Did Zohran Mamdani call for an insurrection?

On January 6, 2021, President Trump stated, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” The Democrats later tried to imprison Trump and ban him from the presidency forever over language they contended was tantamount to a call for insurrection against the federal government. Interestingly, they don’t have the same standard for a mayor who’s issuing a similar call for people to protest a visiting head of state. Apparently, only some (i.e., Democrat) politicians are allowed to call for citizens to speak out.

Yep! The Leftist Double Standard raises it's head once again. There are a whole family of words and phrases that 'favored' groups can use, but regular Straight White Conservatives are punished for using. The first one that comes to mind is 'the Enword', which urban blacks use freely including in the lyrics of songs and 'raps', but which a White person is severely punished- for using the same word. Free Speech be damned.

The German chancellor, Friedrich Merz, vowed to punish those responsible after a car struck people on the outskirts of Berlin’s Gay Pride celebrations, killing at least one person and wounding 16 others. The attack on Saturday night forced organisers to cut short one of Europe’s largest Pride events and comes as Germany remains on edge after a series of deadly vehicle and knife attacks in recent years. Police said those hurt “included several with life-threatening injuries”. They called on everyone to leave the event, one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations, immediately, in a post on X.

With all the hustle and bustle leading up to Friday evening's White House Correspondents' Dinner, a major court ruling on illegal immigrants and education appears to have mostly flown under the radar - and it's a big win for all Americans. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker was dealt a major legal blow Friday after a federal judge gutted key state laws providing in-state tuition, financial aid and scholarships to illegal immigrants, marking another win for the Trump administration's nationwide immigration agenda.

President Donald Trump finally got to deliver his first White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech as president Friday night, three months after a gunman brought the original event to a terrifying halt. Trump mixed a tribute to law enforcement with an extended roast of the press, Democrats, and celebrities. He capped it by pulling out a red “Trump 2028” hat and joking that he planned to run for a fourth term. The rescheduled dinner was held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., with heightened security and a smaller guest list. The April 25 event at the Washington Hilton ended after an armed man charged a security checkpoint

Working on the VIP post this morning about the continuous problem at the Southern California border, I ran across a Steve Hilton video addressing it, and it made me wonder how his campaign was going. I have to be honest and say I hadn't paid much attention to it lately. Like the savvy guy he is, he is firing on all cylinders, and it is not hurting his case in any way, shape, or form that Xavier Becerra, his Democratic opponent, is confirming his reputation for denseness and being a bit of a dolt. For instance, Becerra's in hot water with Latino restaurant owners for recent comments

My colleague David Zimmer dug into the data to assess the success of President Trump’s immigration policies. He found them to be very successful, indeed: There has been a concerted effort by “open immigration” advocates, “anti-Trumpers,” and a supportive legacy media, to portray the immigration enforcement efforts of the Trump administration in the poorest light possible. Many detractors have virtually ignored the success the Trump administration has had at securing the border, while others have suggested the administration has not held to its “stated goal” of focusing on the “worst of the worst.” A common tactic has been to use selective data and narrow parameters
Nuremberg Trial For Trump? 7 replies

We have followed the sad descent of Tucker Carlson into madness. Here, he accuses President Trump and the entire Republican Party (except for Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie, now gone from the party) of treason. He wants them subjected to Nuremberg-style show trials. Why? It has something to do with Israel. As best I can reconstruct it, some tinfoil hat types are saying that the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2027 provides for a merger of U.S. and Israeli intelligence. That seems to be what Carlson is talking about, as he refers to “merge them formally.” Here it is:

Washington — President Trump on Friday ordered federal officials to install signs outside the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History that correct what he says is "inaccurate" information presented by the institution about American history. Mr. Trump's directive cited a 162-page White House report released on July 4 that accused the museum of adopting "an ideological framework that no longer treats the American story as a shared national inheritance to be taught or celebrated, but as a political instrument to divide, dispirit, and discourage our citizens." The report, titled "Saving America's Story," demonstrates that Smithsonian leadership views "American history as a 'prime tool' to advance ideas of social justice

The move follows Sherrill’s announcement on Tuesday that thousands of noncitizens had been added to New Jersey voter rolls, with 400 individuals casting ballots. Later that day, the DOJ requested the names, addresses, nationalities, and registration locations of the 6,600 non-citizens who were marked as voters, even though they identified themselves as noncitizens. The scorching heat waves plaguing the U.K. and Europe this summer are primarily driven by a recent reduction in air pollution, according to a new study conducted by the Met Office — the U.K.’s climate change and national weather service — in conjunction with Spanish researchers. Europe has warmed at twice the rate of the rest of the world since the 1980’s, resulting in deadly heatwaves that environmental activists and politicians have attributed to carbon emissions. But according to the study, the opposite is true: Much of the increase in temperature can be attributed to Europe’s recent success in reducing

President Donald Trump has threatened that the US would destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant any time its forces attack a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Potential targets would include ones "located next to, or in," the capital Tehran, he said in a post on Truth Social. The military response would follow any form of attack on shipping in the vital waterway, "whether it be by missile, rocket, drone, or any other device or weapon". His threat follows the US launching strikes on Iran for the 11th consecutive night, with Tehran warning the US against targeting its nuclear facilities.

Democrats are apprehensive that Republicans’ massive outside spending advantage could erase the prospects of a blue wave heading into the midterms. The three main GOP party committees and their two caucus-aligned super PACs reported $657 million cash on hand at the end of June, according to the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission. That’s nearly double the $334 million held by their Democratic rivals. And those disparities don’t even account for the largest potential GOP money bomb, the MAGA Inc. super PAC linked to President Donald Trump, which reported over $400 million in the bank as of a few weeks ago. Democrats have no equivalent to MAGA Inc.

Twenty-five states, with the help of a Department of Homeland Security database, have identified hundreds of thousands of dead people and noncitizens registered to vote, and they haven’t finished counting yet. So far, just 10 states—including key battlegrounds Georgia and North Carolina—have fully processed the voter data through the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements, or SAVE, database. SAVE is primarily used by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to verify eligibility for government benefits. The Trump administration made it available to states to cross-reference voter registration data.
