Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview Thursday that Republicans need to counter Medicare for All with their own proposal. Cassidy revealed that he continues to work on his own proposal, based on the successful CHIP program, that would allow states to design a healthcare plan that works best for their citizens. Sen. Cassidy, a doctor and one of the Senate’s foremost experts on health care, spoke with Breitbart News regarding his many many proposals to lower healthcare costs, as President Donald Trump recently declared that the Republican party would become the party of health care.

Tort Reform and Sale of Insurance across state lines. Get Government out of the insurance business.

What is it about the Republicans being Democrats but at only 80 percent of the cost?
To #3 I would add:
Transparent pricing, with "retail" and lowest negotiated rate for Medicare/Medicaid procedures made public information.
Emergency rooms required to perform "triage" to refer non-emergency cases, i.e. those involving threats to life and limb, to "urgent care". ERs should be treated like 911 calls - prosecute the abusers.

Again, NOT a legitimate enumerated Federal function. But so is 3/4 of federal operations.

But did he check with any health care actual providers? Probably not. The VA is well run (tongue in cheek).

One more reason we need a second political party as the Pubbies are nothing more than Democrat-Lite...

Trust #3 has read my many posts about the need to set up a clinic or urgent care facility near every emergency room to push all non-emergency care issues to those lower cost facilities.
Was recently at emergency room for my father in-law, but there were many who showed up with infant with temperature, or other non-emergency issues, using emergency services and personnel. Even had 1 guy who came in to get his colostomy bags and seemed to know everyone there. That should not be a function of emergency room health care.
No one in the United States is denied health care. Some may not have insurance, or have Obamacare with HUGE deductible they can´t afford, and likely find themselves using the emergency room anyhow.

This is how the Commiecrats always win. They propose a popular government ´free thing´, run it up the pole and the Pubbies take a shot at it, lest they be called heartless.
After dithering for years, Republicans come back and offer the Commiecrats almost everything they asked for.
A WIN for the RINOs.

As previous posters have observed - -
- - Pubbies are forever falling into demonrat traps - - over and over again.
The best and simplest answer is to get the federal government as far away as is possible from healthcare insurance in this universe.
That´s my version of "universal health care" - - put the government on the other side of the universe.

Cassidy is my other Senator, and he´s a replacement for Mary ´Oink´ Landrieu (thank God for John Kennedy). He is not a real Trump backer, he pushed a plan, almost before he finished swearing in, that would have raised the price of prescription contact lenses and he voted against President Trump wanting to bring our troops out of Syria. That´s why his requests for $$ go unanswered. I don´t trust him.

I still remember the days when we paid the doctor at the time of service. Insurance and government meddling are why health care costs are so high.

See in five minutes common sense at Lucianne has better suggestions for health care reform and health care for all Citizens than the entire city of parasites known as DC. My contribution, that would save at least a couple of billion would be to have one or two ICE agents at the Emergency Urgent Care facilities. Oh, you might get treated, but if you are an illegal criminal, out you go on the next freighter to Panama.

For years I have been giving them a better easier plan and they really don´t care. At least Scott mentioned it as his own idea last week.
