Breaking News: Charges dropped against Jussie Smollett

Original Article

Posted By: Ribicon, 3/26/2019 11:26:55 AM

The charges against Jussie Smollett have been dropped. The Empire actor will appear in court in Chicago on Tuesday for an emergency hearing. Smollett´s lawyers announced the news in a statement where they said he was a ´vilified´ victim. Smollett, 36, was facing up to 48 years behind bars on 16 felony counts of filing a false police report. He was initially indicted by prosecutors with just one charge but a grand jury added another 15 on to it for every time he allegedly lied to police.

That´s nice. Entire article is above.

Anyone believe that this is not the result of Mooch sending her minions to put pressure on the prosecutors? I’d love to know what the threat was.

16 felonies and he walks - who else but a black, homosexual Marxist could get away with that?

CNBC has a slightly longer story. Local charges have been dropped. Federal charges (related to the threatening mail sent to the "Empire" production studio) are still alive.

NY Post says he will surrender his $10,000 bond and perform community service. Doesn´t begin to cover the cost of the investigation, nor the hate aimed against the greater body of "redneck" Trump supporters this chump maligned with his fake hate crime. No punishment? Stage more fake crimes, enact transformative change. Thanks, Obama.

Of course. “The Chicago way”.

America ... PLEASE never vote for this level of leftist corruption and divisiveness again from places like Chicago. We MUST politically quarantine corrupt places — so the rest of us, good Americans all, black white Latino Asian and otherwise, can get along in peace, prosperity, and harmony.

NY Daily News: His attorneys confirmed that all criminal charges were dropped Tuesday in a statement saying Smollett’s “record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him.” “Jussie was attacked by two people he was unable to identify on January 29," reads the statement from Tina Glandian and Patricia Brown Holmes. "He was a victim who was vilified and made to appear as a perpetrator as a result of false and inappropriate remarks made to the public causing an inappropriate rush to judgement.”

He hired the guys to do a fake attack, complete with a "noose," yet he´s the victim because he´s a gay black man (with all the rights and privileges thereof).

If they didn´t have their corruption, they´d have nothing left at all.

Corrupt, through and through. This guy should have spent time in jail and gotten a felony record for this crime.

Oops, sorry. Hit the wrong button in my zeal to post.

Well, the Chicago Mob is back in force. Disposes of two birds with one stone (not a conspiracy theory--imho). First, this FOO (friend of former president O) could not be held to account--that wouldn´t be prudent. Second, Mueller isn´t working out like the Left planned, so with this they will wipe Mueller off the front page/headline news/breaking news, and Adam Schiff-ty is safe for another day or week.

These people never do anything without politics involved. Check the bank accounts of all those involved.

MAGA!!! KAG!!! Another proof of the two tiers justice system.

Did he give evidence against his attorney Geragos, the un-indicted co-conspirator in the Nike case, in return for Smollett´s 16 federal charges being dropped? Curiouser and curiouser.

More likely Jussie´s friends, the Obama´s, called in a "Chicago" favor and got the charges dropped.

If it got any legal attention, once the fraud was discovered I think we all know where the perp would be right now. Hint; it´s a big strong building with iron bars.

It would have been a waste of Illinois taxpayer money to prosecute the idiot. After spending all that money, he would have gotten a slap on the wrist and become a folk hero to the racists.

Federal penalty is more than state penalty. Jussie has jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

It is, however, another stain on Chicago politics. It is also a stain on the people who elect the Chicago politicians. If they want to live in a septic tank, let them have at it!

The attorney is not named. But Mark Geragos has been previously identified as Jussie Smollett´s lawyer.

Probably not a good day to have Geragos stand up to announce your exoneration, given that he is likely the unindicted co-conspirator in the Avenetti Nike extortion affair.

Also not a good day to be Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, who thought it would be a good idea to have a press conference instead of a trial. And thanks in part to Johnson´s moronic press conference and self-serving political posturing, that´s all we´re going to get by way of justice in this case.

But if Geragos is involved, you can be assured that is not all the perp is going to get. Smollett is about to be paid a substantial sum of money by the city of Chicago thanks to the incompetence of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who appointed Johnson despite the fact that he was neither recommended by the Police Board nor applied for the job, and the Chicago city council, who confirmed Johnson in the position 50-0.

FTA: "Chicago Police chiefs, who were confident in their evidence against Smollett, are ´furious´ about the decision, according to sources cited by TMZ."

So, still too stupid to shut up after all of this.

Affirmative Action in action.

Look at it this way, the Chicago government infrastructure is corrupt and will always be corrupt. If Jussie had been jailed it would have been in a luxury condo like JJ Jr. had and the taxpayers would have financed his drugs, cable and gourmet diet. We know he´s guilty and will probably never work again in the entertainment industry. OJ "got off" but he was hated forever afterwards. That´s probably punishment enough for somebody who bathes himself in the light of public adoration. My one hope is that this travesty can be traced back to the kenyan disgrace and his linebacker lover, which would put a dent in their bargain basement book sales.

Absolutely outrageous,!!!!! And proof once again that there are different levels of justice. Smollett checks all the boxes: a "celebrity" with all sorts off celeb. backing, Gay, Black and, most of all, anti Trump! No wonder Trump was elected and may be re-elected........it is obvious to all the rest of us that this democracy, where all are treated equally, is more equal for some than others! And he is the only candidate who actually, boorish and brash as he may be at times, understands this and is FOR equal justice for all. Others may mouth it, but their actions speak volumes.

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is worth $37billion (£28billion) and flies to 370 destinations on six continents with state-of-the-art aircraft. Truly, it’s a titan of aviation. But it started life as a crop-dusting outfit in 1924. And when it expanded to passenger transportation it used planes that could only hit 90mph, with the wind behind them. Delta has been on quite a journey, then—and these fascinating pictures illustrate the carrier’s dramatic transformation over the decades. Here’s a revealing — and disturbing — new poll that bears on the current gang fight among leftists for the soul of the Democratic Party and its 2020 presidential nomination. See Also: ESPN chief: You’ll never guess what our viewers want to hear nothing about Almost half of Americans in a new Gallup Poll believe that socialism would be a good thing for the United States to have. Almost half (43 percent). A good thing. Democrats like Bernie Sanders driving that party to the left may be on to something for a winning theme in next year’s vote. Today, a bare majority (51 percent) says socialism would

There’s no longer any way to avoid it: “Something strange is going on at Fox News.” “Something strange is going on at Fox News. Something very strange,” President Donald Trump told a throng of thousands at his Pennsylvania rally last night. “The audience showed their agreement by booing Fox News.” (The Blaze, May 21, 2019) According to the Blaze "President Donald Trump
Jerry Nadler’s cynical, cowardly show 19 replies

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-NY, accused the White House of "intimidating" former White House Counselor Don McGahn from testifying on Capitol Hill and said it was becoming "more and more difficult" to not consider President Trump's impeachment on Monday night. Nadler told CNN anchor Chris Cuomo that his committee will hold McGahn "in contempt" for not complying with the subpoena and will take the battle to court. "You are dealing with a lawless president who is willing to go to any lengths to prevent testimony that might implicate him, that does implicate him," Nadler said. Nadler expressed that Trump's "lawless behavior"

The U.S. Postal Service on Tuesday started a two-week test transporting mail across three Southwestern states using self-driving trucks, a step forward in the effort to commercialize autonomous vehicle technology for hauling freight. San Diego-based startup TuSimple said its self-driving trucks will begin hauling mail between USPS facilities in Phoenix and Dallas to see how the nascent technology might improve delivery times and costs. A safety driver will sit behind the wheel to intervene if necessary and an engineer will ride in the passenger seat. If successful, it would mark an achievement for the autonomous driving industry and a possible

There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
