Full disclosure: I have very little knowledge of the game of soccer, and only a mild jingoistic interest in it when Team USA wins in its international competitions. Until the past week, I couldn't tell a red card from a red wedding, except that the howls of fury for the former easily exceeded those of the latter. My biggest takeaway from futbol is that LeBron James learned his ref-manipulating flops from the best in the business.
With all of that said, however, even I have caught a mild case of World Cup fever, as the American men's team has delivered a surprisingly dominant performance – so far.

Graham Platner, the scandal-plagued progressive military veteran, said Monday he is reflecting on the best path forward for his Maine Senate campaign after another allegation of sexual misconduct was raised against the troubled Democrat.
Platner’s announcement comes after he canceled several events over the July 4 weekend as rumors spread that a “very damaging allegation” would be coming out against the already troubled candidate.
On Monday, Politico reported on allegations made by Platner’s former girlfriend that he “forced

Now that the Democratic Socialists of America are sweeping into power and beginning to displace the Organized Crime Democrats as the key leaders of the Democratic Party, some elements of the Pravda Media are working hard to claim that the DSA is not filled with communists.
It's true that there are people who call themselves "socialists" who are not, at least precisely, communists. The DSA used to work hard to keep the communist revolutionaries out of the party. But first, that was decades ago, before the revolutionary communists swamped the people who liked the Nordic model of the 60s and 70s (which they gave up decades ago, denationalizing industries

Despite the severe weather delays, despite the Democrats being downers, the America 250 celebration for the Fourth of July was one heck of an event.
The threat of severe weather delayed it, and they even had to make people leave for their own safety. But, as we reported, President Donald Trump said they would make it, and they did, putting on an amazing celebration. “For 250 years, the United States of America has been the hope, the promise, the light, and the glory among all of the nations of the world, all over the world. They try and be like us. Nobody can be like us,”

Flames erupted on the Brooklyn Bridge as fireworks were being shot from it during Macy’s July 4 display over the East River.
Video shows a plume of smoke emerging from a flaming section of the bridge as fireworks soar and burst around it Saturday night. Two other sections also appeared to burn as the pyrotechnics were being shot from the span.
“At first I thought it was supposed to happen but then I was scared it would exploded. I thought the bridge was made of wood so I was scared,” said Nearing Khoula, 24, from France, who was watching the display from the Brooklyn waterfront.

Speaking at Mount Rushmore on Friday to commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation, President Donald Trump sounded the alarm: “As we approach this magnificent anniversary, we see our American identity under a renewed attack.” He observed that “a generation after we fought and won the Cold War against the menace of communism, there is now a resurgence of the communist menace in our land, including from newcomers to our country who embrace ideas totally opposed to our way of life and our great success.”
There was no doubt whatsoever that what he was saying was true, and that thirty-five years after the end of the Cold War,

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Thousands of patriotic San Antonians lined the downtown streets near the historic Alamo to witness the Stars & Stripes Independence Day Parade despite temperatures expected to near triple digits on Saturday. The parade featured traditional Fourth of July floats, Military Bands, and some Tex-Mex performances, adding to the patriotic displays.
Breitbart Texas attended the event promoted by the city as the Stars & Stripes on Houston Street Independence Day Parade aimed at celebrating America’s 250th birthday. The parade was launched in 2024 as a major Fourth of July Parade after an absence of more than a century.

New York's communist mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has regularly revealed himself to be a real piece of... work. He's abysmally ill-informed, and he appears to harbor a lot of hate for a country that took him in, making it something of a mystery as to why he left his wealthy family's expansive Uganda compound. Unless, of course, you assume that gaining control of one of America's largest cities was the goal all along.
Now, on Friday, the day before we celebrated 250 years of American liberty, Mayor Mamdani took the opportunity to trash America, and to add insult to injury, we see that the commie mayor did so from behind a desk

President Donald Trump ushered in the 250th anniversary of American independence on Friday with soaring rhetoric about American exceptionalism before veering into a darkly political speech with warnings about a sinister threat of communism that evoked one of the country's ugliest chapters.
"Communism is a mortal threat to American liberty," he said from Mount Rushmore. "It is the greatest threat to our country, including World War I, World War II, Pearl Harbor or even 9/11."//snip//Indeed, Trump's language evoked the Red Scare of the 1950s, when alleged communists

The America 250 event at Mount Rushmore had some weather delays in the program because there was a giant hailstorm. I'm not sure that's what they meant when they sing "Hail to the Chief."
But then it did finally clear up for President Donald Trump's arrival, and here are some of the highlights. Let's hear from our Mount Rushmore presidents. Check out this flyover of Mount Rushmore - Trump in the new Air Force One. Then he buzzed the folks at Mount Rushmore in Marine One, and they loved it. Trump spoke about what it means to be an American and the greatness of our country.

President Donald Trump rang in America's 250th birthday celebrations with a 28-minute speech at Mount Rushmore and a fireworks display that might have rivaled his words. "The American dream still lives, and the American flag still flies more proudly than ever before over the people who will not quit," Trump said at the end of his lengthy — albeit shorter than his usual hours-long — speech. "The nation that will not fail, the country that will not fall no matter how hard the enemy tries, we cannot be beaten."
As Trump spoke, across the world, Iranians buried Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at funeral ceremonies with calls for revenge on the U.S.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani delivered a stinging rebuke of the Trump administration in a speech marking America's 250th birthday.
The mayor also spoke of the importance of immigrants, and discussed American exceptional.
He was surrounded by recently naturalized citizens and sat behind the George Washington desk at City Hall. Mamdani himself is also a naturalized citizen, and the topic is important to him personally. He arrived in the U.S. from Uganda
