Barbra Streisand says Michael Jackson’s accusers were ‘thrilled to be there’ and his ‘sexual needs were his sexual needs’

Barbra Streisand is under fire for comments she made about two men accusing Michael Jackson of sexually assaulting them as children. The legendary singer and actress said that Wade Robson and James Safechuck — whose allegations against the late King of Pop resurfaced in the recent documentary “Leaving Neverland" — “were thrilled to be there” and that what allegedly happened to them “didn’t kill them." Streisand, 76, made the strange comments to British newspaper The Times in a piece out Friday, in which she also said that Jackson’s “sexual needs were his sexual needs.”

There it is, that inevitable leftist attitude that pedophilia is just another sexual orientation. When you have no morality, every deviancy becomes acceptable.

No, its more along the lines of; "Michael had talent. He had value. Who are these schmucks? Nobodies. Michael was an elite, like me. Schmucks should just go and die, if they don´t like it."

The frog has yet to notice the rising water temperature...

50 years ago homosexuality was a scandal and a mental disorder... today it is a badge of courage.

I see no reason for anyone who is OK with infanticide to draw any kind of line ANYWHERE when it comes to sexual gratification. After all, abortion alone is pretty much saying that sexual gratification is more important than the life of another.

Once you erase the lines that SHOULD exist, you also remove any justification for the line being redrawn with any form of authority.

If it is OK to marry someone of your own sex and socially acceptable to be promiscuous, the lines of historic moral norms have ceased to exist. The line is now a gray smear and it is hard to tell where it should be redrawn or even IF it is to be redrawn.

In 20 years, if we are on this same trajectory, pedophilia will be north of the slightly greasy gray smudge that has been losing its importance with each passing year.

Still, it makes me wonder whether she thought they were talking about Michael Jackson or Harvey Weinstein (of whose victims she could say the same things).

The kids may have been “thrilled to be there” at Neverland, and their parents certainly aided and abetted by pushing them into Jackson’s orbit. That doesn’t mean that what Jackson got them there for, what he did to them, was OK. He lured with his celebrity and a fantastical place as a bad guy on the street might lure with candy. The parents sacrificed their children to him.

The rest is ancient Barbra trying to sound like a free spirit from the flower child past. Disgusting,

She must be seeking publicity because these sentiments are too vile and stupid for the popular press to completely ignore and Streisand may know very little but she knows that much. Yes, the parents were guilty of naivety and neglect owing to being as starstruck as their children but Jackson was a criminal of the lowest and most despicable kind. Streisand does herself and her name no favors in finding humanity in a cold blooded predator of children.

How many of the parents of these boys got paid off handsomely for basically renting their kids to Jackson? That is something that needs to be examined as well. Ar those parents so star struck that they will allow predation of their own kids? Apparently so.

Pedophilia and the casting couch has gone on in Hollywood since the starting of the business. Shirley Temple´s mom was painted as a horrible stage mom because she would not allow her precious child to be left alone with those animals. She took the blows so Shirley wouldn´t have to. There have been just enough stories nibbling at the edges of this cesspool scandal that I expect it to explode in a big way at some point in the future. Scandals can only stay hidden for so long before the wall collapses under the weight.

I think Barbra makes an interesting point about the role of the parents. Some parents are besotted by celebrities, and are more than happy to indulge their children beyond reasonable levels of indulgence. It´s foolish parenting. Certainly in the case of Michael Jackson, mothers should have known better.

Australia’s dysfunctional, unpopular, conservative government (the Liberal and National parties, currently in coalition, sit on the right in Australian politics) held onto power for a third term in Saturday’s national election. This happened despite the fact that most analysts expected it to lose a large number of seats; despite being (seemingly) out of step with the nation’s emerging consensus on climate change, marriage equality, religion, and race; despite a chaotic tenure in office that has seen three leaders since 2016; despite a threadbare

Later this week, voters across Europe go to the polls to vote in EU parliamentary elections that could deliver a quarter or more of the seats to the continent's right-wing populists and nationalists. Meanwhile, exit polls in India suggest that Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist party will win re-election when results are announced on May 23. Rat-infested piles of rotting garbage left uncollected by the city of Los Angeles, even after promises to clean it up, are fueling concerns about a new epidemic after last year's record number of flea-borne typhus cases. Even the city's most notorious trash pile, located between downtown LA's busy Fashion and Produce districts, continues to be a magnet for rats after it was cleaned up months ago. The rodents can carry typhus-infected fleas, which can spread the disease to humans through bacteria rubbed into the eyes or cuts and scrapes on the skin, resulting in severe flu-like symptoms.

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. Democratic leaders in Congress proved the perils of “jumping the shark” this month. The phrase comes from the 1977 episode of the television comedy “Happy Days” in which one of its leading characters, the “Fonz,” jumped over a shark in a water skiing stunt in swim trunks along with his signature leather jacket. That moment was viewed as a desperate ratings stunt by a dying television series struggling to keep viewers engaged. Today, the phrase has come to define similar instances of desperation. With the many overhyped political moments of the last two years, it is not clear when the partisan shark jump occurred. Soon after the appointment of special counsel

See Also: ESPN chief: You’ll never guess what our viewers want to hear nothing about Almost half of Americans in a new Gallup Poll believe that socialism would be a good thing for the United States to have. Almost half (43 percent). A good thing. Democrats like Bernie Sanders driving that party to the left may be on to something for a winning theme in next year’s vote. Today, a bare majority (51 percent) says socialism would

There’s no longer any way to avoid it: “Something strange is going on at Fox News.” “Something strange is going on at Fox News. Something very strange,” President Donald Trump told a throng of thousands at his Pennsylvania rally last night. “The audience showed their agreement by booing Fox News.” (The Blaze, May 21, 2019) According to the Blaze "President Donald Trump

So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-NY, accused the White House of "intimidating" former White House Counselor Don McGahn from testifying on Capitol Hill and said it was becoming "more and more difficult" to not consider President Trump's impeachment on Monday night. Nadler told CNN anchor Chris Cuomo that his committee will hold McGahn "in contempt" for not complying with the subpoena and will take the battle to court. "You are dealing with a lawless president who is willing to go to any lengths to prevent testimony that might implicate him, that does implicate him," Nadler said. Nadler expressed that Trump's "lawless behavior"

The U.S. Postal Service on Tuesday started a two-week test transporting mail across three Southwestern states using self-driving trucks, a step forward in the effort to commercialize autonomous vehicle technology for hauling freight. San Diego-based startup TuSimple said its self-driving trucks will begin hauling mail between USPS facilities in Phoenix and Dallas to see how the nascent technology might improve delivery times and costs. A safety driver will sit behind the wheel to intervene if necessary and an engineer will ride in the passenger seat. If successful, it would mark an achievement for the autonomous driving industry and a possible

There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
