Herman Cain has removed himself from consideration for a spot on the Federal Reserve´s board of governors, President Trump said Monday. The former pizza business CEO and presidential candidate had faced a difficult path to formal nomination and confirmation, including opposition from a critical mass of Republican senators. "My friend Herman Cain, a truly wonderful man, has asked me not to nominate him for a seat on the Federal Reserve Board. I will respect his wishes," Trump tweeted. "Herman is a great American who truly loves our Country!" (Video/Tweet) Cain, a former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas

A real shame, and more proof that we really dodge a bullet when Romney lost, no matter how bad the alternative was, we at least now understand that Romney is a Quisling.

Too bad. Who´s in charge in Washington? Sadly, its not Trump. Only the voter can clean up the corruption that is Washington. If it can be done at all. Once again the Republicans snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This is the fault of Republicans. They are in the pockets of big-money just like the Democrats. They aren´t like the Democrats, but they certainly aren´t any better.

Can´t Trump appoint him to some position where idiot Romney and the rest of the backstabbers have nothing to say about it?

I´m sorry you don´t have the backbone to stand up to a worthless politician like little pea brained romney, Herman. I once upon a time voted for that totally shameless excuse for a so-called republican and want PUKE every time I thimk about it. I also used to have a higher regard for the people of Utah.

My heart goes out to fine, intelligent, honest BLACK CONSERVATIVES. As a "White Man" I may be hated and blamed for all the evil in the multi-verse and beyond but Herman Cain is hated by the effing nigras who need him most.
At least my White Supremacist Bowling and Poker buddies have jobs and grandchildren and a couple hundred acres.

Sounds like it could be that racism derailed his nomination.

Responding to Reply #10, Mr Cain did not want to embarass the President by remaining as a candidate and then not being chosen. It has NOTHING to do with HIS BACKBONE. He is protecting the President.

#11 I thought that Steven Moore, and Herman Cain were both considered for two positions, not just one person for one slot. Perhaps I was mistaken.
Guess the crooks of Wall Street won again.
Not to mention the waste of seats in congress that were given to the fake Republicans, Collins and Murkowski. Creepy that Lisa M. is owned by the Demonrats.

I guess with that x-paramour threatening to describe his genitals to the public, this would be a case of "black-male" especially in Herman Cain´s case unless he withdrew his nomination.
The the thing is she was not even that good in.the sack even though he gave her his "999" plan.

I agree with #10. If Mr. Cain doesn´t have the courage to face this, then he should have dropped out.
As for "embarrassing Trump," that´s utterly ridiculous. If the accussations are not true, then there´s no way to embarrass yourself or anyone else. A smear campaign--if it´s based on slander--embarrasses the attackers, not the innocent. Case in point: Kavanaugh.
Good for you, Mr. Cain. The president would be much better off choosing someone with the balls to face these vipers. Obviously, that ain´t you since twice now you´ve folded like a cheap tent!
