In response to media inquiry and FOIA demands, the government of Australia formally admitted today to the role of High Commissioner Alexander Downer and his engagements with George Papadopoulos in 2016. The timing coincides with the Mueller Report (released today), which states it was information about this engagement from Alexander Downer that opened the FBI counterintelligence investigation in July 2016. The Australian government cited the conclusion of the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation as the background for their willingness to comply with an 15-month-old FOIA request from Buzzfeed News.

Meetings with Comey and Clapper in Australia, previous dealings with Bill Clinton, the eventual framing of George Papadopoulos. Australian Anthony Downer was an active participant.

Brennan and Clapper needed to assist Comey in creating a plausible, yet entirely fake, "intel" as an excuse to assist with the FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign AND to create (not discover) "more evidence" that Trump was colluding with Russians.
The entire operation was a frame up, with CIA reaching out to various CIA allies and assets to create this narrative out of NOTHING. Papadopoulos was a patsy, fed false information by one person, and then a different person asking about what he knew about the false info he had just been told. When Papadapoulos repeats the story he was told, it is treated as intelligence and echoed back (as planned) by the Aussie asset. Seems possible that the Aussie may possibly have been unaware that this was a setup, not actual intel.
Clapper and Brennan need to be in prison. And so do those who made up pretty much the entire upper tier of the FBI under The Zero.

Formal, and official, confirmation of foreign involvement in campaign to "take out" a political opponent.
Clapper, Brennan and a whole bunch may want to start reviewing where they want to stand, and many likely looking for a lawyer to cut a deal to avoid being branded with treason or espionage.

Speaking of Spygate, remember this firm: Crowdstrike, who helped the DNC hide the source of their hack from the FBI (who never accessed the equipment), just got this in my email -- if I was a hotelier, I might go to find out what NOT to do.

Looks like the High Commissioner participated in an attempted coup. That makes him an enemy combatant. He should be declared to be such and a formal apology from Australia should be requested. Requesting his extradition for trial should be the final step. Let our friends know that if they wish to remain our friends, they must not allow their citizens, however high and lofty their titles, to participate in acts of war against us.
