College Students Demand Removal Of Thomas Jefferson Statue Representing A ´Legacy Of Racism And Bigotry´

Original Article

The good folks over at Campus Reform report that leftist students at Hofstra University are demanding the college´s administration take down a statue of founding father Thomas Jefferson because the statue represents a "legacy of racism and bigotry on college campuses." Campus Correspondent Sergei Kelley reports that Hofstra students held a second annual "Jefferson Has Gotta Go!" event on Friday. In addition to demanding that Jefferson´s statue be torn down due to his slave-holding past, the group that gathered sought to ´´expose the culture of bias and discrimination" found on college campuses. Who exactly put on this event?

Comments:

Its WAY past time for a college administrator to stand up to these bossy little snots and tell them "NO!!" And if they continue to vandalize the statue, pack up their dorm rooms because they are IMMEDIATELY expelled if they are caught, convicted or confess!!

Name a country with a "legacy" they prefer.
Then have them pack their bags and move there. Now. No waiting to graduate.

They surrender their US citizenship and passports. Scram. Get out.

Proving their propagandized brains and arrogance, they assume authority to make moral pronouncements and condemnations on things which the greatest Republic has dealt with and which it continues to strive toward, indeed "a more perfect Union."

Time for the adults to set down and maintain the rules. Add expulsion to the list of penalties.

Gads what imbeciles.

..:Wonder if they’re aware one of the patron saints of the Democrats, JFK, said of Nobel laureates in 1962, “...this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone. Someone once said that Thomas Jefferson was a gentleman of 32 who could calculate an eclipse, survey an estate, tie an artery, plan an edifice, try a cause, break a horse, and dance the minuet.”

The intolerance and idiocy of these little historicist flowers would be ironically funny if it weren’t so lethal.

I wonder if these twits are familiar with the Molasses Triangle and the complicity of the Northern colonies in the slave trade. It went like this: Molasses from the Caribbean was shipped to New England where it was distilled into rum. The profits from the sale of the rum went to Africa to buy slaves. The slaves were shipped to the Caribbean to work the sugar cane plantations where the molasses was produced. Slaves were imported from the Caribbean to the southern colonies to work the tobacco and later cotton plantations.

The entire concept of college appears to have jumped the shark at this point. It’s time to go back to Guild training for skills and crafts, unless one plans to be an engineer or doctor. The “studies” crowd of lefty drone shock troops the current system is turning out has exactly zero value for society.

The problem is that the "people in charge" have lived in their ivory towers of academia for too long, and believe exactly the same as these brain-dead students do!!!!!

Socialism has infected every level of education, and it is the tool that the Marxists are using to destroy our nation!!!!!

Imagine if WW-III breaks out. With the lie-beral mindset of generations of people "educated" in hating this country, our government will surrender faster than France since we will have no young men with the will or ability to fight to save a nation that they have been raised by our education system to hate!!!!!!

It will be up to the old people to fight!!!!!

Few things offend Bernie Sanders as much as people escaping from command-and-control government systems, even minority students whose parents are desperate to get their kids a decent education. The socialist wants to turn George Wallace on his head and not block black children from attending traditional public schools but block them from exiting them for something better. The New York Times the other day wrote a long, devastating report on the then-Burlington, Vt., mayor’s love affair with the Sandinistas in the 1980s. So many decades later, his reflex is the same: If the Sandinistas wouldn’t favor it, he’s not inclined to like it much, either.

A brazen thief stole chemotherapy medication from an Oklahoma City man’s doorstep just minutes after it was delivered, delaying his treatment for brain cancer. James Mills, 43, said his planned round of chemotherapy on Monday would not happen after a hooded suspect swiped the potentially life-saving delivery from his porch on Saturday. “I checked the door and didn’t see the package,” Mills told KFOR. “I double checked and they said it had been delivered. I check the security cameras, and I saw the UPS driver deliver it, then about eight minutes later another individual comes up, grabs it and takes off.”

Spurned Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland — whose chance at a spot on the high court was derailed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — may have a key say on whether President Trump’s financial records are released to the House. Trump’s lawyers on Tuesday appealed a lower court’s decision ordering that the records be released to the House Oversight Committee to the Washington, DC, Circuit Court of Appeals — which Garland heads as chief judge. President Barack Obama nominated Garland to replace Justice Antonin Scalia in 2016 after Scalia’s death. But McConnell refused to even schedule a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee to consider Garland’s nomination,

Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senate on a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote. Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
