Nothing that the Iranians say can be taken at face value because there is no Iranian government. The first and second echelon of that apparatus is gone. So you have the people in the military, that’s one clique. You’ve got the theocracy, the Khamenei, you know, surrogates. That’s another. You’ve got the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It’s probably the most dominant. Then you’ve got these elected politicians. And they have two driving concerns. One, they are terrified that one of the other three groups will think they’re weak and are negotiating with the Americans and either kill ’em or marginalize ’em or cut off their revenues, such as it is.

Great interview/discussion, Besides discussing Iran, VDH brings up Stormy Daniels, her former attorney Michael Avenatti, Ben Rhodes, et et al. I think Trump really doesn't want to destroy Iran's infrastructure in the hope that once the mad mullahs and psychotic IRGC nuts finally surrender or blow their brains put. That the people of Iran will be able re-build their economy and re-join the family of nations.

I think most of us understand that President Trump is a highly intelligent, good-natured [if seriously and bombastically self-promoting] but thoroughly pragmatic man who loves his country and has spent the last decade completely devoted to promoting, preserving, and.yes, trying to save his country. He has seized on elements of this world which he sees as long-standing and genuinely long-term threats to that end, and is doing what he can to pull out these specific demons while minimizing the losses to good people. Those who continue to denigrate and seek to destroy him for his faults, real or manufactured, are either lying to themselves or intentionally lying to the rest of us. The Marxists. Socialist, Progressives, and other ideological ankle-biters of our society and world all understand, at least at some level, that they are contributories to the.ills of the world in which we live, and that they are targets of any righteous wrath. President DJT just happens to be the current, and one of the most effective, instruments. It is justice that is finding its way after so many tolerant years.

The solution to this is so easy. All we have to do is get the CIA to plant stories about all of the Military Commanders, Politicians etc. that they have been talking to the US behind closed doors, and WHAMO, they will be gone from this Earth very quickly. They are all so freaked out they aren't watching their backs 100%

Excellent VDH observations as always, and by commenters here. I have another observation about President Trump that will eventually become a part of history. Namely, he's a brilliant "Warrior President". His moves are very strategic, with large, consequential outcomes as their goals, as opposed to the typical, politically tactical moves most Presidents take. And they are intended not just to gain marginal advantages but to achieve total victory and to disable or destroy our genuine enemies. That's precisely why not just our foreign enemies but our domestic enemies (the Democrats and their enemedia) hate him so much and continue unrelentingly to try to destroy him. I've said it before: President Trump will go down in history as an epic figure. He will be regarded on the same level of global significance as Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar. Regardless of his personal flaws and regardless of the current Lilliputians' deranged efforts to bring him down.

Iran had caught the West in a two sided pincer for over four decades. On one side was the threat to close Hormuz. Europe, especially was terrified of this. On the other was their ability to endlessly drag out discussions like a carpet merchant. With their interlocutors wriggling in this trap they were free to enrich uranium, produce missiles and arm proxies. Instead of arguing each item on their ground, Trump, in one fell swoop turned the entire plot on them. Now the closing of Hormuz is not selectively favoring Iran. And with only a 22 day storage capacity time is not on their side - fiercely. Want to drag out things? Be my guest. THIS is three dimensional chess when your opponent is playing checkers.

Now that the Southern Poverty Law Center is being exposed, it is important to look back at some of the outrageous claims made by this group in the past. It is absolutely amazing to think that in 2015, they put Dr. Ben Carson on an ‘extremist’ list. Is ‘extremist’ one of the words that comes into your mind when you think of Carson? President Donald Trump has signed five executive orders that address critical segments of the nation’s energy infrastructure – a move made under the presidential determinations of the Defense Production Act that allows a U.S. president to mobilize industry for purposes of national security. The two-term president has long pushed for energy development and the infrastructure to support it as a key aspect of national security. The orders, signed amid the U.S. war with Iran, seek to address issues with the aging electricity grid, the need for natural gas pipelines, coal supply chains and large-scale electricity —

After Virginia Democrats successfully convinced voters to approve a constitutionally questionable redistricting push to seize more U.S. congressional seats in the state, Florida is now in the spotlight. In the Sunshine State, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is spearheading an effort to redraw the state’s congressional districts before the midterm elections. Earlier this year, he called a special session of the state legislature to consider redrawing the maps. Now, Republicans see it as an opportunity to cancel out the likely gains that Democrats won in Virginia. Following that vote, allies of President Donald Trump have urged Florida to move forward with its plans before the midterm elections.

Democrats and their ideological allies really do hate America. Earlier this week, Democrat Senator Chris Murphy highlighted a disputed news story claiming that a shadow fleet of several dozen Iranian vessels had successfully eluded the U.S. Navy’s blockade near the Strait of Hormuz. Above what appears to have been Iranian propaganda, Murphy wrote one word: “Awesome.” How much does a Democrat senator have to hate the country he putatively represents to root for a foreign enemy presently engaged in battle with the United States? Murphy’s choice to side with Iran’s Islamic terrorists over American servicemembers should surprise no-one.
