Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus’s 12 Apostles.
In the Garden of Gethsemane the night before Jesus's crucifixion, Judas betrayed Jesus to the Sanhedrin who eventually arrested Jesus.
Jesus predicted this betrayal during the Last Supper. In exchange for his treachery, Judas received thirty pieces of silver. Could he have also been threatened? Who knows? The Bible says nothing about that.
Modern day betrayals, particularly of leaders, occur via carrot or stick, reward or kompromat.
For Judas, the price was a pocket of silver coins. For members of Congress, the price may be a do-nothing board seat, a cable news gig, or stock options worth millions.

When I first starting writing for Breitbart.com way back in its first year, I was urged by my editors to make sure I carefully researched and documented any information in my columns. I would often insert the verifying link of the videos or newspaper resources to support the charges I asserted in the piece. At that time, I had full confidence in the videos I used as proof that supported the claims I was writing about.
It is now 2024 and I have found that thanks to the technical advances in media manipulation, nothing is credible anymore. I have already written about the danger of AI (artificial intelligence)

The case was being investigated as arson.

IDF tanks are entering Rafah after rocket strikes were launched on the city in Gaza just hours after hopes that a ceasefire deal with Hamas had been reached were dismissed by Israel.
The strikes left at least five people dead, according to Rafah's Kuwaiti hospital, which added that several more were injured. The area is currently the site of intense Israeli military strike activity, according to witnesses and Palestinian security sources.
Israel has vowed to launch a vast ground operation in Rafah, which UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned would be 'intolerable'.
Pro-Hamas student protesters at George Washington University are now openly calling for the beheading of the school president and members of the board of trustees.
They allowed this situation to go on for too long and now it’s completely out of control.
As you’ll see in the video below, these students are actually chanting ‘Guillotine, Guillotine!’

José Raúl Mulino, a last-minute conservative candidate in Panama’s 2024 presidential race, was elected in Sunday’s general election with a nearly ten percent lead over his closest rival.
Mulino, a 64-year-old lawyer and former minister of security in the country, campaigned on implementing a crackdown on migration by “closing” the dangerous Darien Gap jungle trail that Panama shares with Colombia, which thousands of migrants from South America and other regions use to reach the United States. Mulino has also vowed to improve Panama’s economy. The now president-elect ran as a stand-in candidate for former President Ricardo Martinelli (2009-2014), who was banned from running for a new term after local courts

There has been a pro-Palestinian encampment on MIT's campus for the past two weeks. This afternoon, MIT's President Sally Kornbluth posted a statement announcing that the camp will have to come to a close. She gave protesters until 2:30 pm today to vacate the camp. Kornbluth cited several reasons including the safety of protesters, the unfairness of allowing them to dominate the public space and evidence that outside forces were pushing for escalation.
The war in the Middle East continues to cause anguish and conflict here at MIT. Some have expressed their views through the encampment on the Kresge lawn. My team and I, as well as many faculty members, have
PRO-Palestine protesters have sparked all-out fury after massing near the grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp during a Holocaust remembrance march.
Demonstrators today rolled out Palestine flags and hoisted balloons as crowds gathered to remember Holocaust victims at the March of the Living in Poland. Police sirens wailed as protesters held "Stop genocide in Gaza" banners directed at groups donning Israeli flags.
Witnesses reported that some of them were also "chanting" at march participants, to which Israelis answered with passages from the Jewish unity anthem "'Am Israel chai".
Former Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade said Sunday that his extramarital affair with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was “as American as apple pie.”
Wade told ABC News that “workplace romances” like his relationship with Willis “happens to everyone” in his first interview since his resignation from working on the Georgia election interference case against presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in March. “Workplace romances are as American as apple pie,” Wade told ABC News’ Linsey Davis. “It happens to everyone."
Men are abandoning the Democratic Party, and people are beginning to notice.
This weekend, President Donald Trump’s super PAC Make America Great Again released an ad targeting black men in rural Georgia. It features a white, professionally dressed woman working a phone bank for President Joe Biden who talks to a male voice whose owner we never see. Here is the script:
WHITE WOMAN: Hello, I’m with the Biden campaign.
MALE VOICE: Yeah, yeah, I voted for Biden last time.
WHITE WOMAN: That’s fantastic.
MALE VOICE: Is it? Everything costs more: food, gas, rent. WHITE WOMAN: OK, but Biden’s helping pay rent for “newcomers” to America from around the world.
MALE VOICE: You mean illegal immigrants?
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen last week warned that “threats to democracy” will imperil U.S. economic growth. Yellen’s admonishment is a less-than-veiled finger wag at former President Donald Trump and anyone who would dare question the official lie that the 2020 election was “one of the most secure elections in history.”
The real threat to the economy is Joe Biden, his buffoonish treasury secretary, and the rest of the capitalism-crushing useful idiots in this dangerous administration. As Democrat Party public-relations firm the Associated Press reported, Yellen used “economic data” in her address Friday in Arizona to “paint a picture of how disregard for America’s democratic processes and institutions can cause
A report from Colorado Newsline indicates the Democrat sponsor of Colorado’s “assault weapons” ban legislation plans to kill her own bill.
According to the report, State Sen. Julie Gonzales (D) said she plans to ask for the bill to be removed from consideration on Tuesday during a committee hearing.
Colorado’s legislative session ends Wednesday, and it appears Gonzales does not believe that that provides the time needed to work on the bill.
She said, “After thoughtful conversations with my Senate colleagues, I decided that more conversations need to take place outside of the pressure cooker of the Capitol during the last weeks of the legislative session.”

missing graduation after she was arrested, suspended replies
An Arizona State University senior who was arrested and suspended after trespassing during an anti-Israel protest broke down in tears over missing graduation as a consequence of her actions.
“I’m being restricted from a lot of things right now that I didn’t expect to be for standing up for something I believe in,” Breanna Brocker told ABC15 as she choked up.
“You know I have family coming in who I have to let them know not come to my graduation ceremonies.”
She tearfully added: “I’m just disappointed. I’m a 2020 high school grad, so I wasn’t able to walk then.
Sane-minded people who felt a sense of despair after seeing how the pro-Hamas college protests were playing out early on at places like Columbia University and UCLA were heartened in late April when the University of Florida issued a no-nonsense response to the "outrage" that ensued from the arrest of some campus agitators.
As RedState reported at the time, the statement released by U of F school spokesman Steve Orlando confirmed that they were not a daycare center and that if their rules were not followed, then consequences would follow.
"This is not complicated: The University of Florida is not a daycare, and we do not treat protesters like children
A group of federal judges has announced a boycott of Columbia University, citing concerns over the institution’s handling of recent campus disruptions and allegations of fostering anti-semitism.
The judges, who hire law clerks annually, expressed their loss of confidence in Columbia University following the aftermath of the October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas.
The university, once renowned for its academic excellence, has now been labeled by the judges as ground zero “for the explosion of student disruptions, antisemitism, and hatred for diverse viewpoints.”
In a letter addressed to Columbia University President Minouche Shafik, the judges expressed their dissatisfaction with the university’s handling of recent campus events.
Bronx politicians are ripping Gov. Kathy Hochul after she asserted that some black children in the borough don’t know what the word “computer” means.
Hochul, speaking at an on-stage forum in California Monday, stuck her foot in her mouth while trying to explain how she wants to create a diverse workforce in new areas like artificial intelligence.
“Right now we have, you know, young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is,” Gov. Kathy Hochul blabbered into a microphone Monday.
“They don’t know, they don’t know these things. And I want the world opened up to all of them,” she continued.
A group of Republican senators has issued a stern warning to Karim Khan, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), over potential arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials.
The proposed warrants are reportedly connected to allegations of war crimes during the recent Israeli-Hamas conflict.
The ICC, headquartered in The Hague, is said to be nearing the decision despite Israel’s non-membership and non-recognition of the court. Since the Palestinian territories were admitted as a member state in 2015, the ICC has asserted jurisdiction over alleged war crimes committed by both Hamas and Israeli forces in Gaza.

Then the cadets had to deal with Joe Biden, who looked ancient and spoke for only about five minutes.
President Joe Biden hosted Hispanic powerbrokers and a few celebs at a Cinco de Mayo party in the Rose Garden that featured margaritas, mariachi music, and slams on his unnamed 'predecessor' Donald Trump.
The president cheered the contributions of Mexican Americans, twice mentioning that he has a bust of Cesar Chavez in the Oval Office, while blasting Trump's plans to deport millions of illegal immigrants.
'We are a nation of immigrants and we shouldn't forget it,' he said. He defended new rules for expanding health care access to so-called 'Dreamers' who came to the country illegally as children. He also renewed his demand that Congress act to give them permanent status.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) became the first elite institution to scrap diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) statements from its faculty hiring process. On Sunday, the school confirmed to UnHerd that it was removing a requirement that mandated all prospective faculty submit a diversity, equity and inclusion statement during the hiring process. A university spokesperson told Fox News Digital that "requests for a statement on diversity will no longer be part of applications for any faculty positions at MIT" and added that the decision was made by the school’s president, Sally Kornbluth, with the support of the Provost, Chancellor, and all six academic deans.
It is no secret that far left Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff uses sleazy tactics to go after his political opponents. While most members of Congress usually skate on ethics charges, or receive light penalties, once in a great while their behavior is so overtly criminal that they end up prosecuted. Although Democrats are far more likely to use lawfare against Republicans than vice versa, when the behavior is so criminal, even Democrats — such as New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez who is being prosecuted for bribery — can’t escape justice.
Schiff is getting dangerously close to this stage. When he became chair of the House Intelligence Committee in 2019,
