Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) failed to concede to Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) after a two-hour meeting Monday in which the duo continued pressing for Johnson to resign and end his coalition government with Democrats.
Greene told reporters after the meeting that she and Massie “had a very long discussion with Speaker Johnson. We’ll be meeting with him again tomorrow based on the discussion.and then I’ll have more information. WATCH — Greene: Speaker Johnson Stabbing GOP Voters In the Back, He Needs a “Pink Slip”:” (Video)

What a disappointment Johnson has been!! If we wanted Democrats to be in charge, we would elected those liberals. Pubbies should definitely do some soul searching if they want us to put them in charge again.

Someone, somewhere has the talent and the access and the courage to release to the public all the dirt that keeps these people bound to the State.
Please let this happen soon...

This wayward Republican, who replaced another wayward Republican, was installed by a whole passel of wayward Republicans to put him there, and now most the wayward Republicans can't stand him either. The problem is not Democrats.

#1, as they say: Fool me once, shame on them ... The r's never keeping a promise is their modus operandi. They say what it takes to get elected and after being seated they immediately ignore campaign promises and go to their money grubbing before it runs out. Easy to understand instance is Repeal and Replace.

I remain convinced that no Republican who is a patriotic American, uncorrupted, and a fierce fighter would EVER have a chance to be chosen as Squeaker of the Hoes. But on the left, there are relentless, vicious, hyper-partisan maniacs like Gagool (Pelosi).

It would be nice if our elected (cough, choke) representatives were more concerned about the state of our country than about their personal position on the political ladder.

I hope there is a move to vacate the Speaker. The votes will show the names of the Republicans again voting with the Democrats. MTG is correct. We have gotten nothing from this Republican House. The reality is that Jeffries and Schumer control the Congress, which is nothing more than a rubber stamp for Democrat policies. Republicans aren't allowed to debate, add amendments, mostly only rubber stamping Democrat bills they have not even read.

I remember how Johnson became Speaker after the last one was removed. The votes went on for two weeks with no agreement, then out of nowhere comes someone most people never heard of, and he becomes Speaker. It always smelled fishy. Guess it was. These impeachment hearings are probably all for show. That's what Congress is, first and foremost, a show. In the end, the uniparty will still in charge, but they made sure it was not obvious by selecting someone nobody knew.

Republicans including many on this site need to let their intellect reign over their emotion. They need to understand that having a one vote majority in the House and not holding the Senate or the Presidency is not a position of power. They need to understand that in an election year with a leftist democrat press who will never tell the truth, you cannot get everything that you want by shutting down the government and then still not getting what they want is a losing proposition. They need to understand that cutting your nose off to spite your face as they say is not a good strategy (MTG).

Apparently Speaker Johnson has been taking notes on the ridiculous situation in the Texas House of Representatives where"Republican" (RINO) Dade Phelan controls the speakership with the help of Democrats. Phelan gives Democrats committee chairs, and in return Democrats help keep him in power. Horrible situation for a 57% majority.

with this vote, we shall see the sheep separated from the goats; the wheat from the chaff. that's all.
the hidden evils shall be revealed, but the honest will not be harmed.
