes to deal with them. It is not a petty issue, not something to just make you "teed off", not something to just kiss off or write a note and forget about.
The President does not need our advice on how to conduct himself. Those who give it are presumptuous and sometimes preachy and tiresome.
