(snip) She was sued to recover defaulted credit card debt just a couple of months ago: (snip) Francesca Hong was diagnosed with 1) bipolar disease, 2) had a mental breakdown, 3) was placed in psychiatric hospitalization, 4) did self-harm by cutting, and 5) experienced a lithium overdose. A former University of Michigan medical center employee will receive $410,000 in a settlement after the hospital illegally terminated her for refusing to use preferred pronouns and refer patients for transgender drugs or surgeries. As part of the settlement, University of Michigan Health-West must also implement a religious accommodations policy, according to First Liberty, the legal group representing Valerie Kloosterman. Under the policy, employees cannot be forced to use pronouns or to participate in gender transition treatments if doing so would contradict their religious beliefs.

Hunter Biden claimed under oath earlier this year that he's so broke he doesn't even own a car or a cellphone, and said his family is too strapped for cash to help him pay off millions in unpaid legal bills. The former first son painted a bleak picture of his own and of Biden family finances during a Feb. 9 deposition in his legal battle with powerhouse law firm Winston Taylor, which sued Biden in June 2025 for allegedly stiffing the firm out of $17 million accrued from representing Biden in federal criminal cases, congressional investigations, and defamation lawsuits Biden brought against his enemies.

A Wisconsin brewery known for anti-Trump social media posts, including one promising a free beer promotion upon the death of President Donald Trump, has had its permit to operate in the state revoked by state officials. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Monday that liberal activist and brewery owner Kirk Bangstad is "vowing to fight ‘tooth and nail’ after receiving a letter from the state's Department of Revenue revoking Minocqua Brewing Co.'s permit to operate in Wisconsin, according to a July 26 newsletter sent to his supporters."

Many have wondered how Anthony Fauci could have been so foolish as to keep a personal diary, fail to destroy it, and then produce it to a Senate committee. It looks like the answer is…he didn’t: Miranda Devine @mirandadevine How the Fauci diaries were discovered. It was thanks to the doggedness of @SecKennedy who wrote an excellent book in 2021 "The Real Anthony Fauci" which stands the test of time. "It took us about 8 months to dig these out of 11 separate servers where they had been sequestered and secreted." There needs to be more of this drive for accountability across the administration.

One of the things that is perplexing and often a topic of conversation is this new American-Western European alliance or absorption of Islam and Marxism-socialism-communism. In other words, people who identify as radical Muslims, often in their alliance, include people who are traditional Western Marxists, and it doesn’t seem possible for a variety of ways. There’s a lot of antitheses. Do we really believe that these upscale people in blue enclaves in the United States who declare themselves socialist and are voting for people like Zohran Mamdani, or Ilhan Omar, or Rashida Tlaib, who are proud, and active, and often fervent Muslims, tolerate gays?

As many as 60,000 illegal migrants from Africa have swarmed the Spanish territory of Ceuta after Spain’s Supreme Court ruled migrants intercepted at sea while trying to reach the area cannot be kicked out. The ruling issued earlier this month — which applies to the Spanish autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla — said the migrants cannot be expelled under the territories’ special border-rejection regime. Migrants climbed over border fences or swam to the territory’s shores. At least 34 people died trying to enter Ceuta.

With the rise of the Mamdani-style communists has come a widespread narrative that the sudden rise of more openly radical politicians means the Democrats of the last few years or decades are somehow moderate. Depending on who’s telling the story, it’s a harrowing tale about Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries trying to stave off the DSA Marxists; or the “far left” floundering because it doesn’t have its own Fox News; or the party needing a storybook journey home to the moderation of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. These are all tall tales, of course. Schumer and Jeffries are engaged in a power struggle, but it’s an intramural contest among fellow radicals.
