Don't Forget How Florida Defeated Faucism

Anthony Fauci, the public health bureaucrat who became the face of America's botched COVID-19 response, testified this week on Capitol Hill. Except Fauci actually didn't testify: In an astonishing act of hubris and disdain for the countless Americans who bore the brunt of tyrannical COVID-era "Faucism," the mad doctor invoked the Fifth Amendment well over 100 times. It's an unprecedented defiance of congressional will for a man who has already received a sweeping presidential pardon. Congress would do well to vote to hold Fauci in contempt. Wednesday's intense senatorial standoff followed Sen. Rand Paul's (R-KY) earlier release of damning excerpts of Fauci's diary.

Governor Ron DeSantis did an excellent job. I also remember Biden and Fauci doing everything they could to block Florida from getting alternative antiviral medicines. Democrats are evil.

One thing was clear - Fauci's lawyer doesn't think his pardon is worth the paper it was written on and autopen signed.

The Fall of the ACLU 4 replies

Pop culture can linger longer than many news headlines. Take the 1981 TV movie Skokie. Danny Kaye starred as a Jewish Holocaust survivor protesting a planned Nazi march in his Chicago suburb. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) played a central role in the fact-based drama, defending the Nazis’ free speech rights despite their abhorrent views. That’s what the American Civil Liberties Union did for decades—stand tall for the First Amendment. That Kaye drama made it crystal clear, even to those who never read a story tied to the civil rights group. That ACLU, bold and unrelenting in its quest to preserve free speech, is mostly missing these days.

You know when the lefties have received their anti-Trump talking points because they all emerge at the same time, guns ablazing, to pile onto the president about something no one else cares about (or maybe even supports). Even if what they're told to be mad about actually happened weeks ago. Of course, no one ever accused the left of being quick on the uptake. This is what seems to be happening this week with the issue of "DEI bike lanes." That's a phrase used by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy back on July 7 when announcing a new Department of Transportation project to redirect—

Cleese posted July 30 in response to an X poll about his possible motives, “I'm not a racist. I'm a culturalist[.] I believe some cultures are superior to others.” He went on, “For example, I prefer cultures that do not encourage wife beating, paedophilia, clitorectomies, stoning and constant inflation of the male ego[.] I am also aware of the difference between Islamoscepticism and Islamophobia.” He ended with a point that he has probably had to make many times to his former friends and colleagues: “Notice that hate does not come into this. Only moral preferences.” Unfortunately, most Western celebrities have become incapable of moral distinctions.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman vowed to undo Gov. Kathy Hochul’s “oppressive” and “reckless” pied-à-terre tax if elected – as it was revealed the Big Apple plans to hire dozens of employees just to process the new fee. Blakeman, who’s currently serving as the elected Nassau County executive, issued a dire warning Thursday saying state Democratic Party policies will drive more New Yorkers out of the city, which already carries a 12.5% local tax burden, the third highest in the country. “This reckless tax will drive even more families, jobs, and investment out of our state, and middle-class New Yorkers will pay the price,” Blakeman said.

With the rise of the Mamdani-style communists has come a widespread narrative that the sudden rise of more openly radical politicians means the Democrats of the last few years or decades are somehow moderate. Depending on who’s telling the story, it’s a harrowing tale about Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries trying to stave off the DSA Marxists; or the “far left” floundering because it doesn’t have its own Fox News; or the party needing a storybook journey home to the moderation of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. These are all tall tales, of course. Schumer and Jeffries are engaged in a power struggle, but it’s an intramural contest among fellow radicals.

Journalist Mark Halperin is not impressed with the mainstream media’s coverage of Dr. Fauci this week. You might even say he is disgusted. Halperin talked about it with two guests on his 2Way program and although he mentioned several news outlets, he really saved his anger for Brian Stelter of CNN, who made sure to write about how ‘MAGA media’ was treating the story. It is truly remarkable, the way that Fauci became such a celebrity among members of the media and they’re still showing their devotion to him today. Halperin also points out how the Fauci coverage mirrors the way the media treated Joe Biden and the cover-up of his mental acuity.

Iowa and Missouri are suing New York over its Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program, arguing it's an "unconstitutional attempt to regulate businesses, consumers and individuals beyond [New York’s] borders." Fox News on Wednesday published an op-ed from Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway, arguing that the law imposes civil and criminal obligations on out-of-state producers and distributors, "even if the connection to the state is extremely remote or hypothetical." The Center for Individual Rights is representing Iowa, Missouri and the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce in the lawsuit, which was filed in May with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

America stands at a crossroads that will define her power for generations on end. The choice is clear: build the foundations for artificial intelligence (AI) dominance or surrender the future to those who already race ahead. President Donald J. Trump has chosen the path of strength. Last summer, he signed an executive order which accelerates federal approval for data centers that demand more than 100 megawatts. This unlocks loans, grants, and tax incentives while stripping away Biden-Harris mandates that layered red tape onto energy projects. Agencies must cut fat, use existing exemptions, speed reviews under proven frameworks, and open suitable federal lands.

Former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox recently dropped his bid for the Republican candidate for governor. The highly unpopular Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is the likely Democratic candidate running for governor after being term-limited as Secretary of State. Jocelyn Benson, who the Gateway Pundit frequently refers to as “America’s most dishonest Secretary of State,” is familiar with lawsuits. Benson has been involved in 69 election-related lawsuits during her time as Secretary of State. That is more than the combined total of the previous four Secretaries of State.

My previous essay examined the parallels between Communism/Socialism and Twelver Shia violence. But to be clear, violence is the currency of all Islam, full stop. Despite claims to the contrary, almost no one converts to Islam (or becomes Commie/Socialist) absent coercion of one form or another. The Twelvers were highlighted because of the current situation with Iran and the homicidal Blues Brothers rulers itching to get their grubby fingers on the nuclear button.1 2 Another feature of the Mohammunist Manifesto is wealth redistribution, i.e., the predatory taking of property from some and giving it to others. What a cowardly and shameful final chapter for Dr. Anthony Fauci, who pleaded the Fifth 111 times in the Senate Wednesday even though he has a pre-emptive presidential pardon that gives him immunity from prosecution. In the history of Congress, only a couple of mob bosses have invoked the privilege more. “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights, under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution,” the Machiavellian career bureaucrat said over and over in the nearly three-hour hearing before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. But Fauci’s silence rendered him a villain more powerfully than his usual sly deceptions. Shameful, too,

The issue of illegal aliens being detained while awaiting their transport out of the country is destined to eventually hit the Supreme Court.Several courts of appeal have split on the issue of whether illegal aliens can be detained during processing out of the country with some saying yes and some saying, no. The Nineth Circuit Court of Appeals weighed in today and also said no, with a rather goofy and odd reason in their opinion. [Court Ruling Here] The 9th CCA doesn’t like the term “illegal alien” so they use the politically correct term, “unadmitted aliens” to describe non-Americans who are in the country illegally.

The courts will decide whether the last-minute, blanket pardon that the autopen gave Anthony Fauci (Doctor Death) allows him to legitimately invoke the Fifth Amendment. Next week, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will hold a vote on a contempt resolution against him. While the legal complexities unfold, this is self-evident: Fauci is beneath contempt. During his testimony before the same committee today, Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), had the temerity to claim that Dr. Death saved lives. Another nearly 9 percent of respondents remained undecided. Moreover, the statewide poll of likely voters notes it has a margin of error of four points, meaning Stevens and Rogers are essentially tied in the hypothetical Senate race. “This race is a toss-up,” the Glengariff Group noted in their survey.

Democrats lead Republicans on the generic ballot by 8 points among registered voters, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Democrats also continue to hold a significant advantage in voter enthusiasm and have a 20-point advantage in preferences among those who say they are extremely motivated to vote. More Americans say the country would be better off (38%) than worse off (33%) if Democrats were to take control of Congress this November, with 29% saying it wouldn’t make a difference.

Well, well, well. There it is. Even if it is clouded in Reuters News doublespeak and coded language, the answer to the big question about why Zelenskyy fired the most effective military leader is right there. The key words are, “military procurement system”; or in common language “military spending.” It never made sense; the 35-year-old Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, was heralded as turning the tide of the war in favor of Ukraine through his adaption of technology, specifically drones, and his very close relationship to Alex Karp of Palantir, a military contractor. Fedorov was young, smart, strategic and exceptionally capable. Yet, Zelenskyy fired him.
