New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday that NYC´s public schools will be going vegetarian one day per week in order to save the Earth. (Video) Local New York media reports that the "Meatless Mondays" pilot program, which brought vegetarian meals to around 15 Brooklyn schools, will expand city-wide for the 2019-2020 school year, and "all schools will serve vegetarian menus on Mondays" to the city´s 1.1 million students. De Blasio told a press conference Monday that the change will help improve the health of New York´s students, and will hopefully have an impact on climate change. “Cutting

I guess announcing a meatless Friday, during Lent, wouldn´t have been politically correct.

For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t want any ‘meat’ served in a school cafeteria so maybe this is a good thing? LOL

Good, less demand for meat means the price goes down and I can buy and eat more meat. Guess idiot DeBlasio never thought about basic economics.

This is great! AOC´s GND just implies it, now we have a real life example of the progressives taking away meat. Great 2020 campaign material!

Sounds about right; we already have bookless education to save the trees; faithless churches to keep from bringing up sin or salvation and mostly we have uncivil civilization and unaccountable accountability to poison brother against brother and neighbor against neighbor. Maybe Warren Wilhelm will run for higher office and waltz us right on into the Promised Land that FDR missed by miles.

If this jackass really wanted to curb greenhouse gasses he´d shut his insipid salami hole.
How is "meatless Mondays" in NYC going to reduce end-o´-the-world gas attacks? The cows don´t live in Manhattan and couldn´t care less who´s eating them and the kids (being kids) will continue to fart as much and often as they can -- maybe a little more with such menu items as whole grain rotini pasta with herbed marinara sauce.

Fabulous! Genius!
Keep the kids small and scrawny. That will reduce their carbon footprint - - by making them exhale less and live much shorter lives.
Wow! How come we´re not smart enough to think of stuff like that? Hail Comrade Wilhelm!

I think that’s great! The earth is now saved, and the people doing the heavy lifting are the children whose future earth it is.
Let the little children sacrifice for the earth they love so much! It’s the only one they have after all.
Great idea, freak.

Meatless Monday, so good to me

Oh Meatless Monday, Meatless Monday couldn´t guarantee
That Monday evenin´ you would still eat meat with me
Every other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But when Meatless Monday comes, but when meatless Monday comes
A-you can find me cryin´ all of the time
(With apologies to the Mamas and the Papas)

Would this idiot care to explan how this will ‘save the earth’? If it saves a year we only have 11 left according to their esteemed socialist representative. Or could it be that they are going bankrupt and what better place to start the pain than with school children?

Why does a city´s mayor have the power to dictate what children eat? Are the schools under his umbrella? The residents of NYC should rectify this immediately, but they are all idiots there.

This is so ridiculous it´s not even funny. This is really about paying off the vegeburger lobby for all of the campaign donations. Now it´s going to be taco Tuesday to take care of the tortilla lobby. Let´s not forget fish on Friday for those Catholic fishermen paying to play.

Must be de Blasio is following AOC´s instructions on not eating meat. He thought to make the day on Friday, but that´s a Catholic thing so he decided on Monday. Then he thought about a pork free day as a boon to muzzies than thought that would rile up the rest of the city. So again, it was meat on Monday.
