Fox News has continued to dominate cable news ratings in the aftermath of the Mueller investigation’s conclusion. Special Report with Bret Baier averaged 2.3 million viewers in total with 364,000 in the key age demographic of 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Group. MSNBC’s breaking coverage of the end of the Mueller probe garnered 1.7 million viewers and nearly a quarter-of-a-million in the key demo, whereas CNN only managed to attract 1 million viewers, but did have 291,000 in the age bracket. Each network altered their coverage for the release of the report. From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. that night, Fox News averaged

Not really much difference between Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC so what´s the big deal. Fox News is being destroyed by the lefty Murdoch sprogs. Lots of fake news now.
Brett Baier could move right over to CNN or MSNBC and be right at home with those democrat communist propagandists.
Big Phony.

I agree with #2. The news component of Fox has steadily moved left. Most of their business coverage is still Conservative.
The volatility of viewer preference should tell the Murdoch boys that they are vulnerable. When they only have a several hundred thousand advantage of a pretty small number compared to the total population, one could extrapolate that the opportunity for a better message is out there.
Someone will figure it out, and take that viewership. Maybe as technology (5G) opens up more platforms.
I, for one, have already cut the cable. I won;t support fake news. I feel betrayed, and have a good memory.

Agree with all the posters above. Many people I know who were regular viewers of Fox News no longer watches that network. In fact, they get their news from the internet where they can find unbiased and unfiltered reporting. I am sick of the manipulation by the media because their beliefs drive their reporting. I am also sick of their condescension and outright disrespect to President Trump. Allowing some radical progressive to spew their hate is not being fair and balanced. It is giving the insane a vehicle in which to voice their outright irrational and unhinged opinions. I would much prefer more hard news and less opinion. It is an insult to have to listen to the lies that are put out there as fact. Fox may lead the rest of the networks but that is no big prize. Americans are fleeing these propaganda outlets because they cannot be trusted. Fox News may be gaining more liberal minded viewers but they are bleeding conservatives who made them what they are today. We regularly view one hour at 8 pm and don’t miss the rest at all. We made the break during the first Fox News debate and haven’t looked back. I am done with Fox News. It is a CNN, MSNBC wanna be.

I am sorry to tell you ´never Fox´ folks but most conservatives do watch Fox. They may pick and choose what they want to see, but most do tune in. Ok, not under 40´s but that is true of most TV watchers. And come national disasters both in nature, culture or politics, most people turn on live TV not the internet. What would make me happy is if one of our conservative billionaires would make a deal with the Murdochs and relive them of ownership of FOX. But still even if a Conservative owned it most of of you non-Fox people would still not agree with who was on there.

So the three biggest cable news networks (the ones constantly referred to as the go to source for news), on the biggest night of the biggest story in recent memory, drew a combined total of 5.5 million viewers out of a population of 300 million plus. Let that sink in for a minute.
Why does anyone really care what those networks do other than the fact that some other news and entertainment outlets use them as sources for their own lazy reporting?
It also begs the question where do most people get their news?

#6 - well I hope youre one of the conservatives who still believes in a free market, because One America News Network is providing fierce competition. Maybe Fox should remember who brought them to the dance????

Thanks, #6. I too am a sporadic Fox watcher and have some favorite pundits and panelists. I continue to believe that Fox is the best we have available right now, but not everyone on it. I´m not sure why some have turned on Brett Baier. I see him continuing to correct a guest´s or a panelist´s misinformation. He doesn´t let the Dems simply repeat their talking points. I like him.

The problem is that the vast majority of voters in the USA pretty much shut out what´s happening in the world, choosing instead to focus on their lives until a presidential election rolls around. That´s why it´s so easy for the rabidly radical element, aided and abetted by the MSM, to control public opinion amongst those indoctrinated by public schooling with carefully crafted sound bites.

#1, you are very far off base with that comment. I suggest you actually watch each for an hour during a week to get a more informed opinion.
Fox is certainly no longer what it used to be, but is still head and shoulders above the disasters of MSNBC and CNN.
Most of CNN´s "audience" is captive in airports, and not really paying much attention, anyway.

Agree #16. All of the prime time hosts on FOX are far better than CNN or MSNBC. And other than a few bad apples the news people during the day are far less biased on FOX.
