French President Emmanuel Macron said his country was willing to engage in a “shooting war” with the U.S. earlier this year, according to a report.
The Wall Street Journal reported this week that Macron made the decision earlier this year after American forces carried out a precision strike in Venezuela that led to the arrest of former dictator Nicolas Maduro.

The USA's World Cup dream came to an end in Seattle as Belgium cruised into the last eight with a 4-1 victory; Charles De Ketelaere scored twice in the first half, while Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku added further goals after the break to book a quarter-final meeting with Spain. The PR circus surrounding FIFA's decision to rescind Folarin Balogun's red card and Donald Trump's involvement in the supposedly independent process had dominated the headlines ahead of the last-16 clash in Seattle. However, it appeared only to galvanise Belgium as they thrashed USA 4-1 to book a quarter-final with Spain.

There aren’t many political mysteries from 2016 that still have the power to set the internet on fire like the unsolved murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich. The official theory is that the 27-year-old was shot near his D.C. home during a botched robbery. His family has rejected all claims that he was somehow connected to WikiLeaks or murdered because of his work at the DNC, and they’ve asked people not to politicize their son’s death.
But the questions never went away, mostly because so many details surrounding the case are
But then Julian Assange entered the chat, and things got a lot more curious…

BANGOR, Maine — Maine author Stephen King appears to be standing behind Graham Platner, even as the Senate candidate faces allegations of sexual assault and growing calls to end his campaign. Posting on 'X' shortly after POLITICO published testimony from a Maine woman who accused Platner of assaulting her in 2021, the prolific horror writer wrote "Graham Platner may drop out. I hope he doesn't, but." King then went on to reference President Donald Trump, and the numerous sexual misconduct allegations he has faced over the years, calling him the "Abuser in Chief." President Trump has consistently denied several public allegations

"Warning: The exhibits in this museum were prepared by people who don't want you to love your country." (snip) Yet Anthea Hartig, director of the museum today, has other priorities, including using history as a "prime tool of social justice."
Hartig is white, but rather than punishing herself for her "privilege," she's trying to lay a guilt trip on the whole country, using taxpayer dollars to "problematize" the history she's supposed to preserve.
(snip) can the public trust that responsibility to someone like Hartig, who claims to have been "propped up ... by the cushions of whiteness and the pillows of the bourgeoisie"?

Somali American and Muslim community members in Minnesota are raising concerns about safety and Islamophobia after President Donald Trump posted a video showing children at a St. Paul kindergarten graduation ceremony, including several young girls wearing hijabs.
The 14-second clip, originally taken from a livestream of a graduation ceremony at Gateway STEM Academy, a public charter school in St. Paul, appeared on Trump's Truth Social account without a caption. While the president did not add commentary, Somali Minnesotans and Muslim advocacy organizations say the repost amplified online narratives targeting Minnesota's Somali and Muslim communities and has left families concerned about the safety of children and schools.

It took less time than we would have imagined, but proponents of the “billionaire wealth tax” have already given the game away.
Anyone who knows any history about taxes knows that the left always uses “tax the rich” as a cover to raise taxes on the middle class. Because, as Willy Sutton observed in another context, that’s where the money is.
But we were surprised to see Rep. Ro Khanna admit as much, even before he and his socialist pals get their coveted wealth tax on the boards.
“The tax should not stop at billionaires,” he wrote on his Substack. “The tax has to reach all fortunes $50 million and up.”

In a statement this morning, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear requests an official update on Sen. Mitch McConnell's health.
Gov. Beshear is sharing a direct request to Sen. McConnell amid growing concerns over the limited communication with the public about his health and his ability to serve. Sen. McConnell was reportedly hospitalized June 14. “Over the last several weeks, Kentuckians have grown increasingly concerned about the health and well-being of Sen. McConnell. As Governor – and a fellow public official who understands the commitment we’ve made to the people we serve – I am requesting the Senator provide an update on his current health status,” said Gov. Beshear. “Allowing speculation to continue

The big Oil Companies are not dropping their price at the pump commensurate with the sharply lower prices they are paying for Oil. Those prices are dropping like a rock! In other words, customers are being ‘gouged.’ I have instructed the DOJ to immediately start looking into this. Gasoline prices better start going down a lot faster than what I’m seeing!”
That was President Donald Trump on June 24 in a post on Truth Social, stating he had ordered the Justice Department to investigate alleged price gouging at the gas pump, noting oil prices are falling faster than gasoline. The implication is there might be illegal price collusion.

An Inspector General audit of the Minority Business Development Agency’s flagship program found that 96 percent of the reviewed transactions should not have been approved, revealing a stunning lack of oversight at the now-defunct agency and raising questions about what will happen if Democrats revive the program.
The November 2025 audit, which has not been previously reported, reviewed $16 billion in transactions approved by the MBDA business center program, a network of federally funded consultancies, public and private, aimed at supporting minority-owned businesses, which had to be at least 51 percent minority-owned to qualify for services. The audit found that $15.4 billion of the $16 billion in transactions reviewed

A mom of three claimed she was thrown out of a UK supermarket after a male security guard said that her backless top could encourage someone to untie it.
Alixe Galatis, 31, said she was stopped while trying to shop at a Tesco store in Essex, southeast England, with her three children on June 26, when temperatures in the UK reached 99 degrees Fahrenheit amid the country’s heat wave.
The mom of three said she was told she couldn’t enter because of her backless top, which featured thin straps tied at the back,
