The United States has chosen not to renew its trade agreement with Canada and Mexico, senior administration officials confirmed on July 1. “In accordance with the Agreement, the United States, Mexico, and Canada met virtually today to discuss the operation of the USMCA,” U.S. Representative Jamieson Greer said in a statement, referring to the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement. “The United States did not agree to renew the USMCA in its current form. As a result, the USMCA is not renewed.”

What is proposed below is regulatory, lawful and entirely intended to create hardships and burdens. Thus, a new era in State Department visa requirements respond to newly established guidelines by the Supreme Court. As a pragmatic and patriotic American I respectfully suggest and recommend the U.S. State Department immediately institute the “Roberts Requirement” following similar visa entry protocols previously used for COVID-19 tests prior to U.S. admittance. The Roberts Requirement: Each female visa applicant must present a valid negative pregnancy test taken no longer than 10 days prior to travel to the United States. The certified document, negative pregnancy test, together with all related visa approvals must be presented to

The formula was sinister and simple. Trump announces a new immigration policy. That cues progressive activist groups to race to court and file a lawsuit. A friendly federal activist judge somewhere in California, Hawaii, or D.C. slaps an injunction on the policy, and just like that, everything grinds to a screeching halt. The left is hoping that months drag on and turn into years, letting the lawsuits pile up, and hopefully the policy dies a slow, lonely death before the American people ever get to see if it works. This was the Left’s weaponized political strategy, and for a while, it worked. It stalled Trump’s agenda

Multiple countries have proposed ‘digital service taxes’ which are taxes on the domestic use of American tech platforms like META, Twitter, Amazon etc. EU countries are planning to tax U.S. based tech platforms for the revenues generated by operations within EU countries. President Trump announces retaliatory action via reciprocity taxes, in essence leveraging the entirety of the U.S. consumer market, if the EU proceed with this new tax revenue scheme against U.S. companies. Canada was on the cusp of a digital services tax last year when Trump made a similar announcement forcing Canada to abandon the plan.

LOS ANGELES -- A mistrial was declared Friday in the arson case against Jonathan Rinderknecht, the man accused of setting what eventually became the Palisades Fire. Prosecutors said they will try again. The judge declared the mistrial after a jury on Thursday said that they could not reach a verdict in 29-year-old Rinderknecht's trial on three federal charges: arson, malicious destruction by means of fire and timber set aflame. The deadlock was 10 jurors set on a not guilty verdict and 2 jurors determined to convict.

Charlie Kirk's accused assassin, Tyler Robinson, can still face the potential death penalty if convicted of aggravated murder, a Utah judge ruled Friday. Judge Tony Graf Jr. found Deputy Utah County Attorney Christopher Ballard was in contempt of a court order for statements he made about his opinion on the strength of evidence in the case — but he was not wrong for making other statements in which he disputed a misleading characterization about specific ballistic evidence from a defense court filing. As a result, Graf denied Robinson's argument that the appropriate remedy would be to remove the potential death penalty — and instead he said he would expand the jury selection

Given the ridiculous way Obama and Biden defined crisis, the ruling appears to have removed legal obstacles blocking Trump and Rubio from ending the temporary protected status for immigrants from 13 countries, including Venezuela, Honduras and Afghanistan. Get rid of all of them. Illegal migrants do not have constitutional protection.

The Supreme Court is expected to rule Tuesday in Trump v. Barbara, a high-stakes challenge to President Donald Trump's 2025 executive order that seeks to restrict automatic birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment for children of illegal immigrants and temporary visa holders. In the event the court rules against Trump, a number of Congressional Republicans have legislation pending that could practically accomplish what a different ruling would have done. Justice Clarence Thomas, in a lengthy dissent, took the majority to task for interpreting the Constitution to mean that citizenship is automatically conferred on anyone born in the United States, regardless of the legal status of the parents. Thomas argued that the ruling “devalues” what it means to be an American citizen. In a 6-3 decision on Tuesday, the majority held that an executive order President Donald Trump issued on the first day of his second term violated the Constitution. The order directed that only children born on American soil to legal residents are automatically citizens of the United States. The Fourteenth Amendment states, in part, “All persons born or naturalized in

The Supreme Court announced its final opinions of the term today, covering some of the most high-profile issues of the term. BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP: The court rejected President Donald Trump's executive order ending citizenship at birth for people born on U.S. soil. The court ruled that the executive order ran foul of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, which has long been interpreted to bestow birthright citizenship on almost anyone born in the United States. TRANSGENDER ATHLETES: The high court, in a ruling that combined two cases, upheld state laws that ban transgender athletes from participating in girls’ and women’s sports. Two student athletes in West Virginia and Idaho sued to overturn the bans.

Diana DeGette facing off against DSA member Melat Kiros. The primary was Tuesday night, and, with 78 percent reporting as of this writing, Decision Desk HQ has called it for Kiros in what may be the biggest primary upset for an incumbent Democrat House member this midterm election cycle. DeGette, 68, is Colorado's longest-serving member of Congress, having been in office since 1997 in a district drawn for Democrat victories.
