Right about the time Drudge Report splashed a link to Jonathan Chait's latest column across its homepage, I got a g-chat from a Democratic strategist: "This is a big deal," he wrote. "My gut tells me it elevates this story to something bigger and more needing of her response. I think this might take away the chance of this ordeal being seen as a partisan witch hunt." The story in question is, of course, the revelation that Clinton Foundation donations and Clinton family speaking fees may have influenced Hillary Clinton's actions as Secretary of State -- which, if true, would be an extraordinary conflict of interest. This is a 10 year old article. Unless there have been some shocking new developments it was dead in the water. If we ever have a global nuclear war, all that will survive will be cockroaches, the Clintons and the Obamas.

A Midtown high-rise was evacuated Tuesday morning after massive beams inside the under-construction building started buckling — sending some floors caving in and bricks raining down under the crushing strain. The 38-story commercial building at 235 East 42nd Street was cleared around 8:11 a.m. after construction workers spotted two faulty support beams bending and starting to give way on the 21st and 22nd floors, according to the NYPD and FDNY. Fire officials said floors between the 21st and 26th floors were sagging from the pressure.

FACT: It has been over 60-years since Canada purchased a submarine. FACT: Canada has never built one. FACT: Currently the Canadian military have ONE operable submarine out of a fleet of four used ones previously purchased. FACT: Canada recently proclaimed themselves as the North American defender of the Arctic. Now, put all those facts in the overlay of the December 2024 meeting in Mar-a-Lago between President Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. President Trump was demanding that Trudeau increase their NATO spending and develop a working Canadian military.

Both Toyota and Honda had previously warned the Canadian government that without the USMCA they would shift production from Canada to the U.S. to avoid tariffs and secure long-term manufacturing stability. We presume a similar message was conveyed to MexicoEarlier today Toyota announced they were moving half of their Tacoma Truck production from Mexico to an expanded facility in Texas that will now encompass 5 million square feet in San Antonio. (Bloomberg) — Toyota Motor Corp. is moving production of its popular Tacoma midsize truck from a plant in Mexico to San Antonio as part of a $3.6 billion investment in the Texas facility.

Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, and Kirk’s parents, Robert and Kathryn Kirk, are expected to attend the week-long hearing, marking the first time they have been in the courtroom for any of Robinson’s legal proceedings. The Utah County Attorney’s Office says it will seek the death penalty if Robinson is convicted on that charge.

Like him or despise him, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani is a good politician. He’s young, charismatic, and has a high-wattage smile. This is why after passing a $126 billion “balanced” city budget, he can get away with saying things such as, “Socialists just solved years of Capitalist mismanagement.” He elaborated further on this theme: Throughout this process I have been reminded of the words of the Austrian economist, Friedrich Hayek, ‘if socialists understood economics, they wouldn’t be socialists,’” said Mr. Mamdani,(snip) Being that this is a pretty arrogant statement, it’s worth asking what, exactly, has Mamdani done that would allow him to pretend that passing a budget —

The Roberts Court just handed down a majority birthplace citizenship decision on the legal level of Dred Scott and Roe v. Wade. No judge who calls himself an originalist, textualist, or in any way claims dedication to American rule of law could support the 5-4 majority in Trump v. Barbara. As the dissents and much other scholarly work show plainly and definitively, the 14th Amendment simply does not say that anyone who happens to be born on U.S. soil thereby magically becomes a U.S. citizen. “Subject to the jurisdiction thereof” means “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” It’s not legally or verbally complicated.

"One of the things that we clearly have to have is we need a constitutional amendment, because only a constitutional amendment can bind the Congress to return to fiscal sanity and sustainability," Walker said last week on the Just the News, No Noise TV show.

As we've been reporting, most Americans are all-in, celebrating and enjoying America 250. We recognize the great gift we have been given with this nation and the principles it espouses. But even as celebrations are ongoing, you see folks on the left going all-in to attack it because of their Trump hatred or their hatred of America in general. We saw the Mayor of New York City deliver an ugly speech, for example. That was taken down with pointed responses from people like Elon Musk and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. But if there was a real sign of how far the Democrats have gone off the leftist cliff,

Senator Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized for three weeks. His wife, Elaine Chao, appeared in China just days after his hospitalization to meet with high-ranking Chinese officials. The trip was planned before Mitch’s hospitalization. Desiree Townsend, an independent journalist who works on Capitol Hill, expressed concerns about national security. “If Senator McConnell has been unable to independently perform his duties, what safeguards exist to ensure classified intelligence briefings, defense appropriations information, or other sensitive congressional matters could not be accessed, discussed, or shared by individuals operating behind the scenes? And given the timing of Chao’s meeting with China’s vice president, what exactly was discussed?"

The heat was Frank-ly unbearable. A semi-truck leaked a whopping 40,000 pounds of sticky Frank’s RedHot sauce onto an Ohio highway amid a brutal heatwave last week. The truck carrying loads of the popular condiment began leaking while traveling north on Interstate 71 in Delaware County on Thursday, leaving a trail of the spicy sauce on the roadbed before its driver realized, the Columbus Dispatch reported. The driver eventually pulled into a truck stop as fire crews followed the trail of the bright-red mystery fluid to find its source. “Our crews were out on the highway trying to track it down and actually were able to follow the trail to the Pilot,”

Students will no longer be able to take out federal loans to pay for degree programs that fail to provide them a return on investment, thanks to a new federal policy that went into effect on July 1. And it’s about time. It’s a response to a shocking fact: Graduates of more than 800 college programs across the country — including at institutions like the University of South California and New York City’s New School — make less than the average high-school grad four years after getting a degree, despite all that time, effort and tuition money. Now the American government will have no part in propping up degree programs
