It’s easy to get discouraged about the ongoing redistricting wars with recent developments in California and Virginia, but Republicans did score a significant victory last week that may help. A Missouri judge has cleared the way for a new congressional map that strengthens the GOP’s position and puts a longtime Democratic stronghold squarely in play. Jackson County Circuit Judge Adam Caine ruled that the revised map complies with the Missouri Constitution—this hands Republicans a much-needed win in the escalating national fight over mid‑decade redistricting. “The decision of what municipalities to split is a political and policy determination that is properly

Jackson County is KC, Missouri and has been a hard core leftist Dem playground for the 40+ years I've lived in nearby eastern Kansas. If it could go Republican, that would be a gigantic change.

Democrats are just evil! I’m not sure who said this: “All that evil needs to prevail is for good men to do nothing. “ For too long Republicants have done nothing but they now seem to have grown spines now that PDJT 2.0 is standing up to the Democrats. More power to all good men who stand up to evil.

Buttigieg: Trump ‘Is Unfit to Be the Commander-in-Chief’ 3 replies

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said President Donald Trump was no longer fit for office. Buttigieg said, “What I’m worried about is not the soldiers and the people who are serving. What I’m worried about is their political leadership, like Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump. You know, we lived through a war that was sold to us on false pretenses when I was younger. This war has not been sold on any pretense. The president just went ahead and did it. Here’s the biggest thing that has not changed since the war in Afghanistan or the war in Iraq.

Anthropic’s political orbit has directed more than $200 million in campaign money since the 2020 election cycle, with nearly all of it backing Democrats, while cofounder and CEO Dario Amodei has built a public record of opposition to President Donald Trump that has become part of the broader clash between the artificial intelligence company and the administration. Starting with the 2020 presidential election cycle, Anthropic’s founders, board members, and employees have contributed more than $200 million to political campaigns and causes. Only about $335,000 of that total went to Republicans

Two former campaign managers for former President Barack Obama warned that the Democratic Party is a mess ahead of the 2028 presidential election, due to not knowing what they stand for. Jim Messina explained to Axios that while Democrats are planning to rely on voters’ frustrations with President Donald Trump and his administration to pick up additional seats in the upcoming midterm elections, that is not enough to win the presidency. Meanwhile, David Plouffe warned that Democrats are not ready to win “in what are now red states in neutral and even challenging environments.”

The partial Shutdown of the government has now been going on for almost a month as Democrats refuse to budge on their demands for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reforms. Although ICE is fully funded due to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, other departments like the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are not, leaving the nation at risk of attack and creating travel nightmares at the airports. On Sunday, 10 CEOs from the largest airlines joined forces to tell Congress, enough already! The tweet continued: Today, the @washingtonpost published an open letter to Congress from 10 aviation CEOs—representing the largest U.S. passenger and cargo carriers

As a kid, growing up amongst the wooded hills and white limestone outcrops of Allamakee County, Iowa, I had more than a passing acquaintance with rattlesnakes. Non-poisonous snakes, like bull-snakes and water snakes, I was under orders to leave alone, but the area's big timber rattlers I was allowed to go after, and in the summer I actively hunted them, for the meat (tastes like chicken), their hides, and their rattles. One thing I learned early on: To make sure a snake is dead, you have to cut off its head. That applies to the leaders of rogue nations,

We have reached the point where the Democrats and the media are trying to convince the public that the military and Trump were unaware that the Strait of Hormuz was a strategic chokepoint, vulnerable to Iranian attack. Newsflash: the US military can read maps, and Trump has spoken about the importance of the Strait since the turn of the century. The media and Democrats are desperate to portray what is, legitimately, the most successful military operation in modern history as a chaotic, strategy-free, and failing war that Iran is winning.

Don't misunderstand what I'm about to say. The war in Iran will continue for at least another week, according to President Donald Trump, and probably much longer. There are still hundreds, maybe thousands of targets, human and places, to destroy, thousands of sorties to be flown by U.S. and Israeli forces, and American naval assets will soon be joined by up to 5,000 Marines. There undoubtedly will still be casualties to come, joining the 13 we've already lost in the last fortnight. But not only are we winning this war against Iran, the killer move that all but assures the final outcome

Iran struck and damaged five US Air Force refuelling planes on the ground at Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base, The Wall Street Journal reported, in what would mark a major escalation in the Middle East conflict involving the United States-Israel and the Islamic Republic. “The tankers were hit during a strike in recent days. They were damaged but not completely destroyed and are now being repaired,” one of the officials told the WSJ, adding that no casualties or fatalities were reported in the attack.

Iran wants to hold the Strait of Hormuz hostage. Donald Trump just decided to raise the stakes by taking Iran's entire export capacity hostage. Late this evening, Trump announced that US forces had destroyed all of the military facilities on Kharg Island, through which Iran exports 90% of more of its oil. Trump said he spared Iran's commercial export facilities on Kharg. For now. Nice oil business ya got there, Mojtaba ... Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.

It's way too early to determine whether or not Operation Roaring Lion's objective of bringing down the Iranian regime will be successful or not, but all those military geniuses who claim that it is impossible are stuck in a paradigm that does not apply. Operations Epic Fury and Roaring Lion are unlike anything we have seen in history. That doesn't mean the strategy behind them will work, of course, but it does mean that judging past performance tells you little about future success. The Obama Foundation is looking for 100 unpaid volunteers to work alongside the former president’s highly paid cronies at the $850 million Obama Presidential Center in Chicago when it opens in June. Officials are pitching the no-paycheck gigs as rooted in former President Barack Obama’s legacy of civic engagement. The recruitment campaign comes after Fox News Digital reported that the organization’s CEO, former top Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, was paid $740,000 in 2024. Foundation officials told Fox News Digital the volunteers will complement about 300 full- and part-time employees at the long-delayed center, which the organization is promoting as a $3.1 billion economic catalyst for the Windy City’s South Side.

Travelers nationwide are dealing with lengthy security line backups at airports due to the partial government shutdown affecting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and, in turn, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As the shutdown continues, the TSA is increasingly facing staffing shortages that have led to long lines at airport security checkpoints. Unfortunately, it sounds like those staffing issues are only getting worse. “Travelers are facing TSA lines of up to nearly three hours long at some major airports, causing missed flights and massive delays during peak travel,” the DHS said in a statement.

Electric vehicles are probably the vehicle of the future, but they are not the vehicle of the present. Let’s look at the numbers. An EV uses about six cents of electricity to go a mile. That’s if you charge it at home with inexpensive residential electricity rates. It’s more if you use a charging station, and it’s more if it’s a large vehicle like a Rivian. And by the way, be prepared to leave it plugged in for several hours to get it charged. Gasoline-powered cars use about thirteen cents of gasoline to go a mile, assuming gas is something over $3/gallon and you get something like 25 mpg.

The State Department has cut the fee Americans must pay to renounce their U.S. citizenship by roughly 80%, lowering the cost from $2,350 to $450 under a new rule that took effect Friday. The new fee, first announced in 2023 but not previously implemented, returns the cost to the same level the government charged when it first began requiring payment for citizenship renunciations in 2010. The State Department said in the rule that it lowered the fee as a policy decision to reduce the cost burden on people seeking a Certificate of Loss of Nationality, the document issued after someone formally renounces U.S. citizenship before a diplomatic or consular officer abroad.
