Why do Republicans stick with Donald Trump? It’s a question I’m asked again and again by Democrats, “Never Trumpers,” and journalists. But the answer is simple. Attitude and gratitude. For years, Republican voters wanted someone — anyone — to come along and do two things: stick it to the Clintons and punch back against the media-Democratic Party alliance that fires on every Republican brave enough to stick a head out of the foxhole. (Snip)For finally bringing them to heel, alone, the president has earned the forever gratitude of virtually every Republican. The rest hardly matters. Jared’s security clearance? National emergency? Stormy Daniels? Please.

Or perhaps because the alternative as evidenced by the current 2020 field of Demo-Commie candidates is too horrible to imagine.

You may not personally care for him but what other sane choice is there? We don´t need lectures or a moral compass from some social do gooder. . We need sound economic policies, secure borders and a foreign policy that puts Americas needs first. There is no one else that comes close to espousing these traits. Trump is yucky is not a platform to base a winning campaign if you´re older than 12.

There is also the fact that the Republican rank & file will disembowel them if they try any funny stuff. The plan is very clear. Impeach Trump in the House and hand it over to McConnell. He goes to the WH and threatens defection of 20 RINOs and conviction in the Senate. Check mate! It is up to us to have the President´s back. Next few months are going to be tough.

The article was interesting. The comments were , to be nice, vile. They attack We, the People that voted for him and at the same time make excuses as to why Hillary lost.

It isn´t the Republicans that will vote for our President in 2020, it´s patriotic Americans that will. The GOPe and the RINOs don´t give a rip and I would bet AH´s like the Post Turtle McConnell probably voted for the Butcher of Benghazi verses our President Trump.
And how can the communists in the demented party talk about a child´s life as they are being taken away from their illegal alien invaders parents when they just voted, with celebration, to MURDER a new born baby?

I held my nose and pulled the lever for Trump in 2016 for one simple reason. The alternative was unthinkable and a known corrupt harpy. Trump has exceeded my wildest expectations. Trump is the first Republican to actually, from soup to nuts, govern as a conservative. So, thats why I still support Trump.
The comments section was dismal. Apparently, they all still believe that we are not only racists, but complete idiots for supporting Trump. I´m no longer going to waste my time trying to change their minds. Ive reached a point where Im happy to silently sit back while the entire democrat apparatus continues to demean the deplorables. The deplorables remember and we vote.

Because I am tired of being told how awful America is by the Democrats and liberals. For eight years, we had a president who was ashamed of his own country and expected everyone to fall in line with his thinking. We also had to feel shamed for being who we are as individuals.
I won´t back down anymore on speaking up!

As Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is third in line, not McConnell.

Fine article but with one glaring omission. Trump’s trump card is his roaring economy.

"still" back Trump? HA!
My support for Trump grows stronger every time these insane leftist thugs make up another lie against him.
His policies are wonderful, the best in a generation or more, and he resists the Enemedia and the Deep State coup plotters. All wonderful, grand things.

I like our President very much. Not a groupie of anyone (never was, never will be), never saw his TV program, knew little about him. Liked what he envisioned, his courage, his gumption. He is goal driven but his feet are not stuck in concrete. If something doesn’t work or is shot down, he has another vision … He is authentic. WYSIWYG. Smart as a whip, in my estimation. And street smart. Doesn’t mind being underestimated; that is an advantage in a negotiation.
I am quite willing to stay on board for a full 8 years. He has had to overcome huge obstacles. Compared to President Trump, Obie’s sojourn in the White House was a breeze.

President Trump is not perfect. I was not happy when he capitulated to Nasty Nancy Pelosi in the recent government shutdown.
But, in the end, what are our freakin´ alternatives?!?!?!?!? A bunch of spineless, cajoness-less, RINO Republi-can´ts, or a bunch of evil, socialist Demon-rats?!?!?!?!?
President Trump can´t get everything he wants thanks to the spineless, cajoness-less Republi-cant´s in Congress!!!!! But at least he is trying!!!!! We haven´t had a Republican president since Ronald Reagan who did that!!!!!
So, yes, we are sticking with him!!!!! Deal with it you idiots in the MSM!!!!!!

Cuomo´s answer: Legalize prostitution, legalize mary jane to keep the population dumber than a door nail by lowering their IQ (what IQ they have), no need to post bail for ´low level´ crimes like porn and pedophilia. That´s the real demonrat party. No perversion or lawlessness is enough for them.

FTA: His campaign had sent the message Republicans wanted to hear — I take crap from no one. Everyone on this primary ballot will show their belly, he said in effect; I will show them my fists.
On why evangelicals support him: He’s a sinner, but at least he respects our pastors, doesn’t make fun of our beliefs and fights for the babies who can’t defend themselves against Ralph Northam and Andrew Cuomo. We didn’t hire a barbarian to sing soprano in the choir; we hired him to beat back the savages.
EXACTLY!!

In politics, the fundamental question is always, "compared to what?"
In 2016, it was Trump compared to Clinton. A lot of Republicans are very happy they chose Trump.
